There was one instance in episode two where I had to type out a specific message to continue a text adventure and nothing would work. I eventually was forced to look up a solution and it was a little too specific to be the answer.
Episode three is horribly made and it's a shame because it has a killer plot. Numerous times throughout this portion of the game you're forced to type in certain phrases into a computer, but most of the time all the letters look the damn same. Two phrases I had to input back to back began with "Rot" and "Act" and looked EXACTLY the same on the microfilm reader. I mean EXACTLY the same. Also, the hardest puzzle involves you deciphering a code phrase using a caesar cipher and...how the ♥♥♥♥ are we supposed to know to do that? If it's in the microfilm reader I couldn't find it for the life of me. Do the devs expect their players to be master code breakers or something?

Otherwise, you can right click to zoom in the teeniest tiniest amount, which doesn't help in a game where there's all kinds of stuff you have to interact with that has tiny, tiny text about five feet away from you.
Maybe it's just because I'm old enough to have actually experienced text adventures but I didn't find any of the puzzles particularly difficult, just clunky. There's the usual kind of thing where the parser is too picky, it won't accept "up" when you want to "go upstairs" and you frequently have to "look around" to get the full description of a room. Plus there's none of the shorthand commands a real game from this era.

The game's highlight for me was in its first chapter, The House Abandon. It's a great spin on old classic text-based adventure games with a fun horror twist. The later chapters never quite hit the same heights in terms of scares or atmosphere.

The symbol puzzle at the end of story 2 is indecipherable, and the microfilm in story 3 is almost completely illegible. I really enjoyed the text adventure sections, and loved all of story 2 aside from that last puzzle.
I found the narrative itself interesting, and loved the details tying things together throughout each story. However, I was a bit disappointed with the lack of accountability on the rest of James' family. That's not to say James is innocent; of course he isn't. But I would've liked to see a more nuanced consideration of how his family enabled, and even encouraged, his behavior. James is absolutely to blame for what he did after the crash, of course. But the endgame says nothing about the family's negligence as a whole - if James was the most sober person there, then not a single other person at the house party was a designated driver. That means that ALL of the guests were planning on driving home drunk. This, I think understandably, watered down the intended message of the game for me.

I enjoyed the story, but the text adventure sections were quite frustrating.
The solution? LOOK AROUND. Only then does the generator apparently earn the right to exist, and you can finally use it. It spawns upon looking, f-ing Quantum Generator....
Later, I had to look up solutions because I'd genuinely run out of ideas only to discover that my ideas were correct. I'd just used synonyms instead of the exact word the parser wanted. Great.
The text parts were very frustrating.
The puzzles were easy- it's mostly just inputting data from one side into another. But again, the story was good enough to keep me going, and the way the last episode ties it all together was satisfying enough to earn the game a thumbs up.
