It's heavily inspired by Minecraft, Left 4 Dead and TF2, all while having its own, instantly recognizable characters, aesthetic and humour, which makes this a dream game for me that I'm kind of kicking myself for not trying sooner.
All of the Classes, their tools as well as their weapons, work together in perfect harmony; add the laser pointer to the mix, and you have one of the best Co-op experiences in gaming on your hands.
The social engineering done in this game through themes of camaraderie as well as actual incentive is truly something beautiful, and it has resulted in one of the warmest, most helpful, and overall most awesome communities that I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of.
Deep Rock Galactic is some of the most fun I've had in years, it never fails me. It offers endless variety through the countless weapon modifications that you can unlock, and most importantly, the Overclock system. It also runs really well on most devices, comes jam-packed with 6 Seasons worth of free content with more coming in 2 months and the next year, all while coming with an absurdly low file size for just how much is in this game!

I genuinely think deep rock galactic is one of those games that no matter how much time has passed you will always come back by yourself or with some friends and have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of fun. Even with that said I can't recommend this game anymore just simply based off the fact that the developers have basically given up on this game.
Season 6 was a major disappointment, you'd think that after almost 2 years of waiting we'd get more than just 2 warnings that are just the 2 enemies from one new area. Granted, ossuary depths is actually a really cool area and is the highlight of the season but for an update that took almost 2 years to come out, it is seriously disappointing. Aside from other problems like false promises and no perk tree rework, the sheer existence of games like deep rock galactic survivor and roguecore infuriate me. Deep rock galactic is damn near a perfect game and yet there are so many problems that haven't been worked on and instead have a lot of their resources be put onto subpar games like survivor and roguecore. I could give less of a ♥♥♥♥ about survivor because people actually like the game but roguecore averages a 1/10 of drg's player count and ~1/3 of deep rock galactic survivors player count. This is what makes me so mad is that deep rock galactic could've had so much cooler stuff, enemies and concepts that would've made deep rock's gameplay loop way more interesting. Instead we got a game that nobody likes because deep rocks concept doesn't mesh well with roguelike/roguelite aspects. And also, i get it, gsg got bored of drg and wanted to make a whole new game or that they added so much stuff that it might aswell be another game but ♥♥♥♥ me man drg was so close SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CLOSE TO BEING A TOP 10 GAME. Now atp im just going to lower my standards for upcoming seasons until this games end and end up with a game with way too much potential that just makes me sad.

\n\n\t\t\t\tI genuinely think deep rock galactic is one of those games that no matter how much time has passed you will always come back by yourself or with some friends and have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of fun. Even with that said I can't recommend this game anymore just simply based off the fact that the developers have basically given up on this game.
Season 6 was a major disappointment, you'd think that after almost 2 years of waiting we'd get more than just 2 warnings that are just the 2 enemies from one new area. Granted, ossuary depths is actually a really cool area and is the highlight of the season but for an update that took almost 2 years to come out, it is seriously disappointing. Aside from other problems like false promises and no perk tree rework, the sheer existence of games like deep rock galactic survivor and roguecore infuriate me. Deep rock galactic is damn near a perfect game and yet there are so many problems that haven't been worked on and instead have a lot of their resources be put onto subpar games like survivor and roguecore. I could give less of a ♥♥♥♥ about survivor because people actually like the game but roguecore averages a 1/10 of drg's player count and ~1/3 of deep rock galactic survivors player count. This is what makes me so mad is that deep rock galactic could've had so much cooler stuff, enemies and concepts that would've made deep rock's gameplay loop way more interesting. Instead we got a game that nobody likes because deep rocks concept doesn't mesh well with roguelike/roguelite aspects. And also, i get it, gsg got bored of drg and wanted to make a whole new game or that they added so much stuff that it might aswell be another game but ♥♥♥♥ me man drg was so close SO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CLOSE TO BEING A TOP 10 GAME. Now atp im just going to lower my standards for upcoming seasons until this games end and end up with a game with way too much potential that just makes me sad.

Grenades also have their own specific versions, while they may not boast a huge amount of variety, they still offer very interesting options.

In all this time, I have yet to find a single game that could show me greater deep in its mechanics. Overall, the combination of mechanics is so incredibly well-executed that it is hard to grasp without actually playing the game. Procedural generation, coupled with enemy behaviors and types, as well as the nature of the missions, constantly creates a sense of variety thanks to its unpredictability. The maps feature diverse terrain types, each with its own hazards, such as the risk of freezing on an icy map or getting a face full of magma on a volcanic one. At the same time, the constantly shifting size and myriad terrain details can either make it easier for you to escape the bugs or make it easier for them to surround you or attack from positions where you really wouldn't want them to be.Guns and classes
The game features four classes that are so good when played solo, yet ten times better in a team, that it’s actually startling. They are perfectly balanced and possess traits that fully cover every need. What's next?
I can't imagine a better shooter right now, and I hope that either the game sees further development (though I highly doubt it, I feel its time will run out in a few years) or something similar with an equally original concept comes along. Far Far West, unfortunately, isn't exactly a strong competitor, it won't replace this game for me, simply because the developers decided, for some reason, to make it a roguelike and included very uninteresting weapons. Delta Force? You’d only play that piece of trash if every other shooter in the world ceased to exist, I’ve never seen such boring gunplay. There are plenty of other projects out there, but for some reason, they all chase realism, convinced that it’s what everyone wants... the future doesn't look too bright right now.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\t

The game starts feeling very repetative, run around the cave look for ores then kill bugs. Well obviously....but that is all you do any of the various missions is only slightly different and that is only a handful. The upgrades are good but really at the end of the day I realised I was diving into these caves for cosmetic rewards and to be honest if thats really why im grinding these caves then I dont see the point in playing.

People sink thousands of hours because there's so much variety and arbitrary stuff to do like grinding free seasons.

All they responded with is "we will look into it". Why it matters? Don't advertise mods as part of the game if you hate modders.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tAmazing game and I highly recommend it, but sadly the devs decides to make a sequel instead of more updates so the game is basically in a state of limbo. On the positive side they can't kill the game or ruin it so maybe its a good thing they stopped before they did too much.
