I would say its's about 40% there and that makes me extremely hopeful for this developer. there are a few things that definitely need work on. like when you create a team (which I loved) the colors on the helmet logo doesn't translate so you get the same colors you picked but they are inverted or switched on the logo which was frustrating. choose your team colors need a complete revamp. you have arrows on each RGB color then you must click the arrows to achieve the color you want. I don't like the unrealistic 3rd down conversions. i don't like the instant takedowns of my RBs immediately after they receive the handoff. I don't like the consistency of the CPU stopping my player just short of the 1st down even though the animation shows they clearly made it.

Attempting to start a new franchise from there locks the screen. Restart the game and there it is. Deleting it also does not work. It claims it does but when you exit and restart - there it is like a bad dream.
3. On one attempt to run a Franchise it displayed the following text: "Please Wait."
Yep. That's it. Please Wait. Forever.
4. Wanky settings for Free Agent Pool and Draft Pool Strength: Very Weak, 2, 3, Weak, 5.
Trade Offers uses the very understandable: very low, low, normal, high, very high. Some consistency please.

When you build a large lead, in the last 2 minutes of the first half and the final 7 minutes of the game, the AI team is nearly unstoppable and your team becomes inept. In one run my A+ QB threw an interception on first down in both possessions in the last 2 minutes of the half. And, yeah, the AI team's mediocre QB became superman and quickly scored TDs. I did not bother playing the second half.
Developer: if you read this, put rubber-banding as an option.
6. In the 2027 version, when you start a new Franchise using Random Rosters, you get nearly all A rated players at nearly every position. The 2024 and 2026 versions were much better at providing a more realistic roster.

In one run my A+ QB threw an interception on first down in both possessions in the last 2 minutes of the half. And, yeah, the AI team's mediocre QB became superman and quickly scored TDs. I did not bother playing the second half.
Developer: if you read this, put rubber-banding as an option.
6. In the 2027 version, when you start a new Franchise using Random Rosters, you get nearly all A rated players at nearly every position. The 2024 and 2026 versions were much better at providing a more realistic roster.
Are there other issues? Yes, but listing them all would take a while.

It looks like most of the negative reviews have played barely an hour or less. That's just not enough time playing a game to evaluate whether to recommend or not. Personally, I look for 5-10 hours before I give credence to a review. Okay, that said, this is a game worth buying. I will say right up front - it does not have the graphics or polish of Madden. It also has a price tag 1/3 of Madden. And, it plays a damn good game of football. It has a deep Franchise mode. Unlike Madden, Axis 27 plays well on the Steam Deck. So, if you are looking for a football game (whether you like to control the action on the field or just coach or GM), this is one you should consider!\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
