I do wish there were accessibility options- such as being able to turn off the bobbing motion when moving, and allowing the highlighting colours to be changed. I managed without but it did take me longer than I would have liked due to having to ask another person what was highlighted (colourblind).
Overall, I played the game, finished it, and had a nice evening doing so. I'd give it a decent 6/10 rating and I look forward to seeing what changes come next!\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I did use my keyboard and mouse instead of the controller and thought it was just fine. I think it definitely could have had MORE stuff to label or to put away but I enjoyed the change the history aspect of this one. I would play this again. I finished it very quickly in three hours, and that was getting up frequently. There were some interesting additions to the genre, such as repairing and cleaning as well as some educational elements, but not enough to make it replayable. Hopefully they expand the idea into something that really feels like a massive museum.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Its not just the usual tidy up game, but they added and changed up a few things that I think work really well and made the game a lot less monotonous than the usual in this genre. They made all the doors locked so you need to find keys for them, nothing overly difficult if you keep your eyes and ears open (look up too!!) and because of this you were introduced to all the categories more slowly and it wasn't so overwhelming at the start of the game.
Another thing was that you need to find info books about each of the categories before you can sort and place them. Maybe that sounds annoying, but they aren't that difficult to find and its kinda cool that you need some info before you can assemble a T-rex haha
They also added extra little cleaning tasks-mopping up puddles, cleaning cobwebs, fixing the wood floors or tile walls and this added to the overall satisfaction of completing rooms. Not only are you putting the items in theirs spots, you are also cleaning up the rooms.
I liked the little celebration that happens when you finish a room, I like that I had all the achievements at the end and although i'm kinda sad that I finished it in an evening, I think this was a good size. Larger would probably be too much, but it left me wanting more, in a good way.

I didn't think much of this at first as some games to that, but the pause screen had a 'return to main menu" button that just respawned you and started the game over. it did have a save button but that didn't seem to do anything either as there was no way to load a save without going to the missing main menu. also supposedly middle click on the mouse is drop item but it never worked. First the absolute massive shame that is the constant, never ending loading screens between every single room. This very much breaks the immersion and the ambiance of the museum itself, and would make it infinitely better if they weren't there.. and I can't even see a reason for them to be there? Like there aren't even that many objects in the world to need it? Just a shame.
Secondly, like the similar game called Librarian, this tidy-up game too suffers from giving the players abilities that are way too powerful and sabotage the game's own fun and make the process pointless. For example, choose a certain ability and it will highlight every item you are currently able to place with a bright dot, and also highlight the place it goes for you to put it. Thus turning the joy of exploration examination and discovery into a brainless chase dots, click dot, place dot, chase another dot, etc. The difference with Librarian is there you can use your abilities minimally or even choose to not use them at all.. while in this game there is no way to turn them off.. you are now chasing dots whether you like it or not.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tFun. Addicting. Reminds me a bit of a non-spooky version of Shivers from the 90s, with Professor Windlenot's Museum of the Strange and Unusual, but toned down obviously. The descriptions of all the items are a fun feature. The abilities you pick up along the way add to the fun and add a little variety so it's not all sorting and gathering. The only things that I think would improve the game would be more rooms and/or a spookier version of the same game, maybe with things like alien conspiracies and "strange" science.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Let's break down why.
We'll get the obvious one out of the way- the use of AI during development.
There are no excuses for this, and I only found out after purchasing the product as I didn't read the description far enough. If you need concept art, pay for a concept artist, do it yourself, or ask a friend to do it with you.
Secondly, the gameplay itself.
It is tiringly one-note, even for tidying sim standards, with all of the interactions boiling down to 'go here and press/hold E'. None of the tasks have any other interactions. Clean cobweb? Hold E. Fix the floor? Hold E.
I'm fine with the pre-set map and artefact positions, though that being said some of them are positioned in a way that make looking at them particularly difficult (the therapod room struggles with this, the larger skeletons being rather clustered together).
When you close the game all doors automatically re-lock. You don't lose the keys to unlock them, but it is rather annoying to have to re-unlock the door you're trying to go through once you reboot the game.
The sound effects.
There are only a few I have issues with, my main example being the repairing of the electrical systems. It's balanced very poorly, making it obnoxiously loud compared to everything else, with the squeaky foot-scraping sound that plays throughout not making sense for the action. This happens for a few audio queues.
It's nothing egregious, but of course every little frustrating thing will add to the negative result of this review.
The loading zones.
I have to agree with another review I saw that the loading zones for every single room (while not taking forever for me) feel very unnecessary. It makes transporting items more frustrating as you have to load into a room to check what's in there, and even with max carrying capacity, you can't empty a room of miscellaneous items without going in and out of that loading zone multiple times.
The reward for finishing a room, a display, or an item just doesn't feel worth the effort put into restoring it, and while there could've been interesting gameplay features like cleaning and restoring items, that is ignored in favour of 'hold E to do the thing'.
In the end, while the atmosphere is pleasant and the idea itself is good, the execution feels lacklustre and the gameplay monotonous.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
