While waiting for some of our other friends to say yes or no to the game, I played with a singular friend of mine. We played for about an hour or so and truly had to teach ourselves the game as there were little to no instructions on really anything. We started to get the hang of it and we decided to hop off and wait for some of our friends.
One of our other friends had joined our discord call and had informed us that they had done some digging about the game and learned that not only is a lot of the text, code, and gameplay AI generated, but that some of the developers were not the nicest to those having struggles with the game. I, personally, do not support AI and went to fact check my friend just incase, because as stated, I was the one in my group who first saw this game.
I was sorely disappointed to see that the statements and screenshots sent by my friend were true. I have requested a refund at this time due to these discoveries. I am very disappointed at the things I have seen in these reviews from some developer responses. I am unsure of which team members, if more than one, are the ones with the bad attitudes but I do ask that they try to understand the game issues from a player perspective. In a reply from a dev, I saw that they had both claimed that AI is not in the game, but then proceeded to say anyone not using AI is falling behind.

We'd go into a new floor, have no idea what was happening, immediately die, and get into the lobby and decide on our code words and how we'd communicate the new threat. It was lots of fun and absolutely hilarious! We completed all nine levels in about 4 hours. Highly recommend!\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Learn to communicate, come up with your own codes with your friends. use the lights, knocks or letters and numbers to make things easier. The game is fun once you figure out a code. Dont let people ruin a fun game for you because they cant figure out how to do something other then spelling an entire word and causing your death. Anyways I enjoyed it, hopefully you will as well.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Watching your friend dumbly run through hallways while trying to direct them otherwise and letting them die because they deserve it is great!
There is a skill floor, one that makes it difficult to understand the mechanics and forces you to plan things out with your friends in order to win. We ended up with spamming certain letters for certain monsters, using Yes as a release word, and usually giving vague directions to find the actual rooms. We beat it with three players in around 7 hours.
If you want a silly game to play with your friends, maybe this is too hard. But my group enjoys challenge and had a bunch of fun beating it.
The things I didn't like:
-Some of the map layouts are disgusting to navigate. No doors, just hallways. The best interior is the square, far and away, no competition.
-Spelling the demon's name on levels 8 and 9 can be a little bit frustrating in a way that doesn't feel like a skill issue. Like I said, we beat it. It was just annoying.
-The textures of the wall change every floor. However, one of the floors had a really disgusting texture that gave me a headache and was slightly nauseating to play. (Edited: Just realized the setting for floor 8 noise lets you turn off the texture. Didn't notice until now.)
-The settings page is kinda funny with how badly it's sorted and presented. Not a game killer just funny looking.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Although, it does definently need more replayability to it as once you beat all 9 levels, there isn't much else to do. But I expect there to be more content and replayability added to it as the game moves foward in development.

That being said, I would like to see a couple of the ghosts tweaked a bit. The Turn ghost could use a bit more time before the kill, the Back ghost's point could be chosen in a more forgiving way that'd help the dead guide the living to their point. There were several deaths in the time we played due to having to way to help guide back in the hunt time provided.
The only other ghost was the Jump ghost, and that one mostly just needs something to distinguish it more from the Up ghost. It's too easy to just B-Hop around the map instead of trying to time it right.

That being said I think some UI changes are much needed since it's not visually put together when you're first loading in. I'd love to see more features being added that makes the game harder because after the first 4 hours me and my friends could practically speedrun every level.. also increasing the actual scare factor/horror would be very appetizing. I did not get scared at all which is a bit saddening! All complaining done, I do really want to see all this + better maps, graphics; but it's fun, being with friends and arguing and joking is fun especially when the game is super low storage! Hope to see it turn into something big.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
