\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tGreat in concept, terrible in execution. From a gameplay standpoint, Meccha Chameleon is fine. Technically, though, this game had issues that could put viruses on your PC from an exploit that honestly should have *never* been a possibility. The developers also got hacked at some point weeks after this game dropped, leading to a pretty terrible optics fumble. Besides that, I think this game changed too much too quickly and focused on the wrong thing.

I can’t give the game a good rating based on that alone. Even after the patches, the risk of future workarounds from scam artists to reincorporate malware into the maps is a risk I can’t take. Given the dev team is so small it’s probably hard enough for them to manage cheaters, let alone search every file for malware in every community map.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tMecha Chameleon is a really fun game to play with friends, but it can also be a good time to hop into a random lobby and see what kind of chaos you end up in. It has a similar party-game feel to something like Jackbox, but the painting mechanic makes it feel much more creative and hands-on.
A big part of the fun is seeing what everyone comes up with to blend in (or completely out lol) of the environments. You can be surprisingly creative with the tools you're given, and the game has continued to add new content, which gives it a lot of replayability.
I haven't played in a little while, so I’m hoping joining specific lobbies has gotten easier since I last played. That was one of my frustrations when I played previously.
My biggest concern, though, is the community. As with pretty much any game where people can freely create and write things, there are unfortunately people who use that freedom to make blatantly racist, sexist, or otherwise horrible content. I really hope the developers are continuing to crack down on this, because humans can really suck sometimes. 😅
