Dev made 2 very clear points throughout entire playtest, "12$ at launch" (Even that was high price for an idle game) and no Predatory Packs/microtransactions.
Proceeds to up the price at launch and drops the game with 2 Packs selling AFK time for OVER DOUBLE THE PRICE OF THE GAME.
You might say "oh but cosmetics" I'm sorry but the cosmetics are so "do it once and forget about it" that I changed my appearance one time during the ENTIRE playtest and never touched it again. You're not buying wings and even if you are, they were not worth 30$ to begin with trust me I saw them. You're buying 8 hours of extra AFK time. Which at best is a "safety net" and at worst is literal pay 2 win for leaderboard positions.
breaking down afk more- you start with 8 hours of AFK time base (It was originally 12 base) with the max possible afk with both packs being 24hr. 2/3's of the games possible afk time are locked behind DLC packs after an initial 15$ just to get into an IDLE GAME. Which means if you are spending USD, he's charging you 50$ for 1 day of AFK capability, again I say, FOR. AN. IDLE. GAME. Not an incremental game where you can be clicking constantly, an Idle game, where the entire point is to "set and forget"
Game should have been 10$ Max, with base 24hr afk and a 5$ "Support the dev pack" with maybe a few special "supporter" cosmetics and MAYBE 2-4 extra hrs afk so that leaderboards were decided by dedication not monetary investment.
I was excited for this game Puzzle, but you literally couldn't get past DAY FECKING ONE without getting greedy.

4b: Also, assuming you are genuinely trying to make that "QoL" argument... why is a QOL addon worth double the price of the base game?
As to your last point, I played Idleon, Ive seen a solo developer compete with EA and Ubisoft for scummy developers. If you want to say "Aha but im not as bad as them!" Okay? Congratulations I guess you are not as bad, as the worst developers in the market.
You have a good game, but you (at best) fumbled communication on base game pricing or (at worst) Wildly misrepresented it across the span of months, included an add-on with a predatory price point saying "its to support the dev" but If ppl wanted to "support the dev" you literally have your Ko-fi link embedded in the top corner of the client, and either dont understand OR again are intentionally misrepresenting the impact of additional AFK time.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tWas turned off at first due to the Task System. Thought it was silly to not be able to just go fish for 10 hours if I wanted, but I gave it a try anyways, and now I'm completely hooked. It's a unique system that has a bit of strategy. You start off with very little control, where it is almost entirely random, but overtime you gain more and more control over what tasks you are given, what resource, what location, etc. You're rewarded with more agency as you progress. You have the option of min maxing with frequent check-ins to optimize pathing and other means, or just completely letting it do it's thing with little input. Tons and tons of progression in this game, lots of number go up, many things to complete and collect. The whole system is very interesting.
I get the task system may not be for everybody, it wasn't for me at first, but gave it a shot and now it's addicting. It's not just something extra added to the game that can be taken out due to some negative feedback, the entire game is built around it. You either like it or you don't. I recommend spending some time with it, going through the whole in-game tutorial to see what it offers. It is very fun!

I don't like that the dev (solo dev, credit where credit is due) is pay walling extra offline time in an Idle Game either. It is a massive QoL, and he knows he would only make a fraction of his current Support Pack revenue without it. A bit scummy, but it is what it is. I am rating the game, and the game is very good!
EDIT: Dev just doubled base game offline time in the newest update (now 16 hours instead of 8 hours), along with doubling the support packs too. Thanks for listening to the feedback! If I could liken this game to anything it would be Progress Quest with a Melvor skin/vibe powered by Excel. Another way of seeing it is akin the the Avatar Theory of Consciousness which poses that we are not actually in control of our self, but rather a vessel that is steered by a greater mind/soul/player.
In other words, the best way I can describe this game is a game if nudges. When you are first dropped into the world you will be lost "What do I do?", "How do I control my players?", "Why am I walking across the entire map to do jumping jacks and then walking right back to where I am now to fish for shrimp?"
But in time you learn that there are systems in place to gently nudge your player along the required path. Re-sort your quest paths, reroll them to quests that better fit your goal, change the RNG weights so you get more of this and less of that, focus on combat or crafting or both. These are the powers afforded to you to control the destiny of your avatar. As your avatar grows in power, so do you and the gentle nudges turn into soft pushes and sometimes a nice firm shove.
It's really up to you. Do you want to be a fully involved player and guide your avatar step by step. Go for it. Do you want to go hands off and let fate be your guide. Sure. Over time your avatar will acquire trinkets, doodads, and pets all which slowly grow your power. Though I am sure there is an "optimal" way to play (most people seem to target vigor/walk speed early), in my opinion it isn't really needed. There are leader boards for the sweaty try-hards, but let's be real...if you are reading this thinking "Should I buy this game?" you already missed that bus on that one (so did I).
In my opinion this is a solid second screened, well worth the price. Give yourself a day or two with the mechanics, it really isn't as complicate as it looks at first glance.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Mapping out what skills to work on and laying everything out efficiently just scratches that weird part of my brain causing me to feel addicted to an idle game. There is just so much to this game that is well done by such a small team that this deserves recognition and success. Player base is slowly growing daily and I hope to see it take off.

The dev has added 2 DLCs they're claiming are to "just support" the dev and they keep claiming it offers just qol and isn't a pay2win option. Issue is the game has leaderboards. People got jobs and lives where they can't just "reset the timer with a 5 second login" (this is something the dev told someone who left a negative review). The DLCs (in CAD currency) are over 4 times the discounted price of the game currently and yet the dev says there's "no greed involved". Supporter packs for most other games are around 10 bucks. This guy chose almost 40.
I had no issues with this, to be honest, since they're running servers and whatever so honestly that's not what my gripe is about. I'm refunding the game because of the awful responses from the dev. Dev is very defensive in every response and they respond to almost all the negative reviews and are just plain rude? They're taking 0 feedback from people that are interested in their game but have issues with where it is and instead of just taking the feedback and working on it or even ignoring it they felt like they needed to justify what they've done and are treating players as if they're dumb. People have a right to complain when you release DLCs that give the players willing to spend such outrageous prices on and idle game that gives them advantages. Not everyone is going to set timers and camp their phones or leave their computers on all the time to run your game and so the fact that people can pay for extra offline hours so they only need to open the game once a day to reap rewards IS a pay2win option considering the leaderboards in the game.
This is a direct quote from the dev to another negative reviewer:
"If the camping guy has a phone he isn't behind. Or if he leaves his PC on. There are options to be online 24/7 that are extremely simple. It's a bit of qol. If you don't like it that's okay but to call it predatory is downright laughable. The packs are some customization and QOL to help support the future of the game. It's not for you. That's okay. But attacking it or calling it greedy is straight up insane behavior."
He's calling someone that paid for their game, thought a pricetag nearly 4 times the current price of the game for DLCs that DO give an advantage, insane. Yes, please keep invalidating players' feelings about your horrible DLCs lmao, totally doesn't make you unlikeable or anything. Dev sayd it's just some customization and a bit of qol but they're downplaying how much is in the DLC and it's definitely predatory to the people that want to grind a game like this and aim for leaderboards but can't or don't want to open the game 3 times a day to do so.
Dev's responses just left a bitter taste in my mouth when I looked through them, hence this review. I'll be refunding this game and it's a shame because it was something that definitely looked right up my alley but I don't want to support someone like this.

The reality of it is people have lives and not everyone is willing to to turn a video game into a mandatory chore, something I think weโre all far too comfortable with normalizing (sometimes multiple logins a day are considered a "necessity" like with this game) with the rise of gacha games that weโve lost sight of the fact that peopleโs lives donโt revolve around games. Also, the game is called an IDLE game, right in the title. Being so active and hands on defeats the purpose of it being as such, needing to babysit it constantly does NOT make this an idle game so saying "the top players haven't gone offline once" like it's supposed to be a flex? That means this dev failed at making an idle game.

Everything plays itself, you equip armor and weapons, but thats pretty much it, it will rotate task randomly which you've little to no say in, you get to choose between combat and skilling, you may add a tiny RNG weight to what you want, but really does little.
It will choose for whatever reason nodes thats 20+ minutes away, instead of the node thats right next to you.
XP is extremely slow, 4hours in and my highest stat was level 4.
Think of this as OSRS without sprint, played by a BOT and with 5% the xp rate.
I love me a slow IDLE game, but this aint it. atleast not for me.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI have over 2000 hours in the Scapewatch playtests. I was rank #1 for a good portion of playtest one and I was on the top page of hiscores for all of playtest two. It has become my favorite game of 2026. Unlike most games, Scapewatch scales progression differently. The farther you advance into the game the more agency you have as a player. This has made all aspects of gameplay extremely rewarding for me, it feels like no matter what I want to work on I'm always feeling a meaningful sense of progression as I go.
The gameplay loop is simple but addicting, unlike most games, you don't get to choose where your player goes or what skill they are training. You cannot make any actual, independent choices in this game - you can only adjust the odds of your own personal lottery. The game gives you tasks, you walk at a snails pace to them, and then eventually you get to make meagre adjustments to the production outputs, probability of recurrence, and potential locations those tasks occur in. RNG *in* a game is great. RNG *being the whole game* is not great.
But, the beauty of an idle game (or in this case an idle-idle game) is that you don't really have to play it, so I guess I'll let it run in the background and check it every once in a while until I forget about it and find something better to do with my time.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

However, my reason for giving this game a negative review, is because of the tasks system. To put it simply, you don't choose which skill you train, which 'item' you grind from the skill, or which location you do that.
It's all random.
You could want to do a mage build, but your tasks will make you go make leather straps, then mine something, only for maybe get some imbue materials later.
You can reroll tasks and choose between 2 other of your choice or keep your current one, giving up on the current task is also possible.
You can manipulate the tasks so that you have more chance to get the skills you want to train, but you need a higher level for that. But when you start, every skills is at 6%, which some of them at 8%.
Then you need to manipulate the item of the skill you want.
Then the amount of it.
Then the area where you'll do it.
Honestly, it could have been an extremely good idle game. But i never felt so genuinely powerless at what i could do.
I'm a simple man. I like seeing so many possibility, so many items, so many content!
But i want to be able to do that whenever i want, in the way i want to.
I don't want to manipulate RNG, i don't want to look at a world map and think of the perfect setup as to how i could manipulate the tasks chance to have the smallest travel distance possible.
I want to click "Fish -> Catch shrimp" for 2 to 4 hours.

\n\n\t\t\t\tHowever, my reason for giving this game a negative review, is because of the tasks system. To put it simply, you don't choose which skill you train, which 'item' you grind from the skill, or which location you do that.
It's all random.
You could want to do a mage build, but your tasks will make you go make leather straps, then mine something, only for maybe get some imbue materials later.
You can reroll tasks and choose between 2 other of your choice or keep your current one, giving up on the current task is also possible.
You can manipulate the tasks so that you have more chance to get the skills you want to train, but you need a higher level for that. But when you start, every skills is at 6%, which some of them at 8%.
Then you need to manipulate the item of the skill you want.
Then the amount of it.
Then the area where you'll do it.
Honestly, it could have been an extremely good idle game. But i never felt so genuinely powerless at what i could do.
I'm a simple man. I like seeing so many possibility, so many items, so many content!
But i want to be able to do that whenever i want, in the way i want to.
I don't want to manipulate RNG, i don't want to look at a world map and think of the perfect setup as to how i could manipulate the tasks chance to have the smallest travel distance possible.
I want to click "Fish -> Catch shrimp" for 2 to 4 hours.

It scratches all my runescape desires, and with it being an idle game. I don't actually have to sit in motherlode mine mining for months on end for 99 mining because my character does it while i'm offline.
People are complaining about the DLC, but honestly, it's the only buyable thing in the game, and it supports the SOLO dev. So there's no reason to really complain about it. It's not that much money.
The graphics and in-game world are beautiful, and to know it wasn't done by AI but actually by real artists is super awesome. Some people are getting pets already and the hi-score leaderboards are already full of try-hards.
However, I got in early and was able to secure the name ghost so i'm happy. I'm planning on doing a pure skiller just like I do in OSRS. The game totally lets you do that to, although some tools are locked behind combat, they are not necessary to level a pure skiller. Your progress just might be slower, though it's no different if you were leveling agility in OSRS as a pureskiller and didn't have access to the combat locked courses.
Overall this game is really great, and I hope to see it one day rival OSRS in numbers as you can tell the dev put a lot of work into it.
My only complaint? The wings are currently broken in-game and do not appear even if you bought the DLC, which kinda sucks but it's w/e. When the dev fixes it I will be dripped out.
