There are two major cons for me:

In addition, some of the unlocks just seem unbalanced in the sense that they appear to be both pointless (you will never recoup the investment in those skills) as well as being optional. The number of unlocks is absurd, which makes it virtually impossible to be strategic about what to select. And it doesn't really have a satisfying conclusion. You just unlock something and you get a 'congratulations' pop-up. I don't think there was any indication that this unlock was something you were specifically building towards, and it's just buried off in a random corner of the unlock tree.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Nope, like 8 hours later I had already started a new game again, which is nearly pointless. You only get +20% bonus income for prestiging, which isnt very helpful. You can 100% the game in one run, resetting would honestly take way longer, because once you have that income momentum, its just a waiting game on the researcher to unlock the upgrades. Its my only complaint, that the replay game isn't stronger.
But the game has excellent chill vibes. Once everything (or most everything, the duster was definitely a cruely hidden very late game upgrade T_T) is automated, the game pretty much runs itself on rails. Its a good game to play while binging a series where you only half need to pay attention.

The first full playthrough is a couple of hours of active play - though somewhere in the mid game, it also becomes viable to do some idling . Subsequent prestige runs add a 20% income boost each time. I've gone 4 prestige levels deep (so 2x income) and each run does speed up considerably. I am excited for any eventual updates to increase content and the prestige mechanic (maybe larger bookstores as super expensive upgrades only viable after some prestige runs?)
Only a couple of critiques:
- I do wish there was a little more depth to the late game/prestige mechanic, as each prestige run is just the same game again, but slightly faster. This is, to be fair, communicated well (a prestige run is called "New Game+" instead of "prestige run"). However, I've gotten almost 30h (at time of review) of playtime out of this game which is much more than I expected, so this is by no means a dealbreaker
- some QOL featuers are missing, e.g., bulk buy (there is a huge number of upgrades and, especially in the mid/late game a couple of prestiges down, the clicking does start to get a little annoying)
