Dice Tavern is the kind of âone more runâ game that actually delivers. Classic Farkle at the table, then a roguelike layer on top: unique dice, synergies, weights, coatings, badges, and the constant choice of banking or rolling again. That loop kept pulling me back. Every run I was hunting a new dice combo or power-up chain that would push the score higher than last time.
The âjust one more rollâ tension is the whole point, and it works. When a synergy clicks and the score explodes, it feels great. When you Farkle after getting greedy, it stings in the right way. Easy to pick up, hard to put down, and a solid time-killer if you like dice games and build-crafting.
Where it falls short is depth. I wanted more variety in the power-ups, more characters that actually change how you play, and more difficulty options so later runs donât feel like the same climb with slightly different dice. The core is strong enough that those extra layers would make it a lot more replayable instead of âgood until youâve seen most of the builds.â

I just buy upgrades willy-nilly thinking they will help, but I have no idea what they do since the terms they use are not familiar to me, but fun no less. 9 out of ten, would get farkled again. Once you add in the roguelike elements and the synergy's and how the game works its addicting and i have put a couple friends of mine onto the game however this game is definitely niche. The replayability is great and once you beat the game there is still a endless mode, however my one gripe is that you can't keep your run going once you beat all the taverns in a run. I had a great run but i wanted to break the game. It would be interesting to see the scaling and how the battles play out. if you do beat the game the endless mode essentially tosses you into a random farkle match with randomized dice badges stickers and consumables and that's it. If you're unsure on weather or not to play hopefully you give it a shot like i did.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
