As a fan of simulation games like Football Manager, I feel right at home selecting low rank mercenaries and training them up to become highly valuable and sought after warriors to make huge profits off of. The fact that there are dozens of classes to learn and exploit just makes me so giddy to dive in and see how much staying power this bad boy truly has.

Gameplay can be quite dynamic and complex as you want to be; you could fine tune every detail of your club by carefully reviewing and selecting what mercenaries join your team, how they train, and what strategies you would like them to adopt when they're clashing against other opposing combatants inside the arena matches. As your club grows with renown, members, and coin, you are also able to trade mercenaries by making offers to rival clubs and partake in auction bids to have chance to claim powerful champions to your membership.
This is just simply one slice of the game and will certainly scratch that itch for those that enjoy management aspects of team building. You also have the chaotically fun battle arena gameplay that can be both enjoyed passively as an auto battler (With optional strategic directives you can give to the team beforehand and in real-time) or you can take it a step further with a hands-on approach by piloting one mercenary as the captain role and take full control of their skills and movement.
Eslabong has broad stroke of appeal to many different kinds of players, so I would recommend to dip your toes into the demo and have fun there first. I'm quite happy with the early access purchase myself, and have great hopes to see how the game evolves into the full release and beyond-- there's a very promising foundation in this passion project, with an active developer who has been making great effort and implementations towards ongoing suggestions, optimisations and fixes.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

It obviously needs a few more features (the academy/training feel like they do nothing lol and there needs to be like, research or something at a certain point reaper mage and sentinel are too OP and you don't need to buy anyone else) but game is awesome. 10/10\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

The game itself is simple in concept but varied and complex in implementation; run a club of fighters, pit them against other clubs in a season format. Somehow the game manages to take that simple core and make it really involving and dynamic by having so many options, from fighters' classes, to relics, to level-up skill selections, to assigning individual tactics to each fighter. The game can be as simple or as complex as you want it. If you're a fan of gladiator management -style games, this is an easy recommend.

I played the demo through the first season and I’m hooked. Tons of stats that are recorded throughout the season. The UI is simple and doesn’t give you a headache for the amount of info it gives you. There are SO many classes that you see and they all feel unique to some degree and the same with the champions.
Genuinely blown away by the variety and so far I haven’t found anything that’s out of balance in a rock paper scissors way. You make decisions for your Mercs behavior and you will see the difference it can make in the fight which has completely deterred me from skipping every battle to just get results, which is what I usually finding myself doing with a lot of similar games.
Also really enjoying the fact that you can make money by farming up low lvl Mercs within your organizations academy team (think triple a team if you’re the MLB team) to then sell them off or maybe find a diamond in the rough… Needless to say I’m invested in my squad.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
