Starting with the good, the concept is excelent, finally allowing expression of mechanical skill in an incremental/idle game that I have not seen before. Excecution of the platforming elements is excelent. Movement is tight and the level design is great. Almost every part of the game has 2 or more routes that allow quicker traversal as you unlock movement abilities.
The big weakness is that the idle part is just not very good. No real prestige, no builds, no interesting upgrades other than new movement tech, the game "expands" a little after the first few levels but its just more of the same. There is just a couple simple multipliers that you upgrade on each level/globally, and one of them is the best time you have achieved on the level. This is where the mechanical skill ties in, but it doesnt work as well as i'd hoped due to diminishing returns. You could spend 10 minutes grinding out an extra 0.5s on a level but on a 20-30s level thats not even a 10% increase.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI really love the game, finding secrets is satisfying and the upgrades are mostly gret, but one of the "upgrades" ruins it all for me, the moment you unlock the directional Dash you lose access to the Double Jump, and the game becomes unplayable, if you do some exploring, you can easily find yourself softlocked beacuse the game requires the double jump to get out of a specific spot, and since it is gone, there is no way to get unstuck.
For now I will have to give it a not recommended rating, but I hope it can be reversed soon.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

You arent supposed to do a lap once then "Wait" the clones barely give you as many points as actively doing and it, and later on you get multipliers a certain amount of time you complete it manually. And it doesn't get "boring quick" and "same gameplay loop" they keep introducing new mechanics every 20min on average. To me at least a lot of the reviews currently are jumping the gun to giving their opinion to refund it before they reach the 2 hours which is very sad.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tOne of the brilliant things about this game is that it always gives you an option not to be idle, Sure, you can complete a course once and then let the idle mechanics take it from there, but you can also choose to fill your time by challenging yourself to get better and better times.
Not done with the full game yet, but the B-sides on the demo showed that you can ramp up the challenge for yourself hugely, which only increases the satisfaction when you squeak out a new level and even more when you master the hardest versions.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

(and i think 5 bonus courses?), and the entire second half of the game is contained in a small squareish area.

However, there is an unlock that you have to get to progress and it takes away the ability to double jump and turns your dash into an omni-directional jump. It genuinely ruins the game at this point. The platforming feels really bad afterwards after spending hours with the double jump. I'm hoping that they patch it or something to give us a toggle between omni-dash and double jump because it feels terrible. I recommend the game if they can fix that otherwise I think most people are going to be incredibly frustrated.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

1. the incremental part of the game starts getting slower and slower, ive "finished" the game which unlocked vman courses, basically starting from the beginning and speedrunning every level, the problem is the cost to add just 1 singular second to vman speedruns costs wayyyy too much
2. it doesnt appear to save your game state whenever you enter a vman speedrun so my progress got set back to the last autosave
3. theres some jumps in the "first" mossy course that seem incredibly hard when you unlock omni-dash, until i figured out dashing forward on the stone and jumping in quick succession would leave you with an extra dash

I think the concept is great and the presentation is very well done and it even is paced very well I'd say, but of course the pacing will depend on how well you can optimize the courses.
