And after putting that much money and time into the game, what did I get?
No clear explanation.
No meaningful information about what I supposedly did wrong.
No indication of what specific activity triggered the ban.
Just access taken away after I had already dumped both money and an absurd amount of time into the game.
If 2K is going to remove access to an account that someone has spent real money and dozens of hours on, the absolute minimum should be:
Tell me what rule I violated.
Tell me what activity triggered the ban.
Give me an actual human review process.
Instead, I am left trying to guess what supposedly happened to an account that I legitimately spent money on and spent almost 70 hours playing.
That is completely unacceptable.
As if the account situation was not ridiculous enough, this week's patch also increased the shooting difficulty in single-player MyCAREER.
I genuinely do not understand what this is supposed to accomplish.
It is SINGLE-PLAYER.

Custom shots feel like they fire on release no matter what you change it to throw a meter on go in crew hq and try it yourself. If you alt tab game bugs half the time and your controller stops working and you're forced to quit then get banned for an hour because of the slop code of 2k. Ronnie I hate. Oh and pure p2w like always unless you dont see the sun or a shower. Also setting are different in like 4 portions of the game. Not to mention you have to spend $100 to make a new build and when you do it wont make the game anymore fun because the gameplay is extremely bad. You have almost 0 control of your player at all times with the animations your character gets forced into. Shooting is terrible, dribbling is awful because youll just drop the ball all the time, rebounding is awful as a 7'0 center you can get outrebounded by a PG. I have spent $500 on this game and have builds for each position and i play 2k every year, this is the WORST game ive ever played. After the latest update, NBA 2K27 refuses to download shaders and keeps telling me to update my graphics driver. My NVIDIA driver was already updated, and I even upgraded Windows 11 to 26H2 because 2K claims the latest Windows version is required. And guess what? It still doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work.
I wasted my time updating Windows for a game that still can't get its own shader download process right. If your game depends on a specific driver release to support Advanced Shader Delivery, then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ communicate that clearly. Don't leave players guessing, updating their systems, reinstalling drivers, and wasting hours trying to fix your broken ♥♥♥♥.
Who the ♥♥♥♥ releases an update with requirements that aren't clearly explained, then leaves players stuck with a broken game? Get your ♥♥♥♥ together, 2K.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tVisually, the game looks great. The graphics are one of the stronger aspects of the experience, and I really like the new badge system and revamped Takeovers. They add some interesting changes to how builds can play and give us more ways to shape our playstyle.
The new Career co-op was also a really awesome idea. Unfortunately, I don't think the execution was quite there. I like the concept of being able to experience MyCAREER with another player, and the runner-mate idea was pretty cool, but I think it would have been much better if the second player could actually use their own MyPLAYER. Though I guess that could create problems with how the storyline plays out.
Hackers/cheaters continue to be an issue... not surprised though. Shaders can take take awhile to download as usual depending on your specs, though that's why the graphics are good. I've also had my controller settings randomly reverting back to default, which is especially annoying since this is a constant problem with past 2K games.
The change from Tempo Shooting to Rhythm Shooting is another mixed bag for me. I don't necessarily think the new system is bad, but it definitely took some time in getting used to. It felt like they slight improvement on the contest system, yet you can barely notice it. Either you get contested from snow bunnies that can recover from jumping in .01 millisecond after landing, or you contest someone heavily who tries a high difficulty shot and greens it in your face.

Shaders can't be downloaded and building them locally results in an experience with frame rates measured in seconds per frame rather than frames per second.
