Hearth and Hamlet is EXACTLY the kind of cozy game I love. There’s something incredibly satisfying about building up my little settlement, watching it grow, and slowly turning it into a place that actually feels like home.
The vibe is chill, the art style is super cute and yay pixal ! , and the whole game has this relaxing feeling without becoming boring. There’s always something to work toward, but it never feels like the game is rushing me.
I also love that the demo gave me enough of a taste of the game to know that this was 100% something I wanted to support. And now I’m happily sinking hours into my own little town.
If you enjoy cozy management games, town building, or just want something relaxing that you can get completely absorbed in, Hearth and Hamlet is absolutely worth checking out.

I'm playing on "Challenging" difficulty and was initially worried the combat might be stressful but, somehow, even the combat manages to be cozy with the challenge truly being in the resource management rather than needing any sort of frenetic gameplay or split second decision making from you. I'm having so much fun allocating my workers and moving things back and forth because right now I need wood and then suddenly I need more gold...everything feeds into itself in such a satisfying way. I can tell I'm gonna put a ton of time into the game and really recommend it to anyone who enjoys cozy games and resource management.

I like that you don't have to click on things but you can hold down your mouse button instead that helps a lot. I don't want carpal tunnel too fast. Thanks for that. Also I love the fact that the game can run in the background and you can pretty much go and do other things while your game is playing. The lower difficulty settings provide a great "cozy" experience that rewards efficiency while being very casual friendly. The higher difficulty levels will test your ability to min max but stay flexible and agile enough to respond to emerging issues. The over all package is fun and engaging and sits with the best of the genre keeping that dopamine drip running. Quite a bargain for the asking price in my opinion.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

No boring / pointless prestige system to waste your time, sense of progression is amazing.
Despite you can't really lose in the game , two sections of the game is actually challenging on higher difficulty because you need to make the right upgrade choice asap or enemies will keep wiping you again and again .(undead part) It makes this game having more urgency than most games of the same genre.
You can see so much passion put into this little game, 9 hrs of raw contents without prestige system to waste your time, that's how much REAL content this game has to offer. Rare to see an incremental game putting this much effort into content nowadays. As an incremental fan, highly recommended.

It’s also not like the typical city building games, which I really like. The research system with the book is simple and easy to understand, which makes researching new buildings much less complicated.
You do have to stockpile some resources for a while to make sure you have enough in the end, but I actually like that. The army system is also kept very simple without tons of unnecessary stuff, which makes the game really easy to get into, especially for beginners who want to try out city
building games.
