Graphically, It reminds me of that game Bus World with driving a bus through different disaster scenarios although in here there are no such disaters and hopefully there will will never be.
There are a few bugs like slow responsive controls and small hit boxes to register those controls but other then that it is good. Hopefully the devs won't abandon the game as it is a little gem with a good potential.
The environment setting feels inspired by South America with small dirt roads and colorful architecture style. The map is pretty big. All in all, on this 1st day of early access it is 7/10 from me.

The game fills a niche that I am glad to add to my library. It reminds me of Driving Life. I tried DL but it would often crash when a job came over the phone, so i refunded that game. My impressions of Minibus Simulator is it is done much better.
Game play is pretty basic but it has a couple things that are missing from my other bus sims. Namely, loading and unloading luggage. Not sure why, but that is a feature I miss in every other driving sim. It has a self bay car wash with a wand, and then another that is automatic. You can get out and walk pretty much anywhere. You get to open your gas cap and fuel you bus with the nozzle. Go inside to pay and buy a car wash ticket. A couple games have some type of car wash but not 2 types. Its really the luggage loading that makes it a must have for me and the fact is based in South America somewhere. That and everything works with at least 2 smaller issues at this stage. More on that later.
Pros - Decent graphics. I was worried when I saw it was a Unity based game, but it looks good right out of the box
- Its stable for me. No stutters or slow downs
- Fun game play, though repetitive. Its not a game I play for hours on end, but 1 that goes into my driving sim rotation.
- You can look around left/ right or any direction while steering with the A/D keys, you just hold you right mouse button down and then move the mouse. As soon as you release the button, the camera will stay in that position, so you need to move it back to forward to drive again. Took me awhile to find this as before I did, there is not a good way to look left or right to check traffic.
Hiccups - A certain beige piece of luggage I can never unload from the back. I have to go inside the bus and pull it out from the back seat.
- I have problems getting the bus to stop on an incline. After stopping with the S key, it starts to roll down hill. You can't hold the S key because it doubles as the break and reverse. I guess your suppose to shift to neutral and then hit S? I can't find a parking brake. UPDATE: Spacebar is the parking break, You have to keep it pressed and then hit F to quick exit.
- the exterior camera view that rotates is janky. It doesn't like to go 360 degrees. It tend to change direction after you go 180 degrees, but you can get it to rotate all around with a couple tries.
I recommend the game but I have no idea how easy it is to set up a wheel in this game. See other reviews for that. I give it 8/10. Keep in mind its not a big game play loop.

I'm left with a slightly unpolished looking Transit van springing merrily into the sky while I watch in utter bemusement.
The handling is awful. PS1 era. The camera angles are terrible. You can't even look around whilst in your van. I did one route before giving up. The entire journey, some American moaned about my bus being dirty and my aggressive driving (mate, I haven't even started!)
Passengers appear to have a free ride or he would've complained about the fare too.

This game has a lot of potential, already could have been a full release, I think. And the developers have a pretty exciting roadmap. They seem to care the community. \n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI love the game so far, played my own music and hung out. City feels cozy and lively, driving the minibuses is so fun and smooth, I want to get them all asap. Definitely recommending to people who like simulation games and especially driving and exploring. Since it's in early access atm, it has some rough edges to be polished, like the UI (could be more tactile) and the map. e.g. I'd like to be able to pick a location on my map so that I get to there via navigation etc. I eventually learned some main roads and general layout, but some signs on the road showing neighbourhoods and main roads would be epic! I see a huge potential in the game, there are a lot of possibilities for development. Other than the upcoming features the dev team mentions, I'd love to have an option to buy a racing car or a sports car with the excess money I make after getting all the minibuses! I see myself playing this game for many hours so I'll definitely want to grind for something special to buy in the end :) All in all, kudos to the team, and thank you for listening to your audience.
