The eroge part is also pretty nice, as the protag portrayed has quite some sass and personality to accompany those firm melons. Scenes and animations are plentiful and a nice break in-between combat. One of the better H-games to be released this year in my book.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tA good looking ninja themed eroge beat em up action platformer with surprisingly decent life simulator elements that can run on a potato. That's what you get with Dark Hunter Kuro for much less than you would spend at Five guys, burgers, and fries!
If you were disappointed by the adjacent Lady Death brawler that was overpriced and undercooked, Dark Hunter Kuro will soothe that feeling of betrayal festering in your damaged soul. Stamina bar shenanigans aside, it has the smoothest most layered fighting, parrying, grappling, impact, crowd control, redirection, and combo chain system I have interacted with in quite awhile! This is not a game to ignore for being mere gooner slop. Dark Hunter Kuro is competently made. The developers understand what made the classics of Streets Of Rage 2, Final Fight 3, Ninja Gaiden 2, X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, and Revenge Of Shinobi so top tier.
The overall set up? Somehow Tachio's spirit gets mixed up in an alternate future time line where demons and demon hunters are real. When meeting the busty kunoichi Kuro, Tachio's essence envelops her ninja suit as if he is Venom merging with Eddie Brock. The mc becomes a shape shifting battle symbiote whom gains access to the memories of Kuro's deceased father. Lewis, but I was pleasantly surprised how competently the character portraits, manga styled panels, voice acting, and animated sprites conveyed the overall relatability of Kuro and Tachio when they are hanging out between missions. Dark Hunter Kuro is a rare gem like Sin Spire and Huuma Mina: The Secret Of Immortality where you get your twitch junky button masher fix along with some thoughtful character development and fascinating lore in the same package.
Downsides? Enemy mobs can end up cornering you and mercilessly hit-chaining you into oblivion. (Really "lock in" your timing when it comes to parry blocking as it will be your life-line during boss encounters as well as when you are getting swarmed by nasty critters on both sides.) While most of the explorational platforming is nice and easy, there are certain places that are "janked" when you try interacting with them. (Other gamers have mentioned dropping frame rates and crashes. Fortunately, those particular woes have not happened to me.)
You do get to upgrade Kuro by accumulating and spending gems into improving her stats. As certain thresholds are surpassed, Kuro learns increasingly devastating techniques to add to her power up que. If you are hitting a wall I suggest going back to the apartment. There you can level her up and give her a massage if she needs some tender loving encouragement!
Lastly, the soundtrack is high art in and of itself. Certain songs herein have competent vocals and hauntingly profound melodies. The heavy metal shredding during certain fights enhances your overall motivation as well! (Insert Vergil voice)

One of the very best beat em ups and spectacle fighter hybrids in the current A-O space hands down. Though I was unlucky enough to trigger a bug that hindered my progress during my first attempt, Dark Hunter Kuro has a sincere heart as big as her bouncing breasts!
If Stellar Blade and Action Taimanin were able to do a kinky fusion dance straddling atop of the very best of Genesis and Super Nintendo cartridges from Gen X's lost childhood it would result in Kuro's identical body double! Did that description spark something profound deep inside? Then you are probably the target audience...

I did not encounter the bug I mentioned on my 2nd save during my 2nd playthru.
Here is what I did differently this time around...
1. Deleted my previous save to start over.
2. Did all the side quests that are accessed via Kuro's smart phone.
3. Massaged Kuro regularly to keep her fatigue meter down.
4. Engaged in the love making segments with Kuro to increase our overall trust and intimacy rank. I neglected these interactions previously because I did not immediately notice the "Press Y for snu-snu" prompt. Talk about not being able to see the forest thru the trees. Doh!
I completed the backlog of optional content up to that point before engaging in Chapter 3's laboratory stage that is slotted right before the Chapter 3 boss fight. Seems to have done the trick. What a relief!
[What happened previously]
The last laboratory section in stage 3 right before the next boss fight seems bugged. Tachio and Kuro are collecting batteries to turn on the power. There is a certain area enemies are supposed to spawn in yet they do not. As such the diamond shaped pegs Kuro latches onto with her scarf to swing across or upwards do not appear either. This occurs shortly after they collect the first 3 batteries to fix the first fuse box as they progress downwards to collect the next set of batteries to handle the 2nd fuse box. The glitched room is the one on the right where one of the batteries for the 2nd fuse box is on a platform above Kuro's head. (I know this from watching a youtube let's play.) I had to reset to a previous checkpoint to get out. From then on it seems to loop with no ending in sight. Hope this gets fixed as otherwise I've been thoroughly enjoying myself.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
\n\n\t\t\t\tIf you were disappointed by the adjacent Lady Death brawler that was overpriced and undercooked, Dark Hunter Kuro will soothe that feeling of betrayal festering in your damaged soul. Stamina bar shenanigans aside, it has the smoothest most layered fighting, parrying, grappling, impact, crowd control, redirection, and combo chain system I have interacted with in quite awhile! This is not a game to ignore for being mere gooner slop. Dark Hunter Kuro is competently made. The developers understand what made the classics of Streets Of Rage 2, Final Fight 3, Ninja Gaiden 2, X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, and Revenge Of Shinobi so top tier.
The overall set up? Somehow Tachio's spirit gets mixed up in an alternate future time line where demons and demon hunters are real. When meeting the busty kunoichi Kuro, Tachio's essence envelops her ninja suit as if he is Venom merging with Eddie Brock. The mc becomes a shape shifting battle symbiote whom gains access to the memories of Kuro's deceased father. Gets very repetitive, I actually TURNED DOWN the difficulty because of how repetitive it is, just so I could finish fights quicker and get it done with. The combat is very one dimensional and basic. That doesn't change at all through the whole game. Playing this on the harder difficulties just turns into grind and not the satisfying sort either, the enemies just literally take longer to beat. That's it.
The talking "dead guy that is now a suit" that she has to wear, is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cringe. Like a teen that has no experience of women and can only go off what he's seen from watching too much porn. proper grating and immature, the writing for this character is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful and some of the absolute worst I've had the unfortunate pleasure of having to read. Absolute dribble.
As expected, she warms up to it (obviously) and you get to ♥♥♥♥ her after she's been out fighting about half way through the first act. (obviously)
The character model is very stereotypical of hentai games and the genre in general. [Massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tits, tiny little hourglass waist and a big ass]
As for the story, it's ok, nothing special and pretty forgettable, Didn't engage me at all and didn't really care about it. I just constantly found myself just getting it done with so I could clear the level.
Definitely something you have to avoid when making a game, and it fails this spectacularly.
Only plus was the retro feel and the pixel gfx.
Otherwise for £14.49 - no chance, don't even bother wasting your money. Wait for for one of steams 90% off sale or something.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t-First ever review for a game- Finally beat the main campaign around 8.5 hours, when I saw the trailer the combat looked so fun to which of course made me had to try it out. it is so fast paced and fluid, you can combo chain combos with special skills, combo chain enemies in the air (or on the ground) with your cloth grab skill to do saucy air combos and continuations, wall bounces (like a fighting game), ultimate attacks ect. Which is super addicting! i just wish there was a endless wave mode with maybe a score/leader board and a boss rush mode as there is a good amount of challenging bosses that will keep you on your toes! Something to do once you beat the game. there also pretty challenging side quest in addition with a pretty solid and decently length story. solid platforming as well nothing to really complain about there. sometimes when I am fighting, kuro goes outside the boundaries, but wasn't a issue as she would teleport back to the stage after a bit and got back to the fight. Lots of h-scenes that are very well animated as well, a good amount of variety as a whole as well as visual novel scenes too! this game has lots of love built into and it shows really looking forward the next game the developer makes.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tDark Hunter Kuro is a solid beat-em-up / platformer with fantastic sprite art / art in general (aside from the boring background tile sets). H-scenes do not disappoint especially if you are into well endowed heroines. Only disappointed there is not enough of them!!
The downside is to the game is the performance. Played half on PC and half on Steam Deck and it was stutter central on the latter. While it performed better on PC, it didn't feel smooth at all. I was still able to parry and perfect dodge but it was lacking overall.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
