\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI can only speak for Career Mode as I don't play the brainrotted ping-pong game-mode that is Ultimate Team, but I have to say that the gameplay on Authentic does feel the best it ever has. Players slide and slip, the CPU tackles, makes fouls, pulls your shirt, takes you down and it generally has a better overall footballing feel to it than most other EA FCs. The transfers and contracts are incredible and a massive upgrade.
With that said: How on Earth can you charge upwards of 100 bucks for a game that is THIS filled with bugs? For starters it wouldn't let us launch the game unless you uninstalled just about every other anti-cheat on your PC. There's audio bugs, visual bugs, and so on... There are bugs that have existed for years (blue eyebrows I'm looking at you) that you still haven't fixed, lmao.
BUT! The biggest monstrosity? The UI. What the f*ck is this Ultimate Team inspired UI? It takes away any immersion you might have had. This game is all about spamming through balls down the wing and spamming left stick movement in erratic ways until you bait an opponent into missing a tackle, then you get your shot off. EA want to make a game that is end-to-end with basketball score lines to keep the TikTok generation engaged, not a realistic football simulator. You could be defending with 99% accuracy but will get punished for 1% you didn't do properly like not switching to your defender within milliseconds inside your own box. Now imagine defending at 90% accuracy?

Most matches, even those of pros and streamers we can see that it is a goal fest. There's no longer tiki taka, possession, proper football games like 2 - 0, 1 - 1, 3 - 2 Full Time (Not Haram Ball). It's about who is outscoring who. Half time 5 - 6 goals has already been scored between the 2 players.
Your Goalkeepers are brain dead. If you do a near post shot with the correct power, it's 90% guaranteed to be a goal. I won a game 6 - 5 and all 5 of my opponent's goals were near post shots with 3-4 of mine also near post. In one game 8 - 9 near post goals have been scored. It's so repetitive and killed the beauty of the FIFA I knew.
If you made defending more manual which increases margins for human error, you should have at least made keepers harder to beat. My Mike Maignan with 92 Reflex will eat 5 shots out of 5 near post. One of which was from a 2 star weak foot Mbeumo.
They nerfed through passes as well. So, if you have good vision in football, you will have to change your playing and passing style cause normal and through passes are mid this year. Most effective passes are driven ones it seems.
At the end of the day it is a game. If you do exactly what the code behind it permits, you will get the same outcome everytime. I am not even happy after a win because I feel like I just pushed the right buttons rather than played a football game. Player Switching is also questionable.
I don't see where the skill gap is if all your opponent does for 90 minutes is the same thing every game like running down the wing to find a low driven pass finish in your net or be a fidget spinner inside your box.

This game is no longer a football game.
Gameplay somewhat feels and look the same as FC 26, but this is the least of my concerns.
Yes, the manual defending added a skill gap but when your opponents bumps directly into a player of yours that you are not controlling, the minimum you expect is that your opponent lose momentum or possession of the ball.

I played FC 24. It was bad.
I played FC 25. Somehow, still bad.
FC 26 came along and I thought, okay... surely this is the limit.
Then EA released FC 27.
I have to give them credit. It takes real talent to make the same football game every year and somehow find new ways to make it feel worse 😂
The gameplay feels heavy, defending is a mess, attacking sometimes feels completely random, and the delay online is just ridiculous. You press a button and your player reacts like he's waiting for permission from EA's headquarters first.
And the servers... oh, the servers.
Sometimes I'm not even sure if I'm playing against my opponent or against EA's connection. You know that beautiful moment when you press pass, nothing happens, you press it again, and two seconds later your player suddenly remembers he has a job? Yeah. FC 27.
But here's my favorite part: you can escape online and play offline... and EA still finds you.
Career mode? Offline matches? Doesn't matter. That same weird gameplay, clunky movement and classic EA feeling is still there waiting for you. 😂
FC 24 was a warning.
FC 25 was confirmation.
FC 26 was preparation.
FC 27 is the coronation. 👑
EA has finally taken the crown. I genuinely don't know another company that can have this much experience making football games and still surprise me every year with a completely new way to annoy me.
At this point I'm not even asking FC 28 to be good.
I'm just curious to see how they're going to make me miss FC 27. 😂

I’ll be honest right away: I’ve been a long-time PES fan and still consider it the best and most proper football simulator. Now, to the point…
You know, after playing the last three games I thought the gameplay was awful — players sliding around like they were on ice, terrible responsiveness. I take my words back. FC 27 causes me physical pain.
Let’s start with the positives:
1. Defending really did get better — that’s undeniable.
2. The soundtrack is actually good. Less of that terrible electronic crap, and that’s great.
That’s where the positives end for me.
I fell for the advertising and, completely out of character, bought this piece of… scripted garbage. Yeah, I’m an idiot. I know it and I’m not arguing. I just really wanted to try the new The Ground mode. Well, I tried it. I wish I hadn’t. This mode should have been called “Train Station” or “Bus Terminal.” You can sit there for 15 MINUTES waiting for even a half-decent lobby to fill up (and I’m not even talking about Rush — people barely play it now because the queues never fill). Most of the time it’s 2v2 or, less often, 3v3. What stopped them from keeping the open world but leaving the old matchmaking? Only EA knows. My favourite Clubs mode has been completely destroyed and turned into a simulator of waiting for a miracle.
Moving on…
I’ve never really played Ultimate Team or Manager Career, but this year I somehow felt like trying. Well, I didn’t even start UT. In Manager Career I forced myself through 3 matches and scored a grand total of 1 goal… on World Class difficulty. The gameplay has become simply unplayable. I’m not saying I’m some pro, but in previous games on the same difficulty I was casually winning every trophy. Here I just don’t understand what the game wants from me. Passes, shots, runs — everything feels completely random. You’re not playing — you’re trying to control the chaos the game is throwing at you.
By the way, I also noticed that substitutions now have zero impact. My freshly subbed-on player gets outrun by a guy who’s already played 75 minutes. It feels like every single player in the match is tied to the same internal timer and even the substitutes get tired along with the ones on the pitch. I have no other explanation.
And after this “improved” gameplay, I couldn’t care less about transfers or anything else. The gameplay knocked me out cold and I’m not getting up.
And the servers? Have you seen this?? Every second match is a disconnect because of an “unexpected error.”
And the bugs? Have you seen this?? You go into a menu and can’t get out because it disables your stick and the A and B buttons, and the only solution is ALT+F4. Now that’s what I call a new entry in the series.
So yeah… now I’m going to go taste some more ♥♥♥♥ and stand in The Ground queue for 20 minutes just to play my favourite Rush once. But I still won’t get a game because the server will crash again.
Why do I keep playing this then? Because I’m an idiot. Don’t be like me. Do not buy this under any circumstances. I’m begging you. I’m serious.

From a single player standpoint I do not have much experience so far as I play online for the most part. The gameplay experience especially online is all around pretty poor. Usually I hover around division 1 in rivals and used to average about 15/20 wins on a FUT champs weekend . This version of FIFA feels so much worse than previous versions. There is often a mechanic that is somewhat strong in these games such as drag backs and trivela's etcetera but this FIFA defending feels wholeheartedly uninteractive. You will make standing tackles on players and be unable to win the ball despite having the Bruiser and Anticipate playstyles and your players will commit to tackles and be unresponsive for a second or two thereafter. Meanwhile your opponent will generally be abusing the mechanic of spinning in circles with the ball until an obvious passing lane opens due to the AI being rather nonexistent even when operating via manual controls. The current meta of abusing low driven shots anywhere within 20 yards into the bottom corners with minimal goalkeeper interference is also rampant. Pretty repetitive and uninteractive gameplay loop, especially online where individuals will only operate this way in an effort to win at all costs.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
