I am frankly disgusted that I spent this long playing the game without realizing it, but the story only really ramps up a few hours in. Ai actively feeds off real writers work, scrambles it, and throws it back out. It is a disgrace to the whole of the artistic community, especially when this game relies so much on dialogue. Every character sounds the same, the player has no flavor or personality, and everyone is constantly finishing each others' sentences. Every post you make on public social media almost certainly gets scraped by ai bots like the one that probably wrote for this game.
Do not make the mistake that I did. This is truly disgraceful to the art community, and is so disingenuous, especially for an indie game. I prefer real games. written by real people, MADE BY MAN. They didn't even tag it to show that it was made partially by ai.

There's also no way to keep track of your wine and beer inventory in the game? Why?

now......... if you're here for like, super well-written characters, i'm afraid you'll have to look elsewhere because. oh my god. it's like ... they're all the same person speaking in turns? speech patterns are the same, they carry the same 'i know' energy no matter who is talking. like, can they read each others mind? i genuinely couldn't tell you who's talking. it's also a little weird that they don't have custom phrases when they receive their drink.

I had maybe 10 mins of gameplay before I realized that the dialogue was extremely AI-coded. I went to read other reviews and lo and behold others can tell as well. I'm extremely disappointed and the fact that I could tell 10 mins in tells you how bad it is. Which is a shame because as others have said, the art is beautiful. + Need more interaction between player and customers ( add dating features or a route of being close friends)
+ The bartending part is too simple, could add more challenging perspective ( idk why we have to add ice if it doesnt matter lol). Also, why give a calculator when players barely use it ;))).
+ Hard mode isnt challening, almost no replayability.
- Music: 8.5/10 I love the piano and jazz music so keep up the good work!
- Artstyle: 9/10 Very well made, no complains here.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI'll lead by saying overall, yes, the game is fun, I enjoy it, and I plan to continue playing. If the idea of making drinks and running a bar (a very simplified version) sounds fun, then yes, pick this up. But, the game does have a lot of weak points which I'd like to address.
-The dialogue. You can ignore it, pretty much, thankfully, because it really isn't good. A lot of it was clearly written, or perhaps translated, with AI. "Load-bearing", "quietly", the whole structure of the dialogue feels like AI to me. The characters also feel the same, literally just the same person wearing different costumes. The game also rushes their development, you meet some of these characters literally twice before they launch into telling you about their life story, which is pretty much the same story, just with a couple nouns switched around.
-The drink making itself. It's decently fun, though I do think the game's focus on "we don't want to pressure players" does hurt it, it never feels like there's stakes. You can literally serve drinks that are entirely alcohol or entirely mixer and customers don't care either way.

They are very uneccessary and slop written to imitate Coffee Talk but without the soul and depth. It clearly feels like a secondary factor to the base game, therefore I just skip through it as it makes no difference. It doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the basic gameplay.

I know it's early to ask anything more of it right now, but in the future I hope it will add options to mix drinks as a freeplay option without any order, and perhaps romance features, maybe more cocktails or the option to have the phone open as reference when you want to make a cocktail for those "surprise me" orders.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Even in hard mode there's not really any challenge as the customer's patience seems to last just as long as the tip window, so if you switch from casual to hard mode you're already used to making drinks at the required speed and the change is barely noticeable.
The art in the game is probably the highlight. Character designs are fun and mostly distinct enough from each other, and the ingredients, backgrounds and cocktails are all nicely designed as well. The character's social media posts also feature illustrations often, which I thought was nice. The phone in general is a nice feature and i enjoyed the inclusion of the little minigames, though I do wish there was a way to check our highscores in them
Unfortunately, the writing in this game might be my biggest problem with it. Every interaction is trying to hard to be deep that it circles back to being hollow, and all of the attempts at emotional moments fall flat. And a lot of characters have the same personality and lack a unique voice. Most of their personalities come from their designs rather than the way they speak. I also don't really get the friendship system. I didn't know there even was one until I got a steam achievement saying I'd hit max friendship with a character. There are other milestones that suggest how far you've progressed in your friendship with a character, but when there's so many characters it's hard to keep track of all this.
I also don't like how the main character is written. In my opinion they don't work as a self insert when so many other characters try to deeply psychoanalyse them and end up saying things about them that a good amount of players won't relate to. I'd rather the game just committed to making them their own character with their own name and design rather than having this confusing character who's both too vague to be interesting and too specific to be relatable to all or even most players.
Overall, despite my criticisms, I did like this game. I got a decent amount of hours of enjoyment out of it for the price and will probably still play for another couple of hours. I just think it has a lot of untapped potential and the writing could be greatly improved.

And a lot of characters have the same personality and lack a unique voice. Most of their personalities come from their designs rather than the way they speak. I also don't really get the friendship system. I didn't know there even was one until I got a steam achievement saying I'd hit max friendship with a character. There are other milestones that suggest how far you've progressed in your friendship with a character, but when there's so many characters it's hard to keep track of all this.
I also don't like how the main character is written. In my opinion they don't work as a self insert when so many other characters try to deeply psychoanalyse them and end up saying things about them that a good amount of players won't relate to. I'd rather the game just committed to making them their own character with their own name and design rather than having this confusing character who's both too vague to be interesting and too specific to be relatable to all or even most players.
Overall, despite my criticisms, I did like this game. I got a decent amount of hours of enjoyment out of it for the price and will probably still play for another couple of hours. I just think it has a lot of untapped potential and the writing could be greatly improved.
