At every turn, the developers were hands on and intently listened to feedback. In doing so they have crafted a world that recreates the same magic that exists in the TES franchise. Every time I play the game, I discover new locations and more secrets to uncover. The gameplay is punchy and satisfying with the game providing the player with numerous ways to play the game.

I found it hard to remember details of quests that the quest log doesn't give after conversations which made it hard to do things. I also got lost alot, it is not the best at navigation help. Found it mostly engaging, but I didn't have the fascination I had with Morrwond, so it feels slow.
Overall worth playing if Morrowind didn't upset you as it has similar flaws that it had. Enjoying it even with the problems stated so I gave it a thumbs up.

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tThis game does a lot of things right and is on track to be amazing once its out of early access and I look forward to the day where I can talk just about all the great stuff in here but I'm seeing a lot of reviews already that discuss those so I'm just going to highlight a handful of problems I found with the game instead for now.
For the record, I liked the time I spent in here so far especially some of the more unique items that the boots of sprinting that had a meaningful impact on the game - I just don't think its worth £17.75.
There were a handful of issues with the co-op in the game (since I played there has already been 2 hotfixes so this could be a lot better already). All of the merchants that I spoke too had nothing at all to sell and there was a lot of desync between the host and other players, causing npcs to show up on their screens in the wrong locations and in some cases could cause fatalities.
The Alchemy systems looks like it's going to be quite cool and in depth but right now the game lets you consume any ingredients regardless of what they might be which ultimately allows you to eat things such as an entire Bronze Ingot.
A lot of the collisions in the game feel either a bit or very wrong like perhaps they were automated in engine or something. I often found myself jumping for a ledge on a cliff only to find myself sliding through it and seeing the underside of the map. Some textures stretch where I don't think they should and there are a handful of 3D models in the game which looks way more high poly than then rest (The earliest example being a candlestick in one of the houses at the start of the game). In my playthrough I played as a Thrahk (a large lizard person) and I thought they were super cool but not all of the armors in the game seem to be made for their body type causing some items like the hooded helms to just make me look like I grew a head of hair instead!
There doesn't seem to be anything stopping you from just swimming as far as you'd like. This is cool and I decided to swim out to a nice looking island to the west of the map I recall. The island had something on it but as I got a bit closer I stopped swimming and fell to the ocean floor instead which was disappointing.
The game is very open ended and doesn't give much in ways of direction to the player, I love this and it's one of the things that makes the game feel a bit more like a scrolls like for sure. Sadly, however, there are a lot of places on the map where there just isn't much to see especially in the very large forest area where much of the forest is samey. Some of the enemies are amazing like the frog guys but then others are terrible like the slimes. There is also a bit of an issue early in the game where I cant engage some enemies in melee combat since they just run away faster than I can catch them only for me to then run out of stamina and become unable to block which feels rough. This problem does mostly solve itself with higher levels but it isn't nice at all early on. I had this issue a lot with the mushroom guys in the large open beach cave area.
Finally one more thing that not everyone cares about but I know many do especially in this community. There is a youtube account called Holyfool who exclusively posted AI generated content and sold shirts on their storefront. This account no longer exists on other platforms and the storefront has also since been taken down. The Holy Fool is the name of another game these devs are making and while I have no reason to suspect they do use Gen AI for everything here I do think there's a good chance this game was funded by Gen AI from this channel. A couple of assets in this game are also from the channel like "Ruggul" the moon you can see in the sky and are likely Generated rather than made.
There is however a lot of evidence to suggest the concept material on NerveLabs' other game "The Holy Fool" uses generative AI and while I'm certain parts of this game are human-made like the 3d assets and voice acting, I just cant trust the whole thing and I think its important to do your own research before buying if you don't like that kind of stuff either. For such a small team as well it's really odd to see three games on their store with very little information on them and one of them using AI. I can't present any of this as guaranteed fact and you should really do your own research here before letting it inform your purchase.

The core of the game is fantastic and you can tell it's made with a lot of love. The world feels deep but the mechanics and bugs just hold it back from being playable for $20 right now.
For the devs:
Your magic swords are so cool, I love the firesword and how it catches half your body aflame. Don't change that, but both the fire sword and lightning sword make it impossible to see in first person with all the effects going on. The steel sword does not appear or swing in first person either.
Combat feels so random as to when my character is going to actually swing. Aiming is a little jank, but the blocking is great.
Exploration is fun, its just hard to see anything at all unless its broad daylight. (I also never found a torch, that's on me I guess?)
If you love a janky underbaked Elder Scrolls, this game is for you. I think this is a great baseline, but hard to justify $20 even though its Day One of Early Access.

Edit: Please see dev response about updating drivers to avoid crashes, works a treat for that issue. Unfortunately that just allowed me to get slightly deeper into the game and run into more bugs, one where I had to alt-f4 to continue playing. I would still wait for a patch before giving this a go. Props to the devs on trying to help, I am certain they will get there with this.

I feel like the developer understands what is so appealing about Morrowind, without outright copying it one to one, and I think they'll deliver more on future updates. Absolutely hilarious with friends, My friend keeps getting killed/attacked by the the friendly npc's when he joins and his pain brings me joy! I love the camera angles on the npc's and their quirky lines and voices. The bugs are perfect, it just works! See that mountain? You can climb it! It truly has 16 times the detail that was promised also love how the developer really made their most ambitious project yet!
If you get stuck trying to open trade with npc's try tabbing out and back in or waiting like 2 minutes worked for us. Whenever we froze a bit opening console unfroze us.
