In a way, it reminds me of Zero Time Dilemma, much shorter and simpler, yet similar in that you navigate 3D environments and piece together a disjointed plot. This is where a problem arises: the gameplay actually does the game a disservice. The story unfolds through brief memory sequences where the identities of the people involved, and even their names, are withheld. This creates confusion and dilutes the emotional impact. The characters feel hollow; there is no voice acting, and the dialogue is simplistic. No one really displays emotions; everything feels robotic. Because there is no real connection to the characters, learning about their pasts doesn't quite achieve the intended effect.
Another point is that the narrative could have been better developed. Don't get me wrong, the story itself is beautiful, but the execution is lacking. Even with the internet, we have never been so close to one another, yet simultaneously so distant. Everyone lives in their own world; no one seeks to understand the other; everyone is deeply selfish. This game explores shared memories as a way of constructing the "self." Yet, even with access to others' memories, we can never fully understand them, or even ourselves. In a reality where distances are vast yet negligible, and time loses all meaning, every encounter becomes unique; in a world where space travel has become commonplace, humanity has drifted even further from itself.
It is a truly sad thing, for worse than dying is being forgotten.

No sentido que você tem cenários em 3d e precisa tentar entender o plot de forma desconexa. Aqui temos um problema, o gameplay faz um certo desfavor ao jogo. A história é contada é contada por meio de pequenas passagens, na forma de memórias, onde você não sabe de quem a memória é e nem aparece o nome das pessoas, isso faz com que tudo fique confuso a ponto de não ficar muito impactante. Os personagens são muito vazios, não há vozes e suas falas são simples, nenhum personagem realmente demonstra alguma emoção nesse jogo, tudo é muito robótico. Estando completamente desconexo dos personagens, aprender o passado de cada um não surte completamente o efeito é desejado.

E como numa realidade onde as distâncias são tão grandes e tão curtas ao mesmo tempo, onde o tempo perde todo o seu valor, cada encontro se torna único, um mundo onde viagens espaciais se tornaram algo normal, a humanidade se distanciou ainda mais de si.

But I much prefer how it was done in Platonica Space for some reason. Matching the items with the correct memories could be a bit of busywork at times but piecing everything together was so satisfying. And the visuals in general are on point, particularly the "unknown space"; even if the characters look a little creepy when their eyes start moving lol.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

You find one of these memory spots, get a broken fragment of something that happened, and then have to figure out what item belongs there to fill in the rest. The interesting part is that the memory might not even be yours. You might watch someone get shot and then realize you don't actually know if you were the one holding the gun. The fake ID and stowaway memories work the same way. You're constantly trying to separate "this happened" from "this happened to me," and honestly, that was enough to keep me interested all the way through.
This game has this weird way of making completely normal rooms feel sad or important just because of what happened there. Everything looks pretty cozy and harmless, while the memories you're piecing together keep getting darker.
I actually liked the consciousness system too. Every action uses some of it, and when you run out, you pass out, wake up somewhere else, and lose whatever items you had. I can see why people don't like it, but without it you'd basically just search every room and click everything until you solved the memories. Having to decide what you're going to do before you run out makes the exploration a lot more interesting. Maybe a more appropriate punishment would help, though. The rooms changing when you wake up also makes perfect sense for a game that's basically built around broken memories.

There were some launch problems, but the developer was quick about fixing them. 1.0.2 cleaned up some of the text and fixed the mouse camera, which is especially important here since so much of the story depends on small details.
