However, I never bothered doing repairs on older gen phones IRL and tried avoiding them as much as possible in the game. Like some natural avoid them like the plague.
Hoping there's a future version that comes with consoles up to at least the mid 2010's. I really love fixing DSI XL/LL.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI saw this game sitting there with "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews. The theme is exactly my cup of tea: 2000s Japan, repairing retro gadgets. So I bought it, played it, and was utterly disappointed. This review is for those of you who actually check the negative reviews to get a reality check before buying.
Look, mechanically, the game is fine. Tearing down and fixing electronics is straightforward and convenient enough. The variety of tech isn't terribly small either. But here is where we get to the massive glaring issue: the game is dragged out way beyond its welcome.
The core gameplay gets agonizingly boring so fast because there are virtually zero difficulty modifiers. Even the supposedly different devices start feeling exactly the same. Would it have killed them to add different colors or some personal touches from the "owners" to give them some individuality? That alone would have made the grind more bearable.
You know what else could have saved this tedious gameplay? A decent story and proper social integration. Instead, we get a plot that I refuse to even call "fanfic-tier", because frankly, I’ve read fanfics that are actually good. This is just utterly bland, unoriginal text. Oh, and the game features "dialogue choices", but most of the time you are literally staring at a single option in the box. Why even pretend?
There is zero meaningful integration. You can't go on dates, you can't go to karaoke. Honestly, the boring gameplay wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb if there were actual good characters, relationships, and a story to care about. Fixing stuff could have been a nice downtime while anticipating the next story event. Instead, it’s just a slog. Oh, and there is absolutely no daily life simulation either.
On top of that, a lot of negative reviews are currently pointing out that the developers heavily used AI and conveniently "forgot" to disclose it. That certainly doesn't earn them any points in my book.
And honestly, I don't know whether a human or an AI came up with the overall character design, but I absolutely dislike it. It’s not anime style, but it’s not an attempt at realistic Japanese features either. It looks like a cheap Western cartoon. It’s a bizarre art direction\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

this game presents itself as a "chill" repair game, but has a fast moving day/night cycle that artificially creates pressure to fix things faster. you have to make sure you check the pc regularly to buy good things and time your day-ends to get better refreshes in the market. i felt a significant dissonance from rushing through orders while listening to mid lofi beats from 2020.
if they scrapped the story part and added more to the repair aspect this would be a gem, but ultimately my experience was severely undermined by having to interact with the world the developers made.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tPlayed for a while, hit the repitition part where the difficulty curve seemed to be more parts to stick back on, i kept getting cleaning jobs, i also realised at this point that the main banner has a generated part in it (the girl) and it immediately switched me off the game entiely, you guys need to have the ai flag on your game because i feel robbed, the game would've been okay otherwise.
Edit: Soooo? i did some digging and you guys outsourced to a person who generated and edited images that you guys knew about and put into the game anyway, so no, not 100% made by human artists, unless you count a pollution machine as a human.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

About 2 / 3 weeks ago I found out that they use genAI and didn't disclose it (please research this cause the devs hiding it, fully known they were adding it into their game and trying to put it down to "out sourcing an artist" is wild to me). I was pissed, tried to get a refund and couldn't because I was a week over the 2 weeks alotted time.
So, I have decided to at least get my money's worth because I don't just have excess money to throw down the drain. Seriously disappointed and frustrated with the lack of genAI disclosure and will not be buying from these devs again.

Not only this, but they've pushed back their update 3 times now, with the last update being over a MONTH ago. Doesn't seem like the devs are too interested and pushing something back that utilizes AI is ridiculous. You're cutting corners and still need to delay three times? Honestly super fun, easy time sink and zone out game! Competitions are a great way to work on your memory and improve your skills! But the scaling and the times where you need to grind email orders to make enough money for main story progression are a slog. I could not care less about the characters or the story. And of course, a lot of the 2D art appears to be genAI which is not disclosed on the store page. The developers have posted supposed sketches to prove that it isn't AI but those sketches I believe are also genAI. I enjoyed my time with this game due to the gameplay loop but it's not something I would recommend to anyone else. Lastly, the 365 day achievement is ass.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

This is the perfect mix of cozy vibes, satisfying repairs, and the dangerous phrase “just one more job / day.” The gameplay is relaxing, the atmosphere is comfy, and somehow fixing imaginary electronics is more therapeutic than fixing my actual life.

Sure I can fix this by saving and reloading. But this is something I have to do multiple times as I play. Some other changes such as better organization for spare parts are needed, or even buying parts. Other than that it is a very relaxing fun game. The characters are all charming and I even saw some easter egg references around! My only complaint is that I wish we had random NPCs, maybe people that would be email orders appearing at the shop in the post game or something. The fundamental gameplay loop is very fun, taking apart electronics, figuring out whats wrong with them, fixing the issues and putting them back together is very satisfying. The sense of progression feels nice, but ultimately boils down to buying better tools to make everything happen a bit faster.
There is a story, although I did not much care for it. The characters are cute and play into their stereotypes well, there is even some character development for a few of them. But I cannot immerse myself in the story well enough to care for a repeat playthrough to experience the branching story and effecs of dialogue choices. Your mileage may vary. Completion of the game takes approximately 10-15 hours, depending if you beeline the story missions or take a more laid-back approach.
Buying broken electronics for cheap, only to find out there's a bit of dust on the circuit board and selling it for a large profit is quite fun, and so is finding out the next device is better off being scrapped for parts, as ordering 70% of the device in replacement parts would leave profit margins slim. That being said, the gameplay loop does become repetitive quite quickly, as there's only very little variation in terms of what can be wrong with a certain device.
The largest setback for this game in my book is simply a lack of variety. Repairs become monotonous, you know exactly what to expect from each device. Money is no longer a concern as you (supposedly) grow into one of Tokyo's most famous electronics repair shops, and yet nothing changes. You can extensively decorate devices with stickers and paintjobs, but this is only cosmetic: customers do not care and you cannot sell these speciality devices for more money, or (for example) part of a bundle.
For the price (especially full price) you pay for this game, I find it lacking in features and length and I'm really hoping the developers are planning on substantially expanding upon the fun base game mechanics. But it's perfectly enjoyable as is.
