I picked it up when the Doctor was released and became pretty addicted at first, but eventually, I stopped playing because, honestly, I just wasn't very good. I struggled with looping and 360s, trying to be like No0b3, but I was young and didn’t really get the hang of it. I ended up finding other games that I enjoyed more.
Recently, I reinstalled it and started playing again. I’ve been loving the new features and updates, but it’s tough to shake off my old habits since so much has changed with survivors and killers. Still, I’m getting better at looping killers, navigating the maps, and keeping track of where everything is, like pallets and windows. I’m starting to get the hang of it, and while I still get downed sometimes, I feel way more confident now.
If you’re struggling with the game, don’t give up! Just take the time to learn the mechanics and how the maps work. There’s a lot to learn since things are a bit more complicated now, but I think it’s definitely worth it. Plus, if you buy it, you can return it within two hours or within two weeks of getting it.

Highly recommend playing this game post-breakup. Personally, I started playing after my ex and I broke up in 2024, and it provided a beautiful distraction from the crushing realization that I had free time again.
Even better: achievement hunting. Why process your emotions when you can spend six hours trying to get one extremely specific achievement that requires you to perform a ritual under a full moon while three survivors simultaneously make terrible decisions?

I hate it. I love it. I mentally uninstall it at least three times per match and then immediately queue again like I’ve learned absolutely nothing. Can I loop? Absolutely bloody not. I run confidently toward a pallet, misjudge the distance, get slapped in the back, panic drop it from the wrong side and somehow still convince myself the killer is the problem. Every match starts with “I’m getting better at this.” followed by death in 47 seconds. Sometimes I escape and suddenly I’m convinced I’m a tactical genius who has mastered the Fog. Next match I’m downed in 12 seconds because I tried to mind game a tree. Then I get tunnelled into another dimension, swear this game is awful, declare I’m never playing again…and 30 seconds later I’m sitting in the lobby like a Victorian woman returning to sea for the husband who ruined her life, with a fog vial dangling by her side.
It’s not entertainment.
It’s emotional damage but with bloodpoints.

Oh i genuinely mean it when i say this is the world's worst dev team. There are literal bugs from year 1 still in the game. I think the worst part of this game is the formula they use that allows the dev team to be ♥♥♥♥ and the community to be toxic. The formula mind you is PUSH PUSH PUSH new content to make that next buck. not fix the game or take time to properly place balance changes that benefit both killer and survivor but instead gear towards casual players who may play once a month not people who live and breathe the game. I can understand wanting new players but if you're trading them for people who have been here since year one that's a good way to lose a player base. But that's assuming the community doesn't get to you first. Made up rule this, made up rule that. you weren't suppose to do this, you weren't suppose to do that. 'well actually your bad at this character because you didn't play like someone i beat a couple matches ago.' The game itself also gets repetitive and while is fun for some time, at some point it gets to be boring and you expect most things that come your way. I play video games to escape reality, not to deal with social politics and stare reality in the face. Censorship in 18+ games is something that will never not bother me, and it only exists due to adults having the emotional intelligence and the personality of a middle schooler. Having a block and mute button nowadays seems redundant. I mostly tried survivor, but I can assure you this game has no respect for its killers due to an enormous lack of balance. A lot of the original killer designs are subpar, and some of the animations just look stiff or outright unfinished, which is insane due to how much BHVR seems to profit from this game. Its only redeeming quality is all the pop culture included due to the licensed IPs.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
