Arc Systems have made an amazing love letter to Marvel comics in how they treat these characters, and it is an interesting take on a team fighters. the game has been destroyed for me by the DRM as you can see on my specs I shouldn't be having frame issues, but I am. unstable framerates are terrible on a fighter. ontop of that the whole playstation account requirement just generally pisses me off. which wasn't on the steam page when preorders were up (when I bought it) the pirated version of the game has no frame issues so this is purely a drm problem. sony turned gold into copper with this\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

It's probably for that reason that you'll be waiting thew better part of 5 minutes to find a match even though the game only came out like a week ago. Nobody wants this.
What I've played is fun, especially as someone who doesn't like fighting games but its not worth the PSN hassle imo.

It is pretty fun, and I guess if you don't gaf about the PSN thing then you'll likely have a very different impression than me, but I'd still say full retail is a steep price for this. Terrible experience getting this game to run correctly for my friends, and myself outside of my overpowered desktop computer. Sony really screwed this up by forcing DRM that was cracked instantly, and has created probably one of the most-pirated new fgs I've seen since Dreamcast. The fact the game would work fine on most systems if it wasn't for Sony bloating the game with their anti-cheat (which doesn't even work btw) is genuinely laughable. If you want to get into a tag fighter, this is the game to do it. If you want to learn how to OKI, how to layer assists into mixups, how to get good at fighting games, this is the best way to do it. The problem therein is the fact the game (Whether intentional or not) was released with a known DRM that causes intentional performance problems to push people into a console.
We just saw how 2XKO died and I fear that Tokkon is on the same path. we know ARCSYSWORKS can hold a steady fanbase over a literal decade with Dragon Ball Fighters Z. The problem is that this game while developed by them is the fact SONY is in charge of this parade.
A singular company time and time again has proven with their removal of steam ports of their console games that they do not have our best interest at heart. The sad thing is that this game can have every opportunity to be as successful with good support but it won't.
If the game doesn't get better I cannot see anyone on PC getting a game in comp outside of specific discords. Just like For Honor, just like Guilty Gear Strive, just like {Insert game here}. It's sad.
