I don't know, but this sure seems like an accurate simulation of old cars having worked on a few in real life. Yes $22 is a bit high but also they clearly state its in alpha so nothing really to complain about too much there so long as they dont make updates into paid dlcs. Next i wanna talk about the actual state of the game. So far ive really enjoyed my time playing it yes the maps really empty (for now) but to me thats kinda ok gives me extra roads to test my vehicles on without too much to worry about and dont waste time or money at the tracks. I also like the fact that the game is both parts bountiful while not being a full on mechanic sim with a million bolts and extra ♥♥♥♥ like that. The cars drive well enough for the amount of time played and progress made. But to me the most important and best thing about the game is the responsiveness and amount of care from the devs. I had found a minor bug made a discussion and within 30 mins to an hour had multiple responses from the dev helping me and looking at the discussions im not the only person with this kinda results. Makes me really excited to see where this game goes keep up the good work guys\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Obviously I'm old if I'm referencing a fairly niche automotive game from the late 80s, which probably drastically reduces my opinion to most readers here, but I say keep going. The tuning options, the detail accuracy for parts and vehicle design, the wear characteristics that degrade the vehicle are top tier. Excited to see this keep growing, and some upgraded sound files. Pretty fun racing game with simple/advance mechanic work.

The modification and parts system is pretty good on the engine and suspension aspect but is limited when it comes to body modifications which is understandable. I enjoy the ignition timing and running platform tuning, but i wish i could use different fuels like premium or AV gas or hell, diesel for variety.
The repairing cars aspect of the game loop is too slow, you barely make any money. To me it feels like you have to follow a strict order of interior, engine and suspension followed with bodywork. Maybe repairing the lights have an outsized effect but i don't know. More data available in game would be appreciated.
This game has extreme potential in my eyes, it feels like a genuine attempt to recreate the feeling of building a fast car with a large amount of open ended tuning and engine, tire/wheel and suspension part selection. The feeling of blasting down the track with a high compression dual carbed 383 in a complete pile of ♥♥♥♥ truck and gapping that little pretty car with a stock I6 is unparalleled. However at the moment it is limited by a slow progression loop(money making), no difficulty options, a very flat and drab main town, a small vanity parts collection and not much to do besides drag racing and mail delivery.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tHonestly, what more can you say that this game is almost a perfect game for a car enthusiast. Early access, so you have to take some things with a grain of salt, but overall, pretty refined in its current state. So lets go over some pros, cons, and suggestions.
First the pros. The tuning aspect is absolutely wonderful. I thouroughly enjoy walking around with my screwdriver making adjustments on nearly everything. And when drag racing, actually seeing those changes take place. The buying of a hoopty, to fix it up and either keep it or sell it for more money. I love it! So much potential still left in this game! Im glued to it already.
Now, the cons. While Im almost positive the devs are likely working these already, I will still put it out there. The grind. Racing, you can rarely up the ante on the bets, so making money, can be super slow in racing. Especially when parts at cost in the beginning will take quite a few races to make changes. Flipping cars is the same way. Though a little faster than racing, still slow at first. It took me a few hours to double my money flipping cars, or well, C10 trucks, as all the other vehicles are out of reach in price. Sleep cycling the used car lot helps give new options, but I feel out of 4 or 5 days worth, only 1 or maybe 2 vehicles will pop up at the used car dealer, that you can use to make money. So the money grind is the biggest con at this point. Another con for me, was the ramp in race difficulty. Racing the $250 races in career, the last guy was cutting consistent 12.3's in the 1/4, and my C10, was only 12.8. And it took over an hour to get enough money for parts to pop me to a 12.1-12.3, so the win then wasnt garunteed. I like the challenge, but going from others running 15's in the $250 class to the 12.1, was kinda shocking to say the least! Last 2 cons, I promise. Variety. Early access, got it. But there are like 4 or 5 vehicles to choose from and 3 engines, 2 forced induction options, and only bottom end internals. I am almost certain they plan more, but I like to put that out there for review readers to know. Last con, the shop menu is a little confusing to find parts for transmissions and driveline. Transmissions are on the main screen, but axles, diffs and gears are in suspension, and a few others are like that. Just awkward, not fully bad.
Now for my ideas and suggestions. Again, love the game, would love to see bigger variety in parts, cars, etc. Turbos, higher fuel types, mechanical fuel pumps etc. Id love to see Alcohol or NitroMeth at some point, THAT would be sick. Id love to see some 6cyl and 4cyl builds in there too. Now my next suggestion would be for Multiplayer. There is the pvp multiplayer aspect, and we love that, but what about multiplayer team garages? I love the building and tuning, and most of my friends love racing, so why not have a co-op team option? Then there could be weekend tourneys and such, and I feel that would add about 10 more layers to the game! Last suggestion, loans and or sponsors. I think that would make the game a little deeper and I feel we all could enjoy that too.

The simulation is great. Parts have less responsiveness when worn. Aerodynamics come into play (sure, that 200+ lb. pickup bed being removed is less weight, but you'll get serious drag at high speeds. Even just a hood gone will shave off speed). The tuning feels good and there's a dyno graph that demonstrates the results immediately. Setups are realistic and believable. Crashing causing visible and effective damage. There's clearly a lot of love put into the detail of the systems, and it's great!

The in game economy is very unbalanced and not all that fun to grind. Similarly, I was hoping to purchase beat up junk, fix them up, and turn a profit. Well, you can sometimes. Other times you make virtually nothing or even lose money. And the delivery system to make money is rather lackluster too.
And I firmly believe the devs are working on smoothing out and improving on those issues. So my hesitation is get this if you really want a drag racing game (with some oval and road course attached) that lets you fix up old carbureted cars.
