\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI really want to like this game. It has a lot of charm, I keep coming back to it. But there's just so many things that feel unfinished:
- There is no sorting, my fridge is a mess of random fruits in no order with no way to group per type.
- Items in your inventory pop from space to space and you can't rearrange them.
- Biowaste from weeding flies off and becomes impossible to pick up. Sometimes it legit flies out the window.
- I can't remove all of the starting furniture, or even store it somewhere else to make room in my apartment.
- The skills take forever to level and some don't even explain how to progress them.
And the economy is indeed very punishing. I did some math and for one early recipe, I actually LOST money if I cooked it and sold it at the shop, even with trying to raise the price as much as possible. It would be better to just sell the individual fruits, and then I'd not have to deal with waiting for cooking.
Every quest feels like a multi week project only to unlock yet another multi week project. One example: I spent so long saving up for a drone, per a quest. Then was told I need to unlock a whole room to use it, starting ANOTHER quest. THEN I was told I still needed to build the done station itself, with yet another long quest. Each one took forever, only to reward me with the ability to have 6 or so plants watered sometimes automatically.
Just today, I also learned that your fridge seems to have a maximum storage space. I bought some tea, put it in the fridge, then saw it vanish and become inaccessible. So there goes 10 precious dollars, which in this game is sometimes days of work.
All in all, this game feels like an early access game still in progress. I think if a really solid QA pass (and a QoL pass) was done on this game, it would be great. But I am going to have to set it aside until then.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

- The starting plant, the strawberry, never seems to die even though other plants die. It produces money infinitely.
- Periods of daylight have hard transition points. In the game's advertisements, it shows the shadows moving across the sky in a continuous motion, however in the actual game this continuous motion doesn't exist
- The game has things like UI elements that indicate that one thing should happen but another thing happens. For example, the fridge shows a specific amount of inventory spaces, but you can just put more in it than it says.
- There doesn't really seem to be any mechanical reason to grow other plants
- The music in this game feels like AI-generated "chill beats to relax to"
- The game will tell you that your inventory is full when it isn't; almost like an AI agent doesn't actually know what it should feel like to play a game
- The shop mechanic shows things like price adjustment in a way that implies

I feel like the developers pushed out an unfinished product and expected early players to act as beta testers. Personally, when I buy a game I expect it to be playable but it looks like it won't be ready for a while. Things I noticed in terms of bugs:
1) The tab key does not get recognized by the game and you have to press it a couple of times for it to work.
2) Items disappeared from the inventory.
3) The cooking timer did not start and became frozen.
4) Water levels became frozen when plants were overwatered. This caused the plants to stop growing.
5) Quests took a while to "check off" after fulfilling requirements. This really made me question the code underneath, what is running in the background for this to take a while?
In terms of gameplay:
1) The cat is not interactable at all. The game sets the story up as if you will interact with it more (the story goes out of the way to make you go to the roof to pick up a cat from the roof, buy it a bed, just to then forget about its existence after that). The promotional material makes it seem like a bigger deal than it really is as well, which in the game is really none. I have a feeling that any features relating to keeping a cat got cut while in development because it seems like there should be something to do while you wait for the plants to grow but there isn't anything.
2) Related to that, it seems like many times there is nothing to do while the plants are growing. It takes a while to progress in the game and I haven't noticed sleeping having any dramatic effect on in game time.
3) Walking back and forth can become tedious. I actually really do not like having to order things on the tablet just to go collect it from the mailbox.

I really wanted to love this game but this has been the most stressful "cozy" gardening game I have ever played. You may experience joy, confusion, annoyance and frustration. Sometimes all at once. Don't worry, you're not alone. From slow game progression, an unbalanced economy, and the lack of clarity on game mechanics, to say the least.
Most of the answers for this game unfortunately remains in the Discord and not in the game. Descriptors have yet to be implemented in game. Leaving you to blindly purchase blueprints for planters you have no idea what crop grows in them until you've purchased and built the planter.
Game progression and game economy: The pace of the game feels more like a grind rather than cozy goodness. There is a difference between progression at your own pace, vs. slow game progression due to the mechanics of the game.
The game economy is unbalanced and you'll spend more time in the Koi pond located in the Atrium collecting coins which can range from $3 - $7 per coin. You can collect 7 coins total from the pond daily. You make very little profit in the game fulfilling orders or selling items in the market. Just to be hit with bills, yes bills, seeds that fluctuate in price with no in game reason as to why, and overpriced recipes than can range from $10 - $108.
Clubs: There are 5 clubs in the game that are equivalent to an XP progression bar. The issue is, they are copy/paste of each other, just named differently. Each are triggered by an event in the game to unlock. Once the club is unlocked, you have to level up that club to unlock more expensive recipes, blueprints and maybe the limited decor. Each of the clubs have a storefront with zero interactive items/areas other than the unanimated NPC waiting behind a counter for you to turn in an order and an unneeded kiosk with the same items you can access from your in game tablet. Cute stores but underwhelming.
Storyline: It's all over the place.
AI usage: I can't confirm there is AI usage, however, from cars that drive on the side walk (later fixed), to non animated NPCs with windmill looking arms and weird fingers all having the same stance (arms straight down, with one leg slightly forward almost in a pounce position), something is off. And then there's the bat birds (I've lovingly named) that never seem to rest no matter what time of the day it is. Always in the sky and have very little detail to them. The Cityscape looks like it's straight out of a basic AI model with windows that look pixelated instead of drawings or graphics being used. Again, I can't confirm AI usage but... I'll leave it there.
Oh, and the push back of the music not being AI in this game but rather by an established artist, JJ.OK. The cover art for one of the 2025 albums called City Garden Harvest also looks like it's AI generated. Not saying the artist has not used instruments on previous works but the album cover specifically for City Garden Harvest screams AI. Draw your own conclusion on that one.
Game Updates: There have been 11 updates since the game released on 9/7/26. 9 of the updates were within the first 10 days averaging one update per day. Considering the game is now on update #11 as of 09/27/26, it still has issues.

I think the non recommended reviews have been fair based on players experience. The game is aesthetically pleasing, the music is a vibe and you want to love the game. And some do. However, this is not a full game and needs work. It's hard to believe any QA was done on this game prior to release. The rooms are still dark, there are collision and mapping issues, one bug after the other even after the updates. It's like the purchasers of this game have been free QA testers submitting bug reports for the developer to celebrate in Discord the 1,300+ bugs that have been reported. Really?
In terms of the recommended reviews. Hmmm... some, not all, have a very interesting trend. But you may want to do your own research to make an informed decision prior to your purchase. I'll leave it there.

there are still a lot of bugs and underdeveloped mechanics, which wouldn't normally make me give up on a game, but after finding out the devs used AI placeholders i just dont want to support this anymore.
it feels really deceptive to have used AI and not disclose it on steam just because "you removed it after" as if that erases the harm.

It feels unfair to the devs to not recommend this game but I have to be honest that I cannot recommend this game YET but I did enjoy the first few hours of playing since the artstyle is my taste. I'm currently going to take a break from playing because I cannot tolerate the stutters this game makes when I am moving. About every 2-4 paces, I can feel that stutter/lag despite my pc being able to run AAA games on high/ultra setting smoothly. I already decreased my video setting and it still stutters. It makes my head hurt and eyes get tired easily.
However, I will say this game has a LOT of potential! like A LOT and the devs deserve the big W for always updating bringing back to back patches. I'll get back to this game maybe around 2-3 months after.

But the indicators and hints for quests are SO vague... Seriously lacking a lot of information for users to proceed.
I often get several quests all together but the order of doing them is very vague. However, some of the quests do connect to each other, so the order matters. There have also been several quests that I have no idea how to do it. "Bring certain flowers to rooftop during 9PM -11 PM", in reality, you need to find a drone on rooftop and give your flower. There's no further or detailed descriptions about quests and just leave users hanging. I just encountered another quests I have no idea what to do next, I unlocked all the pot blueprints I possibly could, nothing can grow hot pepper, and I have no idea how to make "variant hot pepper "(not sure if that's the right term because I played in Simplified Chinese), but when I'm stuck, it's discouraging, I don't think this game's goal was confuse people and make them feel defeated.
On top of vague quests, the textual information (or maybe Chinese translation) made my gaming experience felt confusing and frustrating. All the pots blueprint doesn't tell you what crops can grow in them, you just have to win it. Not a super huge deal, but when you are just starting and not making a lot of money, blueprints are expensive. Recipes' blueprint's name doesn't match the actual name of the dish....I don't get the meaning of have two different names and it has caused a lot of confusion.

If the devs can quickly take player feedback into account and improve the game accordingly,

However, there doesn't seem to be much communication or response to the feedback players have already posted, so I'm curious about what is actually being worked on. I can only hope that the devs are simply too busy fixing the various issues to respond to reviews and inquiries.
There are also quite a few minor bugs. After checking other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one experiencing them.
- When cooking in the kitchen, the timer frequently freezes completely. The dish will never finish cooking.
- Sometimes, when cooking several dishes in a row, ingredients aren't consumed at all.
- The Tab key occasionally stops working properly. I usually end up pressing it two or more times.
Some of the UI/UX decisions and balancing choices are honestly difficult to understand.
- The day/night cycle is extremely unnatural. It suddenly gets dark, then suddenly becomes bright again. Sometimes this happens repeatedly throughout the same day.
- Both the animation for getting into bed and getting out of bed look very stiff and unnatural. It feels like I'm watching a robot.
- In this game, apparently every kind of food—salads, tea, jam, and so on—is made by throwing it into a pot or frying pan and cooking it.
Honestly, this part is so simplistic that it almost feels like the developers just couldn't be bothered to make different cooking methods. Who on earth fries a salad ? ?????
These small simplifications add up, and instead of feeling like a cozy game, it starts to feel more like running a factory.
- You can't interact with the cat at all. Why?!???? Am I seriously supposed to just look at it?????????
- Surprisingly, I found the early-game quests and leveling to be the hardest part of the game.
The main quests shown in the top-left corner are absolute hell.
You're given only a few vague lines with barely any explanation and are basically told to figure everything out yourself. That's asking too much from a new player.
At the very least, if these NPCs are supposed to be your "friends," have them send you some cash, seeds, or even a flowerpot in the mail.
Even after 3 hours of playtime, I was still completely broke.
I couldn't afford seeds, and I couldn't even afford to make Plant pots.
I had to work absurdly hard just to complete quests and level up.
I really hope the devs fix these issues and make the game better,

How do you get the materials to set up the lab? No clue. How do you open your own shop? Your guess is as good as mine, and I wasted 2.9hrs in game. Also, it's misleading having the cat on the cover; you literally get the cat off the roof and never interact with it again. You can't even PET the cat. I have no idea how to switch songs, and the one playing wasn't helping. The Q menu isn't working for me, it's like my mouse needs to go to the other side of my desk to select something. And then back to empty hand is even harder.

As I progressed there had been many bugs and Issues in the game that ruined the experience for me. During my Progress through the game it became more and more obvious that the whole game as a project is a huge Vibe Coding mess. In the game itself there are enough signs of AI being used, it seems the update notes are not written without the help of AI either due to repeating notes concerning the same point as before? The new point shop decoration screams the use of AI as well, with the matching vines on strawberries and tomatos??? Every update seems to bring issues with other functions that had worked before - huge holes in the code? I don't think this game has been reviewed, tested and fully covered before release. It is dissappointing to me that it has not been disclosed by the devs beforehand on steam or even in their community, that this game clearly consists of vibe coding. Every Update is a letdown and so is the game the more you concern yourself with the Issues and the scam by not disclosing the AI usage.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

- The game economy despite it's fix, is still actually horrible.
- You don't get to relax: There is always something wrong with the plants. Without agri drones you are baby sitting your plants 24/7.
- Agri Drones don't do their jobs, half of the time even if you have them. It takes them HOURS ingame to get started on their tasks if they even do it at all.
- I am running a 5070 and game on ultra and the textures are... 'swimming(?)' and flickering.
- The orders come in very frequently, you have a very hard sense of urgency for most of the game.
- THERE ARE ORDERS YOU CAN'T REJECT. MOST OF THE TIMES FOR DISHES OR RESOURCES YOU DONT HAVE UNLOCKED YET EITHER.
In general there is a lot wrong with the game. It was never ready for release. I'd rather they'd have pushed back the release date a bit further and bit the bullet on a fast release. This game was promised to us as a cozy planting haven. Instead we are min maxing, running around like headless chickens and get headaches from the lack of explaining this game does.
I played Souls-likes with clearer progression and mechanic explanation than Tiny Eden. Will I continue to play iit? Yes. At least until they push another fix that is meant for only new saves. Also, a fair amount of the dialogue/emails feels very AI to me (cringe!!!!!!!!!) I really can't recommend it to anyone wanting a cozy experience bc it's not cozy, it's frustrating and annoying. The problem is that the developers do not respond and the listed email bounces back. So you can't get help. I got stuck on part of an initial quest where you purchase an item and are notified to pick it up. Only it wasn't delivered (although money deducted - in game, not real money) and then nothing ever went forward. I couldn't buy again, it never arrived. i got stuck. And six days later, no help, no response. There are other cozy games which don't have such problems and/or the developers respond.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Progression is extremely slow and inventorys end up a mess (please give us a filter button in storages example: seeds, produce, soil).
