I found myself wanting to know the whole truth so badly that I played the game through in one sitting. I've since gone back and played all three LIs. The story gets told from three different angles, thankfully, so it doesn't get same-y (and I imagine you'll get a fourth angle if you do the solo route, which I haven't tried yet). I enjoyed the Voyd route the most because I loved his character design and personality, but all three LIs are interesting. Writers did a great job creating characters with unique voices. Story is very dense and playing the different routes helped me to understand the minutia of the story, since it does throw you right in and never lets up.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Even though I found the original English script a bit difficult to follow, the world building sucked me right in and I was eager to learn more about the mystery surrounding the FMC and the backstories of the love interests. Now that I played through the entire thing (all achievements), just want to leave a review (spoilers free) for those who are on the fence and for the developers if they consider revisiting (I hope) the game world. TLDR: I recommend the game.
The good:
-\tThe character designs and CGs are consistent and well done. Sprites blended well with the background. I always appreciate good art in a visual novel because it’s such a prominent piece of the experience.
-\tThe world building/lore is also well done (with some caveats, see below). Unfamiliar terms are included in a glossary, which is nice. It’s worthwhile to play through all the good and bad endings not just for the achievements, but for the extra tidbits of information that you wouldn’t have gotten otherwise to “solve the mystery.” The game gives you just enough information about the social structure and power dynamics that the tension or the potential sources of problems in the story makes sense. But as I will elaborate below, you never learn the whole picture, and I think that’s why this could give a lot of potential to a future DLC.
-\tThe romance with love interests progresses fairly naturally for a short game. If I were to estimate, the common route spans about half the game, which is fairly long, meaning although there are some sweet moments in the game, which I did enjoy, they felt short when they are competing with (or literally cut short because of) the plot side of the game. For those looking for a spice rating - I consider there was basically no spice, but YMMV.
-\tThe music soundtrack really builds the atmosphere of the world. Thinking back, I think there may have been certain soundtracks dedicated specifically to individual love interests, which is a nice touch.
The not so good:
-\tI think several of the points I discuss below could have some connection with the quality of the English translation. I believe the native language is Russian, since at certain points I switched to Chinese and it didn’t seem to be based off of the English script. I really think the English translation could be finessed in a future update to improve clarity. I sometimes used the AI translation in Chinese to read deeper into the English translation at certain points of the game. For context, I’m a native English and Chinese speaker.
-\tI think the biggest issue I have with the current state of the game is that I don’t feel like the story is finished. I’m not sure whether the developers meant to do this, but each route gives just enough unsatisfying pieces of information, whether through an offhanded or vague remark (see my translation point too), that you find yourself going back and forth guessing about things that don’t end up being revealed at the end of any of the endings, including the no romance route that was supposed to give some closure. As someone who likes knowing the answers, I find myself a bit desperate trying to make sense of what I was supposed to learn from the story. I agree with another reviewer that the romance also felt cut short, since there were no after stories that at least explore the relationships after the main arch of the game.
Overall, the pros outweighed the cons in terms of my enjoyment of the game. I hope the developers choose to develop a DLC for a more satisfying closure to this game. I think the potential is there to at least do something else with this game universe.

I played Voyd's route and after building up the relationship and story for the whole game they just go out on the balcony and have a little chat and it just ends very abruptly. There is no closure for the story or the relationship. Like they built up so much spicy tension and then nothing came of it. They wrote a really cool story and then nothing was resolved. It all built up to nothing. I had to do a double take because I couldn't believe the game was actually over. I was completely dumbfounded. So we have visual novels and otomes that:
- hit you over the head with exposition
- have a boring setting and worldbuilding. They come with a giant glossary of it's boring and bland 101 technology and (natural) laws explained to you to the point were it makes it clear that the writer was more enamored with their generic "stuff" in their world, a really unnecessary focus on small stupid stuff that doesn't need change from real world equivalents just for the sake of it. A telephone is still a phone. The tech may become more sophisticated, but don't name it something dumb and extra just cause you can.
- are needlessly melodramatic for the sake of it
- have slapstick comedy - maybe have a comedic relief character to while you are at it...
- have convoluted writing and prose. Makes you read sentences thrice, because nothing sticks
- have pacing issues - makes you unsure whether it's due to incompetence or dragging out read-time
- have a story, pretending to be a story
- have tonal shifts that don't match
- have boring routes with no theme or expanding on the story. Really cliched love interests
- have boring side-chars that take up way too much screen-time
- have poor choice of music. "Oh hey.. it's another song by Kevin MacLeod. Couldn't you just have dug a little deeper when it came to picking royalty free music? Nah? Okay..."
- have a stupid self-indulgent gay/enby/asexual/whatever besti for your female protagonist. "They are your BEST friend! They will ask you about your love life. They are extroverted and fabulous! They will take up 20% of screen-time" gay/enby/asexual/whatever aren't the problem, but this convoluted writing is, in this obvious very self-indulgent genre for a mostly female hetero crowd. It won't make the writer a good person, an ally nor progressive. It's like poor window-dressing made for no-one, but the writer.
None of the above mentioned applies here. This is one of the best visual novels I've read for quite some time. The lack of glossary promo screenshots and the bare description alone is a crime against this absolute gorgeous and fascinating world that is the base of this story. The last story that had such an unique and lovely world-building was "It Stares Back!" by Light Arc Studio Ltd for me. So yeah, that was a while. The story is great and suspenseful. Every route opens up knew knowledge and divergence in the the story. I get that some people are displeased with certain endings or turns of the story, but I see this more like it trying to be realistic. Not everything can be resolved under certain circumstances. Even side characters have not everything handed to them. Not everything need as bombastic ending. Tragedy was averted and the protagonist can be lucky to even be alive. She is not the chosen one, but a citizen. We do not get to know absolutly everything. What exactly is the city? Where was the choir? What happened to humankind? Some backstage stuff, stays backstage for us to ponder about.
Art direction is immaculate, super consistent and beautiful. I get that money is an issue, but this novel proves that one should not be stingy when it comes to picking your backgrounds and music - creating custom background images and music has such a huge immersive effect that should never be underestimated.
Backgrounds are consistent. You know it's made for this game and with purpose. They are a perfect representation for the setting. No generic Sci-fi dreck. They have personality and thoughts put behind it. I love them. I love the architectural and modern internet visual genres put in here together. Colors in this game are super pleasing to the eye and very well chosen. Nothing is muddled.
The music is beautiful and impactful. Not too loud or bombastic. Loud wouldn't fit and takes away from the suspense. The music is perfectly chosen and utilized with this novel. The variety of music for this novel is pretty big too. As someone who likes electronic ambient/drone music this soundtrack is wonderful. (The music of the climax were we find the origin of the voice is sooooo good)
The main character does not suck. All 3 love interests were super interesting and fresh. The writer actually used this setting to not just as a background drop, but actively used all it's parts to weave in themes into each route. Not hamfisted, mind you. Not cheesy, but sensible, flowing naturally. Like a good sci-fi would. It also massively helps that isn't the bog standard "what if we took sci-fi and add magic/mythical elements to it?" setting.
I want more from this world. I want DLCs. I want another game set in this place. It left me with a hole. I probably won't be able to stumble upon something this nice for a while.

So we have visual novels and otomes that:
- hit you over the head with exposition
- have a boring setting and worldbuilding. They come with a giant glossary of it's boring and bland 101 technology and (natural) laws explained to you to the point were it makes it clear that the writer was more enamored with their generic "stuff" in their world, a really unnecessary focus on small stupid stuff that doesn't need change from real world equivalents just for the sake of it. A telephone is still a phone. The tech may become more sophisticated, but don't name it something dumb and extra just cause you can.
- are needlessly melodramatic for the sake of it
- have slapstick comedy - maybe have a comedic relief character to while you are at it...
- have convoluted writing and prose. Makes you read sentences thrice, because nothing sticks
- have pacing issues - makes you unsure whether it's due to incompetence or dragging out read-time
- have a story, pretending to be a story
- have tonal shifts that don't match
- have boring routes with no theme or expanding on the story. Really cliched love interests
- have boring side-chars that take up way too much screen-time
- have poor choice of music. "Oh hey.. it's another song by Kevin MacLeod. Couldn't you just have dug a little deeper when it came to picking royalty free music? Nah? Okay..."
- have a stupid self-indulgent gay/enby/asexual/whatever besti for your female protagonist. "They are your BEST friend! They will ask you about your love life. They are extroverted and fabulous! They will take up 20% of screen-time" gay/enby/asexual/whatever aren't the problem, but this convoluted writing is, in this obvious very self-indulgent genre for a mostly female hetero crowd. It won't make the writer a good person, an ally nor progressive. It's like poor window-dressing made for no-one, but the writer.
None of the above mentioned applies here. This is one of the best visual novels I've read for quite some time. The lack of glossary promo screenshots and the bare description alone is a crime against this absolute gorgeous and fascinating world that is the base of this story. The last story that had such an unique and lovely world-building was "It Stares Back!" by Light Arc Studio Ltd for me. So yeah, that was a while. The story is great and suspenseful. Every route opens up knew knowledge and divergence in the the story. I get that some people are displeased with certain endings or turns of the story, but I see this more like it trying to be realistic. Not everything can be resolved under certain circumstances. Even side characters have not everything handed to them. Not everything need as bombastic ending. Tragedy was averted and the protagonist can be lucky to even be alive. She is not the chosen one, but a citizen. We do not get to know absolutly everything. What exactly is the city? Where was the choir? What happened to humankind? Some backstage stuff, stays backstage for us to ponder about.
Art direction is immaculate, super consistent and beautiful. I get that money is an issue, but this novel proves that one should not be stingy when it comes to picking your backgrounds and music - creating custom background images and music has such a huge immersive effect that should never be underestimated.
Backgrounds are consistent. You know it's made for this game and with purpose. They are a perfect representation for the setting. No generic Sci-fi dreck. They have personality and thoughts put behind it. I love them. I love the architectural and modern internet visual genres put in here together. Colors in this game are super pleasing to the eye and very well chosen. Nothing is muddled.
The music is beautiful and impactful. Not too loud or bombastic. Loud wouldn't fit and takes away from the suspense. The music is perfectly chosen and utilized with this novel. The variety of music for this novel is pretty big too. As someone who likes electronic ambient/drone music this soundtrack is wonderful. (The music of the climax were we find the origin of the voice is sooooo good)
The main character does not suck. All 3 love interests were super interesting and fresh. The writer actually used this setting to not just as a background drop, but actively used all it's parts to weave in themes into each route. Not hamfisted, mind you. Not cheesy, but sensible, flowing naturally. Like a good sci-fi would. It also massively helps that isn't the bog standard "what if we took sci-fi and add magic/mythical elements to it?" setting.
I want more from this world. I want DLCs. I want another game set in this place. It left me with a hole. I probably won't be able to stumble upon something this nice for a while.

No, but seriously. Even if you aren't a fan of Sci-Fi stuff, this Developer sure knows how to put together an interesting story, as well as characters.
It's hard for me to describe exactly what draws me to these works... It's more like... Everyone and everything is intriguingly weird. In a mysterious, alluring kinda way.
And well, the CGs are fun/really well drawn as always. The Russian/English is superbly great as well.
I also enjoyed the slight humor, the mystery and Voyd's certain expression. I couldn't stop laughing at that one.
As for the guys... I liked them all. Truly.
All distinct and with their own quirks.
Voyd got the hotter CGs. Ista the sweeter ones (Asta's lil cheek pushed up a little as she had her head on his chest was so cute!) and Hemin got the... I guess in between both of those? Still more complicated though. Figures.
And ah Neph. Lol. That one is both terrifying and a crazy fun character to behold at the same time!!!

The world can be a bit complicated to understand even with the glossary, but it still pulls you right in and doesn't let go, the type that makes you want to dive in and know everything about it. The writing and interactions between the characters are AMAZING, and not just in the romance department. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer! The LI's are interesting but the story alone was good enough for me to make it work $9 on sale. In the solo route, you get plenty of romance from all the guys and they're all good looking. The art is wonderful. I think it's a great route and I'm sure the others are good too. There's a lot of violence and vulgarity but it is good regardless. The story is unique, though it took me awhile to understand some of the terms and at some points I was confused but that didn't hinder my overall understanding of what was happening. I went through all three love routes in order to better understand the story and it was nice that even though it was the same story happening, each route explained things in a different way so that it wasn't entirely repetitive.
The love interests are all quite different and it was cool to see how differently Asra (you) interacted with them depending on whose route you chose. I loved how straight up Voyd was, how shy and awkward Ista was, and how hard Hemin was trying to feel feelings. The art was great and I loved all the images that were drawn with extra detail when things were getting exciting. I do wish there were more dialogue options to choose though, particularly later in the game. There were times where it seemed like I would get the choice to do something/say something but Asra chose her own way. \n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI haven't finished the game yet but i'm absolutely hooked. The writing is engaging, has me laughing and at the edge of my seat. The characters feel unique, The designs speak to me and the world building feels very thought out.
I play a lot of VN's and this one definitely managed to hold my attention despite me not being a huge scifi fan.
The story takes some getting used to and necessary information is elaborated on through text options.
Once you get past the initial confusion and trying to piece it all together, the story drags you along, the beats of the story feel natural.
The art is stunning, It's simple enough to not overwhelm you with visual information, but has an endearing style. It's soft on the eyes but has enough character to be visually appealing.
I can't wait to discover more of the story!

I would love DLC that has like an epilogue or something to see more interactions with your chosen romantic interest but regardless I loved the story that was shown.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\thonestly, SIGILLVM: Resonance is a very solid visual novel with a lot of original lore, interesting setting and story set-up. while a little confusing at first, with help of glossary and a cast of well-written charming characters, the player is swiftly swept into machinations of the plot.
the limited perspective of Asra leaves a lot unsaid and unexplained, which proved a little frustrating at times, but ultimately left me craving for more: more lore, mory story and more interactions with both the male leads and the rest of the cast (damn, I wish Lume was romancable!).
the only thing I felt could be added is a final illustration for all endings. while I get that there were illustrations for conclusions of romantic subplots, i feel like they could be shifted further or exchanged for a final picture that illustrated each available ending. I get that it's a lot of work, but it's just a thought on my side, not a strong complaint.
overall good writing, minor spelling errors somewhere along the way; great art!!! and very, very cool lore. wish I could find out more about the Choir, and the...

... chimera in the Labyrinth -- as in what it was, how it came to be et cetera and how was it so disasterously strong to destroy everything in its wake (in one of the endings at least)? wow.
anyhow, keep up the good work! i'll be waiting for more Sigillvm and Caball series installments as well!\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
