The mix of apathy, melancholy, and comfort in misery is perfectly illustrated in this one. The arstyle and dialogue go hand in hand, and some of the characters stay with you for a long time. <br><br>The horror is not in your face; it's creeping, lingering. It's more dread than anything, and the story does not just offer itself to you. If you are a person that can empathize quickly with NPCs and stories, some decisions and endings hurt. glad I knew absolutely nothing going into this game, and if you want to do the same, don't read the rest of this review. just know that this game is worth the money.<br><br>POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT:<br>you play in an apocalyptic world with a lot of lore sprinkled throughout. the nights and their events are mostly linear, and certain characters will appear on specific nights, but a lot of encounters are completely rng, meaning you won't necessarily be able to talk to certain characters or trigger certain events every run.<br><br>there's more to it than just that, though: let a Visitor in? now your guests aren't safe anymore. let more than two in, and you're not safe either. the main antagonist will make sure of that.<br><br>the threat is also pretty different from the typical apocalypse scenario. visitors emerge from the ground and mimic humans while the sun is scorching the earth and seismic activity is tearing the surface of the earth apart. they pretend to be human and I want to say this is a type of game where you're holed up in your home and you have the decision to help others in need or not.  The way the art is drawn out in here is trippy and there are moments of dread and suspense that keep you curious and on your feet.  Like the name of the title implies, No, I'm not a Human - You certainly feel less of that as you try to figure out who is a &quot;Human&quot; and what that actually means.  But also the entities that are not considered to be &quot;Human&quot; can cause you to get a 'quick' ending. The story about the visitors is unsettling and mysterious. I like how you can look outside through the windows and see all sorts of horrors happening around you. With all the different endings, it's almost hard to get tired of playing it. The characters are so cool and I love each of their own stories.
