\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tthis game has it's fun moments but often it's incredibly infuriating trying to control your character even when sober, platforming is constant and is often a struggle, no matter how much you try some times. Trying to climb over lips of any kind tend to yield frustration. Your character cannot even function ragdolled, which means you can often die from being stunlocked by the environment, or by enemies that are just wailing on you there are glitchy hand positions on surfaces, annoying bonus tasks that makes you spend most of the time just getting back where you left off, with little to no benifit to even do bonuses, besides extra points that are better just spent finishing the level instead.
as much as I love the art style, the story and the ability to alter your character to fit a certain build is neat but it's also a massive hinderance that most of this game is a platformer and often kills off any casual experience from the game, and as much as some people say, I don't mind the fact you can some times instantly die from things, especially being killed by weapons. I was laughin in tears watching other people play and crying tears of pain when playing it myself. It's a hard game to master, unpredictablen, janky and exciting. We need more games like this that are real challenges, that you can't just run through in one sitting! Don't expect a typically easy watered down game like dark sous or getting over it. TL;DR It's a funny quirky game with a nice visual style, it runs well and there will be frustrating issues that are completely out of your control which is funny for an hour then it might get tedious
In the games current state I don't recommend it, I believe this game could be really fun and feel rewarding to learn but right now it's got issues.
Character creation is tedious, it requires you to put food into a pot to change your stats without telling you what stat it will alter until it's in the pot putting you in an annoying 5 minute scenario of taking things in and out of the pot to see what stat adjustment each food makes for you to just not care to engage with it and run the default stats
Damage calculations are all over the place considering you can get 1hit from a tap to the face but hitting enemies in the face multiple times does nothing then sometimes 1hits them
Your character just falls over and your inputs don't aid in getting back up, I honestly don't know if this is a mechanic or something else at this point it happens frequently enough that I'm honestly unsure as it's not explained anywhere and the NPCs don't do it but it feels bad.
The alt dash feels useless, maybe skill issue but I've not had much success with it
The enemies movement is a lot more stable than yours so often times you can be charged and just bashed over which is counterable at least but it feels lame, this is also evident in the way they use their weapons as you can fold them into a pretzel on the floor and they manage to put their sword through their legs and stab you anyway, including ranged characters, they are very accurate even if they're crumpled up on the floor
Climbing is a great mechanic to add complexity to the game but it's a bit hit and miss sometimes and fall damage is a problem so you have to be careful getting back down as well
Mace is useless unless used in the overhead stance, outside of that stance it does no damage and is awful to use
Storing found weapons doesn't seem to store them unless it's something I've not unlocked yet but the game does not make that clear
There is no checkpoints in levels but I think that's fine, but this as a design choice becomes frustrating when one of the above issues gets your run reset leaving you with no progression what so ever\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

The physics based ragdoll combat is surprisingly deep offering a lot of different ways to fight sometimes including the environment.
I was also very impressed with the armour system where you can only effectively damage enemies striking them in the gaps.
However the movement and the jankiness of the platforming was infuriating at times. I get that your character is a drunk and he is constantly between grim hangover and deep intoxication (after healing) but when you can't reliably jump over a knee high box or rock... especially while half of the maps included platforming.
With that said the developers released a few patches after launch that definitely improved the game!
Overall I had fun, the art style made me come back until I finished it and the fighting was enjoyable to get through the platforming.
I hope the devs will keep improving this little gem of a game and will roll out more combat focused maps. This spinning the tales of fame and glory in different taverns could have many more chapters! (If they change the current ending)\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
