Do you ever miss those classic creepy point-and-click games from the 90s-00s? This game brings modern mechanics to old school memories with graphics that feel reminiscent of the past while including fun novelties that make it more current than classic point-and-clicks. Considering this is an indie with a small team behind it, I'm so impressed by its execution!
There are many characters, besides your character Mellow, with fantastic designs and entertaining dialogue. Their colorful ways compliment the vibrant landscapes and environments, all with impressive pixel art and 3D-modeling that meshes well together. The music and sound effects for this game fit perfectly and it only made interacting with that one character more enjoyable (you know what I'm talking about if you have played the game, hehe). The puzzles are challenging but not impossible to figure out without help, which made me happy considering I'm not always the best at puzzles.
It was hard to find any issues with this game, as some of the clunkiness is purposeful and part of the charm. The only criticism I had and noted while playing was how touchy the controls were with the 3D-animated portions, such as fighting bosses and the train. Near the beginning of the game (circus area), the train has touchy controls and it's really easy to hit the doorframe. This caused me to have to restart the train segment multiple times, which was annoying. I had similar issues with fighting bosses which made some of them more frustrating than others.

I really love this game and I agree with basically all the positive reviews. It's just such a well put-together thing and any criticisms I have of it are so minor they're not even worth mentioning. The sound design in this game is also incredible. Even if something seems very hard, it's easy after a few tries and I think anyone could pick this up.
BUT- This also is NOT one of those games that gives a content warning and you play it and you're just mildly disturbed. This game can get DARK. Especially in the Animal town. That's not a complaint, it's just a warning for people who can't handle it and think this is a cutesy game for children or something. If you cannot handle psychological horror, and I mean really dark and kind of gross at times dark, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. I love psyche horror and some of this stuff even got to me. And definitely DO NOT let children play it. Animated things aren't made just for kids.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

This game brings me back to games like Jumpstart, Pajama Sam, Nancy Drew, etc.. but for my adult brain. I played with my sister, and we thank you for making this game. I especially need to give credit to Packtion for the amazing soundtrack. This game would have been a hit regardless, but the music is what made it a 10/10 for me.

The game hits everything perfectly from art direction, sound design, and the music is so 10/10
The one and only thing that came up while playing that had me even minorly annoyed was getting stuck on some doorways to different zones.
Puzzles were all pretty good, felt like a large escape room style puzzles, nothing too easy where I had to feel like the dev was questioning my intelligence, nothing too hard I felt impossibly stuck. The few times I wasn't entirely sure what to do, talkin to a in game help character set it straight instantly.

From the blend of different animation styles, to the nostalgia it makes you feel for point and click adventures, this games blends all of it perfectly and then adds horror on top of it all to make it probably one of my favorite indie games I have ever played! I am so excited to see what Andyland does in the future, because MY GOD is this game amazing!!! \n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tWhat a surreal little game. Really plays into the feeling of a classic point and click game, while mixing in some of its own clever mechanics. The story is just wild - most of the genuine horror elements will only be encountered on a third playthrough when going for the last ending, but even outside of that route the game is constantly sprinkling in unsettling scenes and slight jumpscares on top of the goofy, cartoonish exterior. Even after 100%ing the game, you'll probably be left with more questions than answers. Admittedly, one of the 3 main zones is far more fleshed out than the rest, but all three have such a charm to them regardless.
While the whole game is playable on the steam deck/controller, there are a few things to be aware of. I would NOT recommend playing this game on a controller or handheld without trackpads, first off, but even then, the trackpads aren't ideal for a few puzzles, especially for the third ending, and combat can be tricky as well. A couple puzzles for the third ending will require desktop mode too. Overall this game is *playable* on the deck, but not ideal.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Among all the ♥♥♥♥ games I've played this was truly a diamond in the rough with such a compelling story that I had to get all the endings. You have to finish this game, sometimes the puzzles can get you stumped but with dedication and Tipy you can find the answer and it then all the other puzzles become so clear.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
