In my 6 hours of playtime, I have encountered not 1, not 2, not 3, but 5 softlock/game-ending bugs, which is super discouraging when the premise of this arduous game is to beat a run in a specific way to obtain a specific ending.
Beyond that, the boss fights (specifically one of them) have insane health for the weapons you get and their hitbox is crazy for being able to kill you in one hit.

Playing the first game is a requirement to play and enjoy this I believe since this just drops you right in pretty much where the last one ends. Whereas the first one builds up mystery and unfolds slowly this one just hits you in the face right from the start. Honestly, I think it is trying too hard to be creepy.
Perhaps it gets better as it goes on but the reason I am giving up on this is along with a bad first impression I just cannot stand the idea of trying to do this combat. Janky animations to try hit enemies whilst looping them around hoping not to get one shot grabbed.
