The game doesn't follow its own rules. The physics are some of the worst I've ever seen. There is genuinely no reason to ever play this game. The game hates you. It wants to actively ruin you day. No, it's not just a "git gud" moment. The one and ONLY time i managed to get the broken shovel to boss rush, for some reason, the other half rotates with binge eater, an item that, according to the wiki, cant be rerolled because it is a progression item. I'm so sick of this game. I'm so sick of Ed McMillen. I genuinely wish I had never even heard of this game.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Last night I had a severe skill issue that caused me to LOSE against the beast with sacred heart, terra, lost contact and other beautiful items. So Edmund decided to bless me this morning with a god run.
I started with pyromaniac, followed by a Dr. Fetus, already making my build unlosable. The other items from caves I and II were all tier 3 that boosted my tear rate and damage (like Mrs. dolly, tooth picks etc.)
Then with my ability to check every rock and secret room I found a secret room with an angel and soul hearts. I beat the angle and rerolled the item and got another tier 4 (breakfast), making it impossible to leave empty handed from treasure rooms or other item pedestals. After that I found a crawl space with a black market where I found Chaos.
Here is where my retarded ass came in play.
I wanted to go recharge my D6 so I tried to go back up, but went deeper into the crawl space and went to the next level. I didn't collect my treasure room from that floor and left 4 items in the black market, which could have been sacred heart for all I know.
At this point I was already fuming, but Edmund decided to bless me more giving me a a greed fight in a secret room which I rerolled into a holly mantle. Picked up the fool card and went to beat the beast. Next floor I get a curse room with 3 chest that teleport me to the angel deal where I beat the angel and get another 2 free items. I get a library with another 2 free items and using a xx-judgement card I get 3 free items with one reroll. In the shop another greed card and another item. I get a sacrifice room and since I got infinite life I decide to max it out. I get another 2 free items. Since I couldn't reroll them I decided to get myself to one heart to get in the challenge room and fill up my battery. Here my retarded β₯β₯β₯β₯β₯β₯β₯ ass went again in the spikes again and I got teleported to the dark room leaving all the items on the floor and making it impossible to beat the beast. As a steam sale player, I apologize deeply for ever playing the game, and I made sure to not waste any more electricity by using my tier 4 ALT F4 button.

And the amount of rooms, and even entire bosses that are just punishment and not actual fun difficulty is incredibly annoying, the only bosses that were fun was Hush and Dogma.
