\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tНеплохая Metroidvania в сеттинге славянской мифологии, прохождение заняло 15 часов, постарался по максимуму изучить мир, но некоторые моменты все равно остались непонятными для меня. В игре несколько сюжетных развилок, есть выборы в диалогах которые будут решать ваш дальнейший путь в игре, это прям очень понравилось, обязательно позже попробую перепройти игру при этом выбрать другой путь. Приятная озвучка, диалоги, дизайн, рисовка. Дизайн локаций, монстров и боссов понравились (есть некоторые моменты у боссов, но думаю это поправят, локация мертвая пустошь наверное единственная которая мне не понравилась, но это возможно дело вкуса).
Уже вышло несколько патчей, разработчики прислушиваются к идеям/советам игроков, надеюсь будут продолжать в том же духе и сделают эту игру еще лучше.
Советую фанатам жанра Metroidvania/2D Platformer и тем кому нравится данная тематика. Игре поставил бы на данный момент оценку 6.5 из 10. It has irreversible choices at certain points in the game that would require multiple playthroughs to see the different paths (based on achievement list and what happens in the story). I just didn't want to invest the time to do a second playthrough with so many games coming out at the moment.
The music and combat were good, but I felt like there was a small amount of animation locking (i.e. if you start a motion such as an attack or picking up an object, it prioritizes finishing the animation which leaves you open to getting hit if you're in the middle of a fight). The best thing about this game was the art style. I really like the art direction they went with.
I liked the world exploration and design, but there were definitely areas I couldn't reach due to not having a double jump ability or an ability to go through black smoke that instant kills you. I don't think I missed anything, so maybe it has to do with one of the choices you make, especially considering I never unlocked the third skill tree branch and still finished the game.
I did have some minor gripes with the game, such as only having 3 markers for the map, and an inventory which doesn't scroll down when you have a full page making it impossible to select new items you've picked up.
It should be noted that there seems to be a difficulty spike entering chapter 3... or at least that's when I felt the game balance just jumped to the point where I started struggling unless I ran by mobs.

The controls feel a bit too slow for a metroidvania, especially with the significant amount of platforming that I was definitely not expecting after initially feeling the controls. Even more so when most platform jumps involved grabbing onto a ledge and watching the slow climb up animation hundreds of times. It really ruined the pacing for me.
The combat was slightly better but was expected of a "souls-like" tag. However, I found most bosses were easy to cheese/spam down. Nothing really stood out to me with the combat.
Pacing/story of the game felt really off. I felt like there were "time skips" in some cutscenes as the transitions were so abrupt and often found myself asking wtf just happened/going on.
I also ran into a few bugs that I found annoying and requiring me to alt + f4 the game. For example, I picked up too many items and never used them. This resulted in a full inventory that for some reason, I couldn't scroll down on. So when I did find a item I needed by end of game, I had to spam use about 10-12 items just to be able to select and equip it. The game also froze 3 separate times buying supplies/skills from vendors.
I've played A LOT of metroidvania as this is my favorite genre. As a result, I typically myself spending hours trying to 100% the game. I did not feel any desire to do so with this game and began rushing toward the end.
Overall, it was worth the 30% discount I bought it on and I was able to finish it. If you have nothing else to scratch the metroidvania itch with, this could be an okay distraction for 7-10 hours. Otherwise, I have difficulty recommending it.
EDIT : I noticed the Devs pushed out 2 patches since my review. The first addressed 2 bugs I forgot to mention in my original post and the 2nd addressed 2 of the bugs I did mention. I definitely was not expecting such a fast turn around, which is great and I decided to spend another hour on the game. This involved a new game up to Tsar area and several of the more heavy platform areas at end game.
In short, the biggest improvement for me was the Volkolak, ledge grabbing, and platforming speed. I wish I waited just 1 more day before playing this game as those improvements almost felt like I was playing a different game. Navigating the areas felt more satisfying and less of a chore. For these reasons, I am changing my rating to a 7/10 and would recommend. Overall a solid game. \t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I am sure that maybe the game gets better but I cannot see myself interested in playing further. I know I am in the minority in not enjoying this game. What else is good... After the patches, the controls feel way more responsive. I still don't get what happened to dropping down from platforms, though - it used to be just "down," now it's "down + jump"? Well, it's not too bad overall.
