\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI would like to see this game strive upon 1.0 release, I would recommend this game however after completing beta in its current state there are more cons that cannot be dismissed over the pros it has. It feels like a mix between Chernobyl, Once Human with a sprinkle of Dying Light except with little customizability in general , lack of weapon variety, a whole lot of bad jank, dumb AI missing mechanics that seems like a no brainer to have in a survival game like this and a dead world no pun intended.
cutting to the chase I am only listing this to be interoperated as constructive criticism that I would like the devs to consider moving forward with the project.
.Jank can be fun at times however the animations and AI of monsters are so janky it breaks immersion more times than not example; those four legged creatures that leap around directionless then turn around and randomly lunge at you are frustratingly hard to try and hit.
.Lack of weapon variety with no ability to customize them such as the ability to add perks or attachments to them
.Adding to lack of weapons is there is only one melee weapon in the game your stuck with that is also used to chop wood. There is also no melee stun with all weapons that shoot in case an enemy gets too close which is a basic mechanic almost every FPS of all time has.
.Map is deceivingly small compared to where you can actually explore. The map shows a huge portion as unexplored however every corner where you try to travel into new territory is locked by an ocean, you are locked in on an island unable explore more than 75% of the maps boundary that you haven't explored yet. In other words the unexplored territory is unexplorable at this time so the playable map is much smaller than what it shows that is available to explore. This is infuriating considering that I haven't run into most creatures as advertised in the trailer.
.It would be nice to see weather anomalies or seasonal changes, in general there is no weather system that dynamically changes to make the environment feel more engaging, the current weather system is static also there is little difference between day and night, night time just feels like bad daytime overcast.
.No swimming, you just sink like a rock and die. there's enough of the map that has water deep enough to drown in however there is no mechanic implemented to swim
.No dismemberment, that would be awesome to see heads, limbs and tentacles explode according to the weapons that would do that type of damage.
.All enemies agro you; in a world of feral creatures there's no infighting? there can be 5 creatures at once chasing you like a magnet but they are tamed friends existing cohesively next to one another other until one of these creatures spots you then you become the only thing all of them want to kill.
.Enemies randomly spawn in places for no rhyme or reason for example zombies, armed mutants and those goofy lookin squids will spawn on the train tracks which acts as the only "safe zone" in the game.
.Enemies clip through walls almost all the time
.I beat the entire early access without planting a single seed just seems like a useless gimmick mechanic to me, furthermore i have yet to come across a single pot to plant anything, IDK what im missing but there was never a prompt as to how to do this so for the entire playthrough, I am just stuck with a bunch of seeds that I never planted and apparently I never needed to use them in the first place. This game mechanic didn't affect my survival regardless what playthrough I chose.
.The glider IMO travels so fast it almost still feels like your free falling and there is no ability to control the direction during flight
.slow trails from shooting makes the gun feel unrealistic, it loses the sense of impact the weapon should have and breaks immersion.
.Finding cover whether its behind a wall, rock, broken down vehicle etc. peering out and attempting to shoot even when your aiming with a clear shot at the target will result in your weapon hitting an invisible barrier next to whatever your taking cover behind. It would be nice if they added a lean left and right mechanic as well if this gets patched.
.The skill tree is too linear and there's nothing cool or exciting that makes you want to work for. They're not like new skills or powers, most of the skill tree consists of perks like 10% faster reloading, more stamina, more armor, more health, better weapon control etc. and the unlockable perk after that is just 10% more faster reloading speed even better weapon control, more health etc. I think this mechanic should be reworked into a level system thats separated from blood points where your character can level up and spend attribute points from say lvl 1-100. Keep the blood point system but use it to fill with skills, powers or special traits that keeps the game from feeling like a redundant grind to progress by introducing fun new mechanics instead.
. The only use crouching has in the game is just to duck underneath something so don't expect to sneak or perch yourself in a nice sniping position because enemies immediately know exactly where your at and if you think your safe in that position then think again because a lot of the various enemies will just start throwing ♥♥♥♥ at you also crouch feels more like army crawling.
.There are areas in the game where you either clip and fall through the map, walk through a shipping container or invisible barriers where you should be able to walk through for example there is an area that has a wooden bridge you should be able walk under where you see a dead soldier with a machine gun to pick up but your unable to because an invisible wall prevents you from walking under the bridge.
.Clunky animations and AI makes enemy interactions feel dated by a decade plus some examples of this are running animations dont match the speed they should be running, it looks like these type of enemies are also gliding on the terrain, imagine someone ice skating looking like their going really fast yet somehow only they are only at a walking speed. It feels like these are stock asset animations the devs didn't bother to customize to make unique as i have seen the exact same running animation used in other games looking just as clunky.
. The story is so dull and meaningless that its almost better off not have one at all. In a world absent of NPCs it feels like a pointless premise doing tasks for someone who bosses you around through a radio to go here and there to run errands with nothing to give or offer to help you along the journey. The main storyline of the whole game is to find parts to fix a train with seemingly no explanation. The person telling you to get the parts is also completely useless and constantly makes snarky comments as if half the time she is just trying to get you killed
. No NPCs, I would love to see a system where there are friendly and non friendly NPCs or factions similar to fall out that have their own outposts and traverse the map for supplies while getting into organic skirmishes between monsters and other factions. As of now its a dead wasteland and unfortunately you are left alone as the only live human on the entire map. .I think if the Devs reworked whatever the story is at this time into giving freedom for the player to develop their own story by choosing to either create or join a faction with a system to invade/ sabotage/ engage in war/ betray/ recruit soldiers etc. would make for a longer and more enjoyable gameplay loop.
This is overall a fun and addicting game ,I am excited to see what you guys cook up next!

I give this game a current 7/10 and the potential for 10/10. the physics with the gravity gun is very satisfying. the enemies are varied and fun to take on. The bosses are unique. if you like Half-Life, 7 Days to Die, or anything Lovecraftian then this game is right up your alley.

Is this worth the full price at this time ? I would say wait until it goes on sale then get it. Two of the major bugs I have dealt with is while switching weapons for a moment the next weapon will be pink until the graphic's can catch up and the other is sometimes items will clip into one another making hard to grab an item like health pack or food.
