I've actually been inspired to pursue a similar creative endeavor of my own inspired by HSH! I've also always loved beastiaries-- they just scratch that itch in my brain. This game did that for me perfectly, combining the beastiary aspect with a spooky, tense story. I loved it SO MUCH and will be following the creators for any new projects!!!!!!!!\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

It's a fun little game where you work at a call center answering calls from homeowners who have issues in their homes ranging from common pests like bees and cockroaches, to the otherworldly like Hobbs, Dorchas and Portals! I reeaallly wish it were longer as I found it rather enjoyable. It doesn't have replayability as the calls are all set for each day therefore the only reason to really play again is to get all the achievements. Would be awesome if every entry had it's own 'caller' or 2 and the calls were random. Or if you finish the game it could unlock a free for all mode where you play through another week after your promotion and anything goes. You could even add achievements like - Correctly identify all the 'Hobb' calls or all the 'False' things calls, etc. Who knows, maybe in the future? Game is worth the price as it sits IMO and I am still missing 2 achievements so I will be playing again!\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

The game goes for a scary vibe, but as a avid horror fan myself I rarely got scared, uneasy yes, but I think the most scared I got was hearing the audio log for the Boggart. I love a 90s OS style, and found the UI and graphics very satisfying. I finished the main story same day of purchase. Overall this game is crunchy, mildly disturbing and entertaining. Most importantly, there aren't any cheap jump scares. All the chills I got were from the consequences of incorrect decisions. The psych horror aspect of this game comes into play when you get the call-backs or the connection goes out..
Gradual unlock of all the information makes the quiz style game-play engaging instead of tedious. Common pests like roaches and fleas prominent early on make easing into the horror aspects easy. The game wants you to take your time thinking through your answers, they don't dump paragraphs of dialogue into the calls, so small details are important, and you aren't on a timer while the caller is on hold. The game is forgiving with certain call-backs that help you learn from mistakes as you go.
End of game gives you option of replaying (with extra quality of life features like skipping the brief wait time between calls), and has a 'practice' mini game to help with recall while replaying the main story, instead of having to stare at an index or repeat the same level over and over. As someone who enjoys replaying these kinds of games and unlocking all of the achievements, this is something I really appreciated.

The plot is fairly interesting though, so I do encourage others to get the game, especially if you are seeking something casual without jump scares. But if you're looking for excitement that games like KinitoPet, Her Story, or Heaven Does Not Respond give; I would not recommend this one.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
