I'm also very happy to say the Dev team really listened tester feedback about design, balance, QoL and other aspects in shaping the game.

I've only played for about 45 minutes so far, but I'm really enjoying it. I'm still working my way through the tutorial, making my way along the questline, and actively following the game's story.But I'm gradually starting to understand all the different mechanics. I've built my first school and am already taking care of around 50 peeps. It's just really satisfying to watch the city grow.

You start with just a spaceship, building the first few simple huts and gardens for your first settlement. The scope of this game expands and expands and keeps expanding, eventually spanning the galaxy while you manage a huge variety of complex systems.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tA city builder in the "On top of ..." category. This time it's a space whale. In general - from the short play I had so far - feels alright. The graphics are alright, music gets tiring after a while but it's ok too. For me, the most important bit is the mechanical side, the words of the day are optimization and adjacency. Most buildings have upgradeable adjacency bonuses if built correctly. Doing it this way allows you to multiply the output by a lot without having to have multiple copies of a building. However, the terrain (or your planning) will not always cooperate. There's also a pollution mechanic to take care of. Later on, you travel around a space map, encounter stuff on other planets etc. - expeditions come around, where you send people places to get resources. As I said - it's quite alright. And it's one of these games that looks simple early on, and turn into insanity later. Fun fun fun!

I'm editing because at this moment there's a pathfinding bug that occurs in the tutorial; I don't know if it's a general problem in the game. It causes an onboarding problem and makes me want to cancel the purchase. Even if the building is connected to the streets, if the factory buildings are next to each other, the workers won't go. If you place two warehouses side by side, neither of them is completed. And there's the power problem: if you place the sawmill next to the burner generator, nobody works and it says there's no power, and if you place it on the other side of the street, which the game's power filter says is valid, it also says there's no power... it doesn't get past the tutorial and exits the game... waiting for a patch because the game seems cool.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t \n\t\t\t\t

It was a little confusing at first to figure out the requirements for power but the game is slow paced enough for you to work through little hiccups like that. The story is interesting and the controls are smooth. I didn't notice any issues in game play either it's a pretty solid game. I highly recommend if you enjoy civilization builders and want a new style to add to your rotation.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
