Beyond that, the game is very enjoyable, nicely paced, and easy to understand. i like the fact that you have to explore to find something, its not all just everywhere. all in all a 10/10 game

Might be a for a bunch tho.
I only played a few minutes but I can already tell this is not my cup of tea, upfront, simple hollywood-ish story, no mysteries, the tone is set, ok-ish voice acting, mid writing, "grab my hand" tutorial, I'm out.
Again, this is not a negative critique, just not my taste.
The game looks beautiful and runs well, I'm sure it'll please lot of people, as it explores a leftover niche in the survival craft genre, that might appeal to people enjoying the whole "frozen word post-apocalyptic" set.
I leave a positive review to support the devs.
As for all early access games, time will tell, be attentive to dev activity, community feedback , etc.

I only played a few minutes but I can already tell this is not my cup of tea, upfront, simple hollywood-ish story, no mysteries, the tone is set, ok-ish voice acting, mid writing, "grab my hand" tutorial, I'm out.
Again, this is not a negative critique, just not my taste.
The game looks beautiful and runs well, I'm sure it'll please lot of people, as it explores a leftover niche in the survival craft genre, that might appeal to people enjoying the whole "frozen word post-apocalyptic" set.
I leave a positive review to support the devs.
As for all early access games, time will tell, be attentive to dev activity, community feedback , etc.

For a game thats marketed around multiplayer I was immediately surprised by the fact that loot is shared and that the dog only appeared for me and not my friend. He could literally be afk and i could go and complete the questline without him. I played the play test all the way through but for a game thats been in development for 4 years im surprised by the amount of jank. animations are bizarre especially when mining or tree felling. The voice acting is somehow even more bizarre. The animals are using some of the simplest AI i would expect from a tech demo. Im honestly just a bit surprised and dissapointed.
I wanna add something because i guess im still surprised that people can write such vitriol in the comments. My main point being that the marketing for this game places a heavy emphasis on its co-op but it feels like its not learning from the success of other co-op mechanics. Loot should not be shared, it causes competition for resources when you already need some for early game quests. The dog not appearing does seem to be a bug i guess from the way the developer responded, but that reinforces the fact that I cant recommend the game when such a core part of the gameplay is locked out for the people you want to play with. If it is a bug, i truly dont know how this was missed at this point on launch. People can come at me about the fact that its in early access but that strawman argument is made so often it feels like they cant even look through their own words. The devs clearly want the feedback, and thats the most important thing they can get on launch. In no way am i trying to bash them as i imagine they have put significant work into this project, but they want the truth. I really hope this game exceeds my and others expectations. But we have been fighting over 4 hours to figuring out why we couldn't join each others world. We passed the tutorial as it suggested us to do, and no avail we couldn't join each others games. Which is weird because we see other peoples worlds joinable so it doesn't make any sense, we have good connect and we get about 5 gbs of speed when downloading games. It's fun. Yeap, it's day-one early access, and it has some hiccups and glitches. But the game is fun, the building system is (relatively) intuitive, and it's not punishing for basic mistakes.
Dev suggestions (if they read this):
In-Base Crafting. If I have all the materials needed to build something/craft something within a reasonable distance of myself/the crafting table, PLEASE let me craft from my storage boxes. Having to physically have all the items on me is going to become troublesome later on, especially when dozens of items (currently) have very similar artwork; clicking one and realizing I grabbed the wrong one and having to run back over to grab the other one is a pain.
Like-with-like sorting. Currently, I can press R (default) to simply 'take all' from a chest. How about also adding an option to deposit all (to match existing items already in the chest) or withdraw all to only match items I already have in my inventory?
Also, if you're a loot goblin like I am, having restrictions on chests (i.e., clickable menu of X can go here, Y can not) keeps people organized, especially when multiple players are building/working the same base.

Not having any of the problems other people are re: crashes or issues loading the game. Game plays really smooth for me. Only issue I'm having is the game seems to respond really sluggish during dialogue when using my steam controller, so I've switched to playing with keyboard and mouse and things are much more responsive. Would love to see the controller issue resolved because I would prefer to play with the steam controller, but for now I'm enjoying the story and gameplay.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
