I purchased the base game and 14 DLC items bringing me at least to 100-110€ spent on the game.
With that i could have bought the Gold Edition or the base game + the DLC Collection separately.
Now i would need to spend another 59.99€ to get the rest of the DLCs with 14 items i wouldn't be able to receive and i can't even get a refund.

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tAlright, I'm going to keep this short and sweet(This was not short at all). I don't really like the current negative reviews of the game, so I want to write my own that testifies against them. Anything I say should be taken with a grain of salt.
I can very well agree that the story of the game is very underwhelming, and I basically snoozed my way through it. It felt like a forced session of constant walking. There are more reasons why I disliked it, but I can't pinpoint them.
PERFORMANCE
A constant dislike with the game is the overall performance; it has come an insanely long way if I am honest. From beta, where I'd always get 34 fps with a lot of laggy frames, to now, where I am at least averaging 50+ fps in even the highest quality of areas, is amazing. I've had my current pc for a few years, and it only cost a thousand dollars, the literal bare "minimal" for a gaming pc. If I can run this game with zero crashes, then maybe those people crashing should really study their pc's better and find the issue.
DIFFICULTY SCALING
A lot of old Monster Hunter players are sh*tting on Wilds for being too "unbearably easy" in the early game, when the game's difficulty is literally scaling in the same way as any other Monster Hunter game. My first game was Rise, and I solo'd every hub quest, not knowing that the monsters had buffed hp there without a hint of struggle. For MH:WLD, I haven't got stuck in it's early game once either, I have only quest failed on Nergigante, a built different monster. And even then, what's wrong with a game's early game being easy? Everyone's experience with a game's difficulty is subjective. Is that not what an early game is? Why is Wilds being sh*tted on for being easy? Positioning has never been hard in world or rise until MR, so that doesn't make sense either, really. I can completely understand the dislike of focused slash attacks; however, they completely trivialize the game against monsters that aren't arch tempered or certain tanky tempered monsters. This crutch is almost non-existent in the endgame, though, against monsters that are arch-tempered. Also, a quick nitpick that people make, auto-moving seikrets are optional; if you hate them so much, then don't use it, stop whining about it. If you like exploring so much, then turn your map off. You bought the game, you can make it more enjoyable for yourself, but you just don't.
VISUAL APPEAL(Very subjective subject)
Artistic value can be very subjective, yes, but many argue that Wilds has by quote, "the most unoriginal coloring and scheme of any other monster hunter game," which is plain out exaggeration. Wilds takes place somewhere in the New World that is completely unknown, with a very low human population. While world is the "First time exploration OF THE NEW WORLD", it's of course going to look very colorful and bright because that's how it literally felt like to the hunters. It's like a child wandering into a candy shop for the first time. Wilds takes the view of an experienced hunter wandering through unknown lands with different locales and monsters, everything is gonna look like a single color and look exactly what it is. Another negative thing that people have been saying is how uninspired the areas look. I personally disagree; the simplicity of the areas is exactly how they should be. Not every forest is shaped like World's Forest, which becomes a glorified maze or a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ treacherous climb up a tree just to reach a Rathalos. A desert/plains biome looks exactly how you'd think it would look. As the name suggests, "Iceshard cliffs" is a very cold frozen area where monsters matching the environment's elements thrive. Oilwell basin is a...Oilwell basin that is very hot. To me, there is nothing wrong with this simplicity. The art style from World and Wilds is two different things and was made this way purposely.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

As someone who has spent a few thousand of hours in Monster Hunter: World, Monster Hunter Wilds feels less like an evolution and more like a regression.
The biggest difference is that World respected the hunt. You had to learn maps, track monsters, pay attention to footprints and environmental clues, and gradually master each locale. In Wilds, your Seikret automatically takes you wherever you need to go, monsters are immediately marked, and gathering materials is reduced to scrolling through a menu and pressing a button while riding. Exploration has become little more than a loading screen you can control.
Combat has undergone a similar simplification. World rewarded positioning, commitment, and knowing when to attack or back off. Every swing mattered because overcommitting could get you punished. In Wilds, attacks are far more forgiving, weapons can correct their direction mid-combo, and perfect guard trivialize attacks that previously required proper preparation or skill investment. It feels like the game constantly tries to save you from making mistakes instead of asking you to improve. Additionally the Seikret also ends up feeling like a safety net rather than a meaningful gameplay mechanic. Being able to instantly mount up and ride away from danger makes avoiding attacks far too simple in a hunt.
Another step backwards is the decoration system. Splitting decorations into weapon-only (offensive) and armor-only (defensive) slots sounds like it should encourage build variety, but in practice it does the opposite. It makes min-maxing far more restrictive and limits player creativity. In World, you could fine-tune your build however you wanted depending on the slots your armor provided. In Wilds, the game decides where entire categories of skills are allowed to go, making builds feel more rigid and less rewarding to optimize. One of the most satisfying parts of Monster Hunter: World was being able to squeezing every last bit of efficiency out of a build.
The new Wound system only makes this worse. While it's satisfying the first few times, it quickly becomes repetitive as monsters spend huge portions of hunts staggered or knocked down. Rather than learning a monster's moveset, you're often just waiting to pop the next wound and continue the chain of free damage.
Then there's the atmosphere.
Monster Hunter: World had Astera and later Seliana—hubs full of personality that felt alive. NPCs had memorable dialogue, quest descriptions added personality, and the world itself encouraged you to slow down and appreciate it. \n\n\t\t\t\tAs someone who has spent a few thousand of hours in Monster Hunter: World, Monster Hunter Wilds feels less like an evolution and more like a regression.
The biggest difference is that World respected the hunt. You had to learn maps, track monsters, pay attention to footprints and environmental clues, and gradually master each locale. In Wilds, your Seikret automatically takes you wherever you need to go, monsters are immediately marked, and gathering materials is reduced to scrolling through a menu and pressing a button while riding. Exploration has become little more than a loading screen you can control.
Combat has undergone a similar simplification. World rewarded positioning, commitment, and knowing when to attack or back off. Every swing mattered because overcommitting could get you punished. In Wilds, attacks are far more forgiving, weapons can correct their direction mid-combo, and perfect guard trivialize attacks that previously required proper preparation or skill investment. It feels like the game constantly tries to save you from making mistakes instead of asking you to improve. Additionally the Seikret also ends up feeling like a safety net rather than a meaningful gameplay mechanic. Being able to instantly mount up and ride away from danger makes avoiding attacks far too simple in a hunt.
Another step backwards is the decoration system. Splitting decorations into weapon-only (offensive) and armor-only (defensive) slots sounds like it should encourage build variety, but in practice it does the opposite. It makes min-maxing far more restrictive and limits player creativity. In World, you could fine-tune your build however you wanted depending on the slots your armor provided. In Wilds, the game decides where entire categories of skills are allowed to go, making builds feel more rigid and less rewarding to optimize. One of the most satisfying parts of Monster Hunter: World was being able to squeezing every last bit of efficiency out of a build.
The new Wound system only makes this worse. While it's satisfying the first few times, it quickly becomes repetitive as monsters spend huge portions of hunts staggered or knocked down. Rather than learning a monster's moveset, you're often just waiting to pop the next wound and continue the chain of free damage.
Then there's the atmosphere.
Monster Hunter: World had Astera and later Seliana—hubs full of personality that felt alive. They didn't make the game easier, they made it more accessible to newcomers, especially casual players. It is true that there are aspects that are cons to this game like the seikret (uber mount) and removing the tracking but that's pretty much it.
You don't see people saying that our character FINALLY has personality btw, that they talk now and actually make conversation with the NPCs who are more fleshed out now too. Everything is made for OPTIONAL convenience. You can still grind and farm for mats without having the game spoon feeding it to you. It's true that it had a rough start, but it's in a really good place now. MH Wilds is a really good game, has amazing design, fashion and customization, and mechanics. It has ups and downs but each gen had their own too.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

This game irked me and felt wrong from the very beginning.
The boring story. At first I thought it was translation but it felt just as bad no matter if I played it in English/Spanish/polish/Japanese.
Characters. Erik and his distracting lip filler looking duck lips. The whiny 12, year old Nata.
Massive non memorable map layouts that u just pass though on your Uber mount.(Takes you automatically everywhere). You can walk but it's not efficient since theyr scaled the map with the mounts in mind.
90% of the game felt brain-dead easy. Fights on average are shorter, and with the wound system monsters often lay down more than they stand. You can go through most of the game without paying attention to the elements/charms/debuffs/. Just craft weapon with best stats, armour with best stats, and no need to think.
Then suddenly at the end it's like they wake up to the fact that there's no much challenge and add a few harder monsters. The difficulty jumps feels jarring too, it's like the game fails to prepare you.
Monsters look nice, however fights against them left less of a memorable impression on me than those in world.
Character creation is much better too.
Weapons/Armours looked great.
Graphically it's overall much better than world/rise.
The ability to carry 2 weapons is another thing that I liked.
But overall this game felt like whatever hardship/annoyance there was, has been removed, smooth experience without friction. It certainly was made with casuals in mind. The difficulty was equivalent of playing MH world with defender gear on. No tracking, monster is visible right away, gathering is much easier too. Right away they allow the usage of AI hunters to aid you. This game is one step away from playing itself.

Even though the game has always had optimization issues that made my PC struggle, and despite the muddy graphics, I continued to support it because I genuinely enjoyed the game. I never left a negative review because I believed in what the developers were building.
That's why the new Gold Edition feels like a slap in the face to early supporters. New players can now buy the base game and all the DLC for a much better price, while those of us who supported the game from day one paid full price for the game and the DLC over time.
What's even more disappointing is that there are no meaningful loyalty discounts for existing owners. Even after already owning the Premium Deluxe Edition and purchasing some of the DLC separately, we'd still have to pay almost full price to get everything included in the Gold Edition.
Loyal players who supported the game from the beginning should be rewarded, not end up paying the most for the least value.

The performance STILL sucks with higher end equipment regardless of their "fixes," and the monsters are just not interesting to fight at all because of how trivial they are.

With NO option to upgrade or what Steam usually does, deduct the bundle price if you already own stuff, nope, they expect early supporters to pay up full price again or spend 400+ €/$/insert your currency on every DLC individually. Cool, very cool Capcom....

- Must play if you're a Granblue Fantasy: Relink enjoyer such as myself

If you buy a game for full price on release, the game will go on sale eventually, and people will get it for less money, that is obvious. HOWEVER, if you pay, like I did, 90€ for a DELUXE edition , you are supposed to get something for supporting the devs early on. Every other game treats the early buyers, specially collectors and deluxe edition buyers with a bit of care.
After paying 90€, even with a TON of people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the game for its awful and unforgivable performance, I never stopped playing, I even got a couple friends that weren't sure if it was worth it to buy it. I always trusted the devs and even spent 10-20€ or so on DLC.
After this, finally they lower the price of the game, good move IMO, BUT they also release a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ edition for 60€ that includes every DLC on the game, including what I got for the deluxe edition?????? So basically I get nothing for my "deluxe" edition, and newer people get everything for less money. This has convinced me to never buy a deluxe edition for a capcom game, and will never buy any more DLC. Actually disappointed, pretty sad to see tbh.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I really want Capcom to take a step back and think about the direction they're taking the series. Monster Hunter Wilds wears the clothes of a Monster Hunter game, but it lacks so much of what made World and Rise so enjoyable.
Here are my biggest issues:
1. The open-world direction doesn't add much. Monster Hunter doesn't need to become more open-world. It didn't improve my experience in any meaningful way and mostly felt unnecessary.
2. The base-game monster roster is underwhelming. There are too few monsters, and Rey Dau and Arkveld were the only two that really stood out to me. The rest were mostly forgettable. (This is only referring to the base game, not the DLC monsters.)
3. The endgame had a lot of wasted potential. The story introduced interesting ideas with the Frenzy Virus and the Dragontorch (Wyvern Milk), and it felt like they were setting up something meaningful for the endgame. Instead, those ideas were introduced and then barely explored afterward, which made the whole setup feel wasted.
As for the title updates, they definitely improved my opinion of the game. Updates 1 and 2 were fine but nothing special. However, Updates 3 and 4—especially the Omega and Gogmazios content—were genuinely excellent and reminded me of what I love about Monster Hunter.
In the end, though, Monster Hunter Wilds is still a disappointment to me. I hope Capcom remembers what made this series so beloved over the years instead of chasing trends that don't improve the core experience. That's ultimately why I'm leaving a negative review.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

2. The base-game monster roster is underwhelming. There are too few monsters, and Rey Dau and Arkveld were the only two that really stood out to me. The rest were mostly forgettable. (This is only referring to the base game, not the DLC monsters.)
3. The endgame had a lot of wasted potential. The story introduced interesting ideas with the Frenzy Virus and the Dragontorch (Wyvern Milk), and it felt like they were setting up something meaningful for the endgame. Instead, those ideas were introduced and then barely explored afterward, which made the whole setup feel wasted.
As for the title updates, they definitely improved my opinion of the game. Updates 1 and 2 were fine but nothing special. However, Updates 3 and 4—especially the Omega and Gogmazios content—were genuinely excellent and reminded me of what I love about Monster Hunter.
In the end, though, Monster Hunter Wilds is still a disappointment to me. I hope Capcom remembers what made this series so beloved over the years instead of chasing trends that don't improve the core experience. That's ultimately why I'm leaving a negative review.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
