Shapez 2 is a factory builder - one of the simpler ones out there. But that doesn't mean it's a no-brainer. There are SO many shapes to make, and you have to make hundreds, if not thousands. To me, the real difficulty is the logistics and scaling things up, as there isn't much space.
The world you are given is essentially infinite, and sometimes it's more worth to go out and look for better suited asteroids for the shape that you're creating, rather than trying to congest everything into small space.
You can make blueprints to speed up the building process if you're lazy like me. (or you don't remember the setup)

Shapez 2 looked like the kind of game I could be interested in because it has these characteristics : you have to plan and try to build something that is not a mess (or you could, there is no punishment for that, but it’s ugly). Unfortunately after 10 hours, I don’t think this is my kind of game. This is not a dopamine-inducing game, there was no reward for playing well (contrary to what I expected from my experience with tactical games). Other people may enjoy this game : it’s streamlined, polished, and simple to build. As for me, I can't recommend this game.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

As a factory game enjoyer, what's missing for me personally is the concept of an expanding factory. The game itself kinda wants you to delete previous "factories" in order to make room for new ones. You often don't need previous steps or "pre-production of certain goods", but are rather redo-ing everything from scratch.
Maybe this is on me and I'm just stupid, and it gets there later on, but as it stands, I don't vibe with it enough to continue playing.

There is basically no problem solving, contemplation or planning to be done. You get requirements, look at them and immedietly know what to do and which way. Then you just do it. How is very restrictive. There is the ideal way and everything else is stupid.
I can accept the fact that this whole process is purely abstract. It doesn't need context or purpose. The dialog however seems to be in conflict over this and that creates dissonance for the greater whole. The way I see it is this: Either there is meaning, or there isn't. Subscribe to one. Or you make it a point by clearly signaling that you are very much aware of how pointless this is. Those are the stategies I can see how to handle this and I don't think they committed to either one.

The first hour or two felt good and interesting with new mechanics and different challenges. After the initial few milestones the game became kind of repetitive. I kept playing in hopes it would scratch the same itch as the first game, but it didn't come to that.

I have adhd and autism and this gives me a nice place to shove stuff together with far less care for material requirements than factorio (nor having to deal with enemies). I have yet to reach the manufacture mode or the later difficulties of regular mode (though I am playing with the challenge rules enabled). I like making and organizing buildings and blueprints so I can slap them down later, figuring out all the quirks of what is being made and transporting stuff around.
I am at the stage where I am creating a Make Anything Machine (MAM) and its a huge test of my skills Ive developed which are not the best! I am trying though! And I think this game might push me to learn circuit logic and maybe even some basic methods and set-ups for them. Very cool game.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I get that this helps the main stream dumb dumbs, but for people who like to sit and calculate ratios and plan out and adjust blueprints this sucks. Its not even worth playing anymore. Being able to build without resources, while still remaining challenging. It's a beautiful balance. You get to focus more on the puzzle and build mechanics.
