\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tan excellent game about making shapes. highly recommend to anyone that enjoys automation and logistics games. some thoughts in no particular order:
\n\n\t\t\t\t- the game was extremely demanding with RAM. i had to actively watch my usage during playthroughs with very high machine counts (2-3 million) because it would get very close to my max. the game was very stable otherwise.
- the visuals are very satisfying. i really enjoyed watching the shapes getting manipulated through my factories.
- regarding difficulty, all of the modes felt fine. the only challenging part, almost frustratingly so, were Milestones 7 & 8 on Classic - Insane.
- i didn't really care for Manufacture mode. it felt too restrictive.
- Hexagonal mode was pretty interesting, however, it's very short. i didn't have much trouble adapting my blueprints, so i got through it in significantly less time than the other modes .
- the addition of trains and multiple levels are very cool features that made the overall gameplay much more enjoyable over the first game
- creating the MAM again was fun, but having already done it in the first game, it wasn't much different process wise. crystals and 5 levels were about the only difference but it was still fun doing it in a whole new environment. i didn't attempt to create a MAM for the Hex mode, though.
- there was only 1 achievement that was annoying, A Space Odyssey. it has to be done in Manufacture mode. i just let the game run for several hours waiting for the counter to fill up.

As I progress in the game, I'll come up with better blueprints, but to upgrade my existing base, I'll have to manually demolish everything and build them again. It's quite a big hurdle before I can tech into robots that can make this much easier. So, I often find myself getting burned out before I become "powerful" enough so that re-building becomes trivial, and I'll lose motivation to continue.

It's pretty much a big "creative sandbox" that boils a "factory game" to its very core: figuring out mini-puzzles of using a set of machines to complete recipes, plus managing the logistics.

You plug parts of the factory together like building blocks. It's fun for a bit, but not fun enough for the asking price. In the 10 hours I played I've not yet seen all the mechanics of the game, but I really can't bring myself to play it any further. I have adhd and autism and this gives me a nice place to shove stuff together with far less care for material requirements than factorio (nor having to deal with enemies). I have yet to reach the manufacture mode or the later difficulties of regular mode (though I am playing with the challenge rules enabled). I like making and organizing buildings and blueprints so I can slap them down later, figuring out all the quirks of what is being made and transporting stuff around.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I played pre v1.0 and enjoyed a lot. Then decided to come back after v1.0.
As far as I remember, there was no stutter nor anything prior to the v1.0. But at the game's current state, it stutters a lot. Every 10 seconds, I'm experiencing a freeze. Maybe it's because of my system. IDK.
Tested on both highest and lowest graphic settings. Both high FPS, both same freezes.

Almost every placement - I have to give special credit to the conveyor/pipes system - seems to understand exactly what you're trying to get at. It makes spaghetti feel intuitive.
