Fun in the same way a malfunctioning carnival ride is fun — you’re screaming, you’re laughing, you’re not sure if you’re safe, but you stay on anyway.

I didn’t mind the campaign.
But half of it felt like Treyarch accidentally turned the storyboard into a psychedelic art project.
I’m trying to shoot enemies and suddenly I’m on a full LSD trip — colours melting, walls breathing, characters talking like they’re trapped in a fever dream.
It’s also short.
Like “I sat down to play and suddenly the credits rolled” short.
Zombies
I mostly played the campaign side of Zombies.
It wasn’t bad — just not the highlight.
It felt like Treyarch said “We’ll fix this later” and then forgot.
Microtransactions
Excessive.
Every menu feels like a shopping mall.
Every skin costs more than my actual clothes.
Every time I open the store I feel like Activision is trying to sell me my own soul.
Black Ops 7
BO7 is better — but still broken in ways that make me question the entire franchise.
End‑Game Mode (Story Continuation)
End‑Game is not Zombies.
It’s a separate mode, meant to continue the story.
Except the story isn’t really there.
It’s basically:
“Here’s some missions. Go shoot things. Don’t ask questions.”
But the gameplay loop?
Not bad.
Actually kind of fun.
Simple, repeatable, and scratches that “just one more run” itch.
Zombies
Zombies itself is fine.
The real issue is the Relics system.
The Relics system feels like it was designed by:
• a cryptographer
• a tax accountant
• and a demon
working together to make sure you never understand how progression works.
Trying to get relics feels like doing paperwork in hell.
Multiplayer
There is only one mode that is consistently populated:
Nuketown.
That’s it.
The entire multiplayer experience is basically a 24/7 Nuketown addiction simulator with people bunny‑hopping like their chairs are on fire.
Network issues?
Still here.
Still awful.
Still the same ones we’ve had since BO2.
Lag spikes, rubber‑banding, packet loss — the holy trinity of Call of Duty suffering.
Microtransactions (Again)
Same problem as BO6.
Everything is monetised.
Everything is overpriced.
Everything feels like Activision is trying to see how far they can push players before someone snaps and throws their PC into the ocean.
The Part I’m Sick Of
I’m sick of paying full price for a game that could just be a DLC at this point.
Every year it’s the same formula:
5 seasons → new game → repeat.
The life‑span of each game is so short that buying cosmetics is pointless unless you play Warzone.
And Warzone sucks too.
Activision should just make ONE Call of Duty and update it.
Add story expansions.
Add new campaigns.
Add new Zombies maps.
Add new multiplayer content.
Stop pretending every yearly release is a brand‑new game when half of it is recycled assets and the other half is a store page.
This yearly release cycle is cooked.
It’s outdated.
It’s anti‑consumer.
And it’s the reason cosmetics feel worthless the moment the next game drops.

Imagine using a weapon you actually like — or simply using the weapons you have access to when you’re a new player — only to realize that you’re expected to grind endlessly for attachments, skins, and even Prestige.
I’ll admit this is the first Call of Duty I’ve played, and I actually had a lot of fun during the early stages. But the more I played, the more I realized just how excessive the grinding is.
You spend hours grinding to unlock weapons and attachments, only to get destroyed by some new event or Game Pass weapon that is immediately stronger or more competitive. Then you’re expected to grind all over again just to stay competitive.
This honestly feels like toxic monetization. The base game already costs a lot, and yet there’s a new Call of Duty every year, while the game constantly pushes players toward additional paid content.
I genuinely can’t imagine what the experience is like for a completely new player. You have to grind through the early game, unlock the weapons, unlock all their attachments, learn the game, and somehow compete against players who already have everything unlocked.
I don’t mind grinding. Unlocking things and working toward progression can be fun. But this is way beyond that. The progression feels deliberately slow rather than rewarding.
**My suggestion:** at the very least, double the XP gain and make that the standard progression speed. Players should be able to experiment with different weapons and actually play the game instead of spending most of their time grinding unlocks.
I enjoyed BO7 at first, but the progression system has made the multiplayer experience incredibly frustrating.

\n\n\t\t\t\tImagine using a weapon you actually like — or simply using the weapons you have access to when you’re a new player — only to realize that you’re expected to grind endlessly for attachments, skins, and even Prestige.
I’ll admit this is the first Call of Duty I’ve played, and I actually had a lot of fun during the early stages. But the more I played, the more I realized just how excessive the grinding is.
You spend hours grinding to unlock weapons and attachments, only to get destroyed by some new event or Game Pass weapon that is immediately stronger or more competitive. Then you’re expected to grind all over again just to stay competitive.
This honestly feels like toxic monetization. The base game already costs a lot, and yet there’s a new Call of Duty every year, while the game constantly pushes players toward additional paid content.
I genuinely can’t imagine what the experience is like for a completely new player. You have to grind through the early game, unlock the weapons, unlock all their attachments, learn the game, and somehow compete against players who already have everything unlocked.
I don’t mind grinding. Unlocking things and working toward progression can be fun. But this is way beyond that. The progression feels deliberately slow rather than rewarding.
**My suggestion:** at the very least, double the XP gain and make that the standard progression speed. Players should be able to experiment with different weapons and actually play the game instead of spending most of their time grinding unlocks.
I enjoyed BO7 at first, but the progression system has made the multiplayer experience incredibly frustrating.

I don't know if the developers just don't care, or if they just don't have the capability to stop them. Either way, it makes the gaming experience bipolar, one game sometimes two in a row will be fun and competitive, then next game you will absolutely annihilated by the same player 4 times in a row, even though you respawn literally on the other side of the map. They can see through walls, never miss a single bullet, and move like their character is the flash.
Do not waste your time or money, unless you are also a cheater, or you're willing to accept that the developers will never do anything about the rampant cheating problem, and gave you a "report " button only so you have an outlet for your well justified frustration.

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\ti dont make review very often, but if a game infuriates me enough...well its criticism well deserved becuase im pretty patient and put up with a lot.
reskin of a reskin. I've only seen the quality a game franchise drop like a rock. the netcode is garbage. It cannot support the ttk or the gun muzzle velocity. you get killed by super bullets...like 6 bullets compressed into 1. a garage modder could do a better job than the so called 800 employees and a billion dollar company can. Happy to report the shop works great and they pump skins out like crazy. shows where their priorties lie. i have more than enough PC specs to crank the settings to high-ultra...but instead i have to throttle and nerf it to simulate a console, becuase thats apparently their ONLY target audience. i thought Battlefield 6 netcode was bad....this is an order of magnitude worse. no amount of restarting shaders(memory leak i presume), configuration of router or ..CHANGING MY ISP PROVIDER...will fix this level of incompetence. although on the rare occasion when I dont have packet burst, legendary levels of rare, i presume its when they juice their servers during double exp events, its actually fun. But its consistently a miserable experience. Personally i hope the chinese companies give this industry a wake up call...its what they deserve. No AI slop compares to this sloppy product's design.
