\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tThis game is a monument to how something like terraria otherworld, or any sandbox rpg incorporating traditional rpg elements would be lacking if done without taking actual risks, I personally felt nothing seeing these weak skill trees and their minimalist benefits, all it does is serve to limit you into a class, I played summoner which frankly feels like an afterthought of a class, ALL your drops are percentage based chances from foes, if youre lucky your tier of progression will have a slime boss that gives you a workable means to grind out an armour set, but all the weapons and frankly the fact that minions even have a limited lifespan with high mana costs that are unfeasible until corrupt warden or whatever it was called armour is BAFFLING, mage and summoner have felt totally lacking in choice and options, I got the rune song for curiosity and with nothing boosting my melee stats it outperformed my 6 summons, and had better range and versatility, while being easier to get and actually sorta fun to get the parts for, its ridiculous how a weapon like that can exist in a game with say "tome of decay".\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

This game is so fun to explore, I really loved all the different boss fights they bring a different challenge to each one. I love that you can get a ton of buffs stacked before a fight. It's so fun to find a new biome or animal. The different areas were challenging but not punishing. YOU CAN HAVE PETS! There's farming, cooking and fishing. You can get a ton of neat collectible items to decorate your base. YOU CAN REPLACE THE FLOORS WITH SPARKLY CRYSTALS!!! You can do damage with melee, ranged, magic, and summoners. There’s also a lot more content here than my playtime might suggest. I originally played it with a friend, but he eventually lost interest and we never really picked it back up. Since I didn’t feel like continuing alone, I ended up dropping it as well.
That being said, I definitely enjoyed the time I spent with it, and there was still plenty left for us to discover. The game has also received quite a few updates since then, so there’s probably even more to come back to now.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

the early game was amazing, and it made me so excited to see more! the art is beautiful, i kept getting cool new weapons with abilities and it felt super engaging, the enemies were neat and first three bosses were really cool! but all of the things in this game are cool.. during the first 2-3 hours. then it just becomes a sort of slog. i wore the same armor and used the same weapons for a solid 90% of my playtime, and i never saw anything worth switching to
every crafting table upgrade and new workstation i thought "maybe this is it, maybe this is where the game opens up!" and it just never did
all it presents you are armor sets and weapons you get for existing in an area with pots and weapons, or kind of really bad armor sets and weapons you can craft with your ore
nothing really dropped much, there were no unique things to craft, and i got the same flavor of things over and over from each ore and workbench
it feels like there's just a lot of things this game starts and never follows up on
it gives you active trinkets and then adds two unique types being dashes and a block, which you then get boring upgrades for as time goes on
it gives you classes and skill trees which it then doesn't add on any more then every once in a while "oh yeah, i can upgrade a skill, cool"
it gives you new workstations and craftable gear and doesn't really worry about making them fun or unique or hell, even good
i was so prepared to love this game, for it to beat out similar games like terraria and necesse for me, but the way this game is going it just doesn't have enough variety for me
you get around 18 things to craft per new workbench, and only 1/3 of it is gear, and only maybe 2% of that is actually fun
anvils are more of the same, just armor sets, weapons for 2/4 classes, and maybe a shield if the game wants to give you a treat
