1. The pay structure is absurd - extra characters should not cost $20. You have to pay well over $100 to get access to all the characters. Maybe $5 each for new characters, but even at that cost, it adds up and is a bit ridiculous.
2. Constant lag when navigating fights and events - FIX YOUR SERVERS. What is all the money being spent on? Certainly not on stability.
3. Balance. Some characters are just far too overpowered with only a couple items synergizing. When you demolish 'mobs' that are 5 levels above you and can't even make a dent on a 'human' opponent - that's just stupid and deflating.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

As someone who plays much more frequently on a handhled pc, it is one of best time killer games that you can probably play. One of the few reasons as to why I love the game is the totality of rng included. The amount of synergy within the items that you can do is massive.
I do understand as to why the game gets so much hate which is due to the monetization.
In grabbing the game, you get to play with the three basic heroes while the others are ONLY obtainable via real currency is just beyond diabolic, not to mention per characters is $20 which is EQUAL to the price of the base game itself.
Is the characters worth it for the price similar to the game value itself? Probably, as you get dozens to hundreds of hours playing synergies within that character. But sure, one could definitely argue that it shouldn't be as equal to the price of the game.

The game itself is good, but the removal of earning characters for free was a big miss for me that hurts more with each big update since, even if they increased the price in free currency it would be fine but it's 16€ (20$ USD) per additional character. It's a beautiful game with beautiful art and animations. And the gameplay is a breeze of fresh air, new and fun mechanics in the asynchronous autobattler scene.
Now to the controversial part;
I remember Reynad promised there will be no microtransactions and pay to win aspects, and for the most part he stood by his word (minus the season pass incident). But I'm not sure how to feel about new hero packs. They simply can't go on releasing new heroes forever, it has to stop somewhere. And when it stops I'm afraid they will be selling cards for money. I really hope my fears wont come true and the game stays beautiful.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

It's fun - like addictive levels of fun. Each character has multiple different viable builds and requires a lot of forward thinking and knowledge of how each card works in a specific build. This makes each run feel fresh and new, even if you play a build you have before, as the shops/encounters in each day are all RNG.
As for the pricing, you get three free characters and the DLC characters aren't by any means 'overpowered' or 'P2W'. They offer new playstyles and new strategies to win, but they aren't blowing the free characters out of the water.
If you like deck building or auto battler games, give the demo a shot and see if it's for you. Personally, I think it's well worth the price tag of the base game at the very least.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Since I've been playing, the developers have been attentive, with many updates. You start with 3 characters, but you can sink a LOT of time into just those.
People seem to have a gripe about the paid DLC characters, but the starters are amazing, fun with a lot of replayability.
Potentials cons:
