I played the paid itch.io version a while back, then,picked up the finished Steam version.
Pros:
The Artwork is hand-drawn and not A.I so that's a huge plus.
There are 40 tracks of OST to listen to as you play.
Dialog is above Bethesda standards and is decently written.
There are lots of quests and a decent bit of content.
Cons:
The Combat kinda sucks
Combat looks and feels stale; there's a lack of VFX and SFX during combat.
You just click on cards. And then there's a sound effect.
Enemies are static, and there's a lack of visual cues and eye candy.
No blood, no sound effects by enemies when you hit them, no animation, or any visual cue. Both your character and the enemy are static images during combat.
You can't edit your deck and are given a bunch of the same card, and there's little variation. Just hit the same basic attack and block for like 70% of combat.
ends up feeling stale and lacks replayability.
The H-Scenes
The H-Scenes are simple looping animations with a climax animation, and there's plenty of them.
However, the complete lack of sfx really holds back the H-scenes; it's just silent with the OST. No moans or anything, just silent.
The well-drawn artwork and animation are nice, but It's 2026, and the standards have risen much higher.
Other nsfw games like *The Arrogant Kaiju Princess and The Detective Servant 2023* and *Third Crisis 2024* have much better nsfw content, and as consumers, it's up to us to choose how we spend our time and money.
The stale combat and silent looping nsfw could be fixed with some updates, but the devs of Knightly Passions have moved on and have 2 new games with the same art style in progress, so It's unlikely they will update this game.
