\n\t\t\t\t\tI truly think this game will be remembered as a masterpiece - a faithful addition to the Hellraiser lore with a compelling story that keeps punching. Not only is the set design gorgeous, but certain cutscenes made me forget I wasn’t seeing actual actors in makeup. It manages to find so much beauty in its violence and horror that I’d often have to stop and just… absorb the scenery.

The characters are so well written too and the lore is fun to read without feeling tedious or like I need notes to understand what is happening. It’s a perfect balance of collectible documents and natural storytelling. Huge credit to all the voice actors too because they absolutely sold their roles.

We’re talking graphic, over the top gore in just about every way imaginable, and then some. If you’re on the fence about whether this kind of game is for you, I highly recommend trying the demo first!

That said, this game is a 9/10 for me. It has a great story, well designed map layouts, incredible atmosphere and visuals, and very good performance. The labyrinth visuals are one of my favorite parts of the game. It even runs really well with DLSS turned off, which is really rare these days for games.

The box. You opened it. They came. . . And thus began your twisted journey through hell and pleasure.

This nightmare is very faithful to original source material. I would say even so that they will step out of the boundaries and shows more of creativity and deepness of this world. Its dark, its bloody and body heavy touch. You will be stopped by sceneries that will drop your jaws on the floor. This game is not for the light of hearts.

I was a bit sceptical and worries about how they will manage to do gameplay loop and mechanics on this game but all my doubts were gone after just couple of minutes of gameplay. Developers knew what they were doing and thats the scary part. They nailed every aspect every corner every detail so good that this game acts to real. Good gameplay mechanics, very nice and meaty gore with melee weapons. Shooting gives that edge you need and crave for your freedom to escape. Just one more push to that last step.

Exploring the outer world is scary and pushing adrenaline fact. You will meet every cenobite. They will not leave you alone. They will push your nightmares to the limit. I don’t have praise enough for how detailed everything looked and how biting this experience was.

This is by far one of the greatest Horror franchises there is and forever will be. There are no other like Pinhead and cenobites. We should be grateful that this game exist and be praised to explore future nightmare sensations or pleasure which way you desire.

It might not be for everyone but if you're a fan of the hellraiser films then just buy it, you'll be glad you did. \n\t\t\t\t\tIf you are able to stomach the utterly grotesque and viscerally painful gore in this, it is easily a top tier candidate for survival horror on the level of Resident Evil 4, 7 & Village. An exquisite gaming experience. You will FEEL some of the scenes in this game. I can only describe this as Lust from Beyond themes & visuals meets Resident Evil 4 action horror. Great world design, sound design is solid, gunplay is good. If you are squeamish about mutilation, gore or sexual content, I would not recommend you jump into this. This is not a game that the average person can stomach. This is not a goad you into buying statement, there is some extremely intense scenes in this that have me questioning how this was legal.

I do feel the sexual/nudity themes are tame compared to Lust from Beyond as you can tell after the intro with a few shock scenes they do not go as hard with full nudity. This is still a rather unique game given the subject content and has me excited to see if there will be other actual solid games developed with sexual content vs just gooner slop. I would also advise if you have any issues with drug & alcohol addiction, this game will touch on those subjects and does it in a very forced way in certain segments. There is also many, many mentions of BDSM and explores many of the dynamics some may not be used to. It was nice seeing a game like this understanding the importance of communication, consent and safe words even in such a brutal game. I enjoyed the narrative designs with these as it felt like the game understood you are an adult and treated you accordingly vs babying and downplaying the reality of things.

No native HDR implementation but there is a high contrast mode that achieves pure blacks on OLED at 2.0 gamma. Technical performance was essentially flawless outside of very few traversal stutters (lol UE 5). I do not believe I encountered any bugs either. Difficulty curve on normal was great for my particular gameplay style but could see even the second hardest difficulty being soul crushing for most.

Do not sleep on this if you think you can stomach it, especially for spooky season. Try the demo as well. It will let you continue from where it cuts off about 2 hours in.\t\t\t\t\t

9/10 Game
I am a fan of Hellraiser but not an obsessive. I didn't even know most Cenobites were once human until recently.
The game stays true to the limited lore and characters I know, and has a similar visual representation to the films. Including gore and nudity, this is a NSFW or kids game.
The game feels hard on normal mode, but in a good, I need to be careful way. However, strategic saving can avoid over repeating certain areas, which you lose on harder difficulties. The weapons and powers are already varied and I have only just started unlocking stuff.
The character you play is a classic anti-hero, and so is his partner, whom you are trying to save. But I did find myself caring about them, given their lot in life. The cult you fight against are traditional villains for the franchise, trying to use the Leviathan for their own ends, which we all know will backfire. Several famous Cenobites are featured, and they convey the same terror you would get from the show.
It's not a perfect game, but I feel Clive Barker would be happy with it based on his vision, and true fans won't be disappointed.\t\t\t\t\t
