I figured, we probably have to chill here for 5 minutes and get the next key figurine. So we sat there. He in the chair and I on the couch and we talked about parenthood.

\n\t\t\t\t\tI’m 30 now, and by a lucky coincidence I managed to get a group of friends back together — people I used to hang out with when we were teenagers. A lot of time has passed since then. Life scattered us in different directions, and now everyone has their own life and their own responsibilities. But here, for a little while, we managed to be together again. And, more importantly, to realize that somewhere inside, we’re still the same teenagers we were back then.

The game is finished now. The experience has been had, and I know perfectly well that it can’t be repeated. You can start over, walk the same paths and solve the same puzzles again, but you can’t get that feeling of discovery back. You can’t face the unknown for the first time again, come up with theories together, argue, make mistakes, suddenly find the answer, and share that moment with your friends.

Long before we reached the end, I already had no doubt that this was the best gaming experience I’ve ever had in my life.

There’s an almost indescribable feeling of genuine discovery here. That moment when, after thinking about something for a long time, a light suddenly goes on in your head and everything finally clicks into place. There are completely unpredictable situations that happen in the middle of a slow, peaceful walk and within seconds turn into stories that your whole group will keep talking about for a long time afterward.

The game constantly finds ways to surprise you. With every new puzzle, you start thinking that you’ve finally understood its language, figured out its rules, and have a pretty good idea of what to expect next. Then it turns everything upside down, and you realize all over again that you know absolutely nothing about this world.

Maybe that’s why it’s so hard to accept the ending.

Every mystery on the island has been solved. Every place has been explored. Every discovery has been made. And now you have to leave behind a world that, not long ago, still felt huge, mysterious, and boundless.

All good things come to an end. And perhaps the saddest part isn’t even that the game is over, but knowing that this exact experience — for the first time, and with these people — will never happen again.

it wasnt story about walking, but about importance of walking and sharing your big walk with someone who truly knows how to appreciate your step.

many gamers are used to diving into projects like this in big parties and named it as friendslop, but i feel that this game truly reveals its essence when played as a duo. its easy to lose sight of what matters in crowd, but when its just the two of you - Big Walk turned out to be not about puzzles, but about an amazing psychological experience. it was like mirror - it brings everything out: ability to listen, respect for others boundaries, understanding someone elses silence and trust without needing to say much. it can bring old fears and triggers, scare you with huge island, but in the end it can give you such an unforgettable sense of inner soft peace and tenderness thats i havent feel in games for many-many years.

but Big Walk wont entertain you if theres emptiness between us. thats why only if you go there with right and reliable person - someone with who you can playfully hugs to feel safe in scary tunnels, laugh by at shore at sunset and then simply allow yourselves to be silent together in mid of walk - this game will turn into healing and really grand big walk.

so if the game felt boring to you, maybe its not about the game, but about who you are playing it with.

Absolutely loved every minute of it, from the lovely ambience to the hundreds of ways to fool around or vibe with your friends. \n\t\t\t\t\tI know it sounds a bit soppy but this game was truly a special experience. Every step of the way it felt like it had been carefully designed to maximise opportunities to interact positively and meaningfully with your friends.

It manages to give every kind of person something to do - sometimes it’s ok to be a passenger princess and sometimes you need someone who will lock in on the puzzle, but either way everyone is included. The game does a great job teaching you how to solve increasingly intricate puzzles by introducing the mechanics to you a little bit at a time, so while some puzzles were harder than others I always felt like we had the tools to succeed. Equipment is dotted around the map in such a way that you’re never out of what you need for long and you have ways to find each other if you get lost. It kinda felt like being a kid again - exploring the map, finding shiny new toys, pressing buttons and letting your curiousity lead the way.

There is a lot of walking, as you’d imagine, but this was our opportunity to discuss what we were doing, catch up on gossip, roast each other and generally piss about. There are also some places deliberately set up so you can take a break and talk, which we almost always did, because the game was showing us that rushing to the end was not the goal.

Speaking of the end, it was absolutely perfect for the journey we had been on and actually made me kind of emotional, not gonna lie. We sat and watched the credits together and all we could talk about was how much we had enjoyed the whole thing. It was a super polished experience and the sound design in particular was amazingly immersive.

Thanks to the team for making a game like this! It’s not for everybody but for people who love their friends, and especially people like me who may not get to hang out with their friends as often anymore, it was a great experience.\t\t\t\t\t

This is one of the most remarkable co-op experiences I've ever had. Only one ever video game has ever brought me to tears, and that was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. This... honestly marked the second.

Big Walk is a game about all the love that you can't put into words for people you've met across the internet. It's a game about building memories and relationships with friends and strangers alike. Traversing and learning about an unknown island, conversing with one another and overcoming challenges in fun, creative and comedic ways. Each moment feels charming and unforgettable from start to finish and I genuinely can't think of another game that captures the heart the same way Big Walk does. The experience will stick with you long after the credits roll; and that, in my opinion, is what makes a great game.\t\t\t\t\t

Yet after going on a Big Walk I'm sat reflecting on our very nature as humans how and why we communicate. Overcoming puzzles with friends and creating your own methods to do so is a core part of this game. The Big Walk isn't for everyone, and I imagine people engage the game in very different ways. However, I couldn't recommend it more for friends who find the idea of cooperation through communication enticing. The game so naturally encourages socializing and it creates moments to peek inside the minds of those around you. You see how they think, how they react, and most importantly how you both interact. For as much as you can analyze each puzzle and the unique challenge it brings the beauty of Big Walk comes from it's premise. It's a "Big Walk" with some of your favorite people. It's not flashy, grandiose, or action packed. It's a game that asks you and your friends to take a walk in the forest together. Not friendslop.... friendgem I'm afraid.
