The premise of the game is that you bid on storage locker auctions and sell what you get. With enough money, you can buy your own pawn shops, which will allow you to sell the items for higher prices. Later, you can buy better houses to decorate or expand storage, and new vehicles to transport the items.
Good:
After buying a locker, you need to transport your items to the pawn shops to sell. In order to do so, you need to stack them into your truck. Part of the game is finding ways to stack as many items into your truck as possible without them falling over. If you like figuring out how to stack things as high as possible, this can be a fun part of the game. On the other hand, if you don't enjoy that, it could be a very frustrating part of the game or you may find yourself taking a lot of smaller trips that will reduce how much you can make each day.
If you like decorating, being able to buy new houses and decorate them with the items you win in the auctions can be rewarding. You can use every item other than the instant sell trash items to decorate your houses, both inside and outside. There are limitations, such as items only being placed on walls or only on the ground or on furniture and you can't align items perfectly with the walls.
There are a lot of items you can win in the auctions, which can keep you interested. You do tend to see a lot of repeats from the more common items, but you get enough new items to keep you coming back for more for quite a while. And the items generally look good (when fully repaired).
There are collectors around the map who you can donate certain items to in order to unlock cosmetics, get a free item that has a high value, and even another vehicle. Donating items means you're not making money on them, so you have to decide when it's worth it. Collector requests change weekly, so you need to decide whether keep the items until you can donate them or just sell them.
There are a variety of upgrades to your pawn shops to help you make more money and have more space. These upgrades are per shop and don't affect all shops.
So-so:
Auctions are kind of lacking when it comes down to it. There is no real value in changing how much you raise the bid price while bidding or how quickly or slowly you bid. The end result will be the same if you keep hitting the bid button repeatedly until winning the auction and can even be less than if you change the bid amount rather than bidding the minimum each time. It can be pretty each to see when the computer is set up to force the price over the value of the locker once you are far enough into the game to at least fix items to Normal or better quality. At lower difficulties, you're almost better off just winning every bid and accepting the occasional losses. The improved renown from winning can sometimes be worth the loss of money as it unlocks better tiers of lockers and other rewards.
Blind auctions (auctions where you can't see the contents) are a nice addition. The downside of them is that they really aren't much different from bidding on any regular locker. Yes, you can see inside the lockers, but often you won't see the better items so it often isn't really giving you a much better idea of what to bid if you are bidding on a normal locker or doing a blind auction. Also, blind auctions mostly only have small sized items, which can fill up your pawn shops limited space for small items and cause you to not have space for more items until things sell. Small and large items are the hardest to quickly sell until you have multiple pawn shops because they are the most commonly found items.
Bad:
There a "county fair" in the game where you can play games to earn tickets in order to unlock (buy) a small number of cosmetics and a variety of vehicles that won't be of any use transporting items from lockers to pawn shops. Having minigames is fine, but each attempt costs $250 and they are often very easy to either lose or only get a very small number of tickets unless you spend a lot of time practicing one or more of the games to get good enough to win regularly. But that either costs a lot of money or requires reloading your game over and over while practicing. I get the interest in being able to get some cosmetic items, but they aren't really all that exciting. And as I said, the vehicles might as well be cosmetic because you can't use them for anything except driving around, which isn't the purpose of the game. Many are cars and don't have room to stack much on them. I think they could have done this much better than they did.
The game has the ability to throw items instead of moving them around and setting them down. This can be fun when messing around, but is mostly useless. That wouldn't be a problem except it's not uncommon for it to switch to throwing mode when you try to set something down. When that happens, you send the object at high speed in the direction you're pointing and when that happens to be right at your stack of items that you spend time getting stacked just right and it causes the entire thing to fall over, it can be extremely frustrating. Even when it doesn't knock things over, having to run after something that is halfway across the parking lot isn't any fun either. Especially when you make money by going to auctions that have a set amount of time they are available and every second spent chasing things that were accidentally thrown or fixing fallen stacks of items because of things accidentally thrown costs you money. And they don't offer any settings to disable throwing items or to change the controls for throwing items. Throwing is done simply by holding the same button that you'd normally just click if you are setting something down. So if the game thinks you held it instead of clicked it, it's going to throw the item.
Running in the game is done by first walking and then hitting Shift to run (using the default key binding). You can't press Shift and then start walking or you'll just walk. This makes it very frustrating to try to run in the game. Half the time, you're walking instead of running.
There seems to be certain areas where you can place things on your truck that won't hold what's placed there. With the starter truck, you can place things on the roof and this can be a good place for chests. In most cases, you place it there and it'll stay when you drive away. But sometimes as soon as you start to drive away, it'll just slide right off for no apparent reason. I don't know if it's because it's placed just a little too far forward or rotated a certain way or something else, but it can be frustrating when stuff that all is staying perfectly stacked suddenly slides off for no reason.
The various items you find have very odd or perhaps random "weights" to them. For example, if you have a large, heavy desk and you bump it while carrying a pencil sharpener, you wouldn't expect the desk to move. However, there are many small items that shouldn't cause other larger things to move when bumped that will send those items flying. And there are things that should cause other things to move that do not. For example, you might have a statue that would be on a desk that's underneath a poster and trying to pick up the statue won't be possible because the poster is too heavy. I'm not sure how the different "weights" were chosen, but they really need to be looked at carefully for every single item in the game.
Summary:
Although there are things that aren't great or could use improvements, the game itself is actually fun to play. With a little extra work by the devs, it could really shine. It's a thrill to bid on the locker and wonder what you might have not seen in the locker when you won the auction. The blind auctions are the best when you bid $1200 and then the amount of worth jumps to $3300 when you find a legendary. If we could have more items, maybe some weather and seasons so it wasn't always sunny, the game would be perfection. Like weather could affect customers or who shows up to auctions.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

It definitely has its charm points- opening up storage lockers and seeing what's inside is pretty fun, there are plenty of secrets around the map to uncover, and generally speaking it's easy to see that a lot of effort went into the game. However it's also incredibly grindy, unbalanced, doesn't have much in the way of character upgrades, and the scale of the game world is perhaps a bit too bloated for its own good.
To start with the good: the game definitely scratches that 'lootbox' itch. Finding a small treasure tucked away in a corner of a storage unit, or opening a chest and finding a rare item, or even just finding something you haven't seen before feels good. There are also a ton of items to discover in this game, to the point where it feels like you'd have a hard time NOT seeing at least one new thing when you open up a given locker.
The game has a huge map, which is sort of a double-edged sword. The environments feel diverse enough for the most part, with a suburban area, a city area, a rural farm area and a costal area. There are lots of items hidden around the map that can be found and sold, and hunting for them can be fun even if actually selling them feels unbalanced at times. However, the hugeness of the map makes it tedious to engage with the core gameplay loop of going around and opening lockers and selling the things you get from them due to how spread out everything is. There's no fast travel system; you have to manually drive everywhere, whether that's between a storage locker and the nearest pawn shop (something that might take multiple trips depending on what you got) or between areas of the map. Driving also costs fuel, which will typically cost you about $40 if you're low.
That feeling of slogging around the map at a snail's pace is also represented heavily in your character's progression. You'll earn your first few upgrades quickly enough- unlocking the basic repair tools and the ability to verify uncommon items, as well as buying upgrades for your first pawn shop- but after that point the amount of money you require increases exponentially, while the money you earn doesn't. On normal mode it might take you multiple weeks of in-game time to earn one of those upgrades, let alone something like a new car or house.
I think the poorness of the upgrade system and how it meshes with the gameplay loop is best exemplified by the lockpicks. Buying the basic lockpicks costs $1500 and allows you to attempt to open the locked chests you can find in storage units. It's not a guaranteed thing, and failing actually increases the price of opening the chest at a locksmith from $15 to 20 for the basic chest. The math is really easy to see here: to pay off your basic, level one lockpicks you need to successfully open over a hundred chests with them, accounting for your failures which will increase the amount it takes to break even. However, you can purchase more advanced lockpicks that lower the chance of failure and also allows you to open better chests... though of course these more advanced lockpicks cost thousands of dollars more, meaning it'll now take you hundreds of storage lockers to break even on them.
Arguably breaking even isn't the point, but these lockpicks are one of the few non-shop related, non-car related upgrades you can get. In fact, there's only three. There's also one that allows you to 'identify' higher rarity items, and the last one allows you to repair items to get more money out of them. That's it. There's no way to increase your 'luck' with storage containers so that you find more high rarity items; there's no way to make it so NPC bidders give up faster when bidding; there's nothing else in terms of character upgrades. The only other thing like that is your reputation, which really only allows you the privilege of bidding on higher tier storage units and allows you to buy pawn shops and houses- and of course you need to do this on a per area basis for the suburb, the city (which is also split it into two halves so you need to do it twice there to boot), the farm and the coast...
The last major issue I had is the balancing on the items you can find around the map. Some of these items are basically just fun little easter eggs, netting you a rare-ish item and several hundred dollars if you decide to sell them. Others have a special rarity level, "Epic", meaning that only one of them exists in the game world. These can be sold for thousands of dollars; typically $1000-2000, but I've found at least one that can sell for nearly $10,000. The only disadvantage to selling these items is that you can only find one of them per save file, which means you lose out on using them to decorate your houses... but it takes so long to afford a house in the first place that you might as well sell them because they will make it easier to skip some of the tedious grinding you have to do!
Overall, I think this game has a lot of room for improvement and that it could go from middling to good with some extra attention towards its gameplay and balancing. At this point shrinking the map to make things less spread out isn't an option, but including QOL features like fast travel between areas (if nowhere else) could help with that. The reputation system could easily be turned into something that's more like a traditional leveling system, allowing for more upgrades like easier auctions or an increased chance of rare items to help with the razor-thin profit margins that currently exist.

In this sim game you basicly start with close to nothing and a dingy little truck. You build up your 'empire' one auction at a time. Buying low and selling high. The auction part and world around it are really well done for a small studio as this. I also like that you can upgrade your gear and cars, to improve driving time and profit per day. The selling part could have been a bit more interesting, basicly you are waiting x hours for a sale once you have your own pawn shop.
I had a blast the first 50 hours. Would have rated it more fun if the end game was more interesting. For the completionist amongst us, especially the last two achievements were a big grind (win 1000 auctions and 200 blind auctions added about 40 hours game time).
