When I tried to get it back, he blasted 2 of my crewmates and I through the doors while screaming slurs and boasting about how easy it was. I couldn't even properly report him because the game's report function is bugged.

But in its current state i just cant. goodluck trying to play the game unless youve already put 24+ hours of grinding your skill tree out. You WILL be obliterated with absolutley nothing you can do about it. if you play this, be prepared to get in a fight with another ship and put in 3X the amount of shots as them only for your ship to crumble under a quarter of the shots you've hit. the difference the quality of the gear makes is absolutley insane and the fact that there is nothing preventing people with dookie from getting into a game with people with force fields, orbital lasers out the ass and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ purple plasma cannons. Absolutley ridiculous.
Unless your fine with grinding the underside of your nutsack against lemon juice covered nails then dont bother getting this game in its current state.

I've never seen a cheater or clipped out of the map so I have no idea what those negative reviews are about - they make it seem like it's a plague, but literally not once for me. The first 48 hours after launch, I got kicked out of several raids, but never lost gear from it, just time; it sucks but isn't worth all the drama these 4 hour reviewers are making over it. I didn't get kicked from a single raid today, was able to load in within a minute of hitting ready, and had a damn good time even when I got my ass kicked.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

So to start off, this game was very refreshing and there's no other game out there that's unique like this, sure it has a lot of aspects that sea of thieves used but this is way different. It is somewhat similar to sea of thieves, the only difference really is that you can extract & you can design your own ship which is really fun to do. Now onto the positives and negatives:
The gunplay in this game is genuinely amazing, like I didn't expect it to be that good but it really is something special. It feels very similar to Hunt showdown, with how the guns shoot and your POV that you can choose between ADS or hip view. The cannons that you shoot as well are the most satisfying thing ever, especially with how good the audio is. It feels very immersive and it's really fun to get into PVP/PVE encounters. The music is honestly pretty hype to listen to, it's a bit goofy and repetitive but it does hit really good when you're in an intense situation.
Okay so the bugs are a huge problem, I get that the game is in Early Access, but this is clearly nowhere near to being finished. I wouldn't have mind waiting a few extra months, but releasing it in this state is not good. There's so many server issues as well, when I first played I ran into several problems where I would disconnect mid game or the game wouldn't even start but from other reviews I've read I haven't experienced it as bad as other people have. The movement is a bit janky, you get stuck really really often on your ship for instance, or even just terrain. The amount of times where I've gotten stuck and can't move which gets me killed is insane. It does really break the game when you're in a PVP situation and you get stuck on a shelf for instance whilst trying to traverse your trampler. Now onto the looting/AI, I think the AI is somewhat good in this game, the robots that you fight are really cool, the zombies though are a little bit weird tbh. They strafe a lot, even sometimes just running side to side and not doing anything at all besides that which is a little bit annoying to deal with sometimes. Okay this is the biggest complaint I have honestly which is to do with looting. It might be cause I am a solo player but I feel like the looting on this game drags really bad. Every expedition lasts 1-2 hours long and looting takes up a huge time of that, having to run back and fourth can get very boring fast, especially with how little you can carry in a box because of how much different items there are on this game. Even if I dedicate myself to looting all game extracting doesn't feel that satisfying, I feel like the progression is EXTREMELY slow. The most money I've gotten I think was around 2k, and I had been looting a lot that game, even the materials that I got, it barely gave me any progression. And to have the games last THAT long it can get draining especially if you die because you get 0 reward in the end which takes a lot of fun out of the game for me personally.
The framerate is quite decent on this game, my frames were pretty high but the game does stutter quite often, I didn't notice it as bad when I played yesterday after the patch update so idk if they optimized it a bit more or what. But it isn't a huge deal.
The last somewhat of a complaint that I have is the fighting with the ships like trying to destroy the reactor alone is the most miserable thing ever. You have to maneuverer between turning, driving and firing and repairing all at the same time. Which yeah of course I can understand cause I am a solo player so it's harder, and it's nothing to do with skill issue or anything cause I was doing pretty decent even with having to multitask that hard. But the issue why I bring this up is because I had a fight that lasted around 5-10mins, I was none stop hitting his ship, especially the reactor. I shot through so much ammo, and I still made 0 progress. I even got an achievement for dealing 50k damage in 1 expedition, that's how long and how much damage I did to this guys ship. And all he did was sit there, and spam repair which is just boring af. The repairing system is to easy, it takes out a lot of the fun that someone can sit there and spam repair and outheal the damage input that I am doing. He ended up in the end killing me on my cannon, which lead to him shooting my reactor a few times before I could spawn and I lost my trampler. After that encounter I genuinely was wondering why I even bother with doing PVP if the outcome will always be this way. And to sum it up with what I said, it is true that repairing is broken cause someone was fighting me and I sat there spam repairing and my ship never blew up. Even got an achievement again for repairing 40 times in 1 run, which actually was me sitting there none stop doing that the whole time.
I usually never leave reviews or even these lengthy one's but if the devs read this then I do hope you guys can fix most of the issues and balancing problems that the game has. I had a lot of fun, I really did... for the first 6 hours or so... I felt like I had experienced the game fully in the amount of playtime I had. It's sad, I do enjoy the game but I don't want to push myself through 1-2 hour raids just to get nothing in return from either dying or extracting loot that makes 0 contribution to my progression. I probably will come back to the game at some point, but for now I don't think I'm interested... I bought this game as well several days after release cause I was worried I wouldn't enjoy it since the reviews were 50/50 but I was proved wrong, the game is great but needs serious work. He started to scream at me about spanish speaking players and how they should not be on his server? Very strange community. Even more strange he seemed to be able to track me down in several single raids constantly ranting and raving about spanish speaking players. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tGame itself is pretty fun and a concept and I love the steampunk kinda nature of a lot of it, but it all gets ruined by the lack of proper matchmaking (in the sense that you will get sent into lobbies with people who basically havent ever stopped playing the game), Hackers, although i luckily am yet to encounter any, or constant server outages, while 2 of these aren't fully controlled by the devs, it puts a serious damper on the total fun that can be gotten out of the game, as of right now I would wait till they push the update to fix the hackers at least, which is sometime this week (17/07/26)

I understand it is still early access which is why I plan to follow this game's progression, but the longevity of it's player base will heavily depend on the dev team to keep updates consistent and on the right track.
* The hit reg in this game is absolutely atrocious, specifically the on foot weapons. I swear most of my shots never land or register, I tried it with a shotgun and even then it did nothing to them.
* There needs to be some way to recoup items for your storage without having to spend any. As it stands, if you lose everything in your storage such as guns, currency, parts, or ammo. There is no real way to get your character started again besides deleting your current character and creating a new one.
* The NPC enemies are buggy, we have had them turn invisible or straight up spawn under a poi before making them extremely dangerous since they are so accurate and unkillable.
* The biggest issue I think besides the hit reg issues is the audio. I am so used to games like Rust, SoT, Siege, etc where audio plays such a huge role in telling you what is happening around you. This one, there is no real spacial audio, it is all flat so something behind you might sound like it is in front. As well as there is no audio for the trampler, such as it telling you when it is more destroyed, someone is boarded, when your legs are broken, etc.

This game has a thing that other janky early access titles do not have - it makes you want to come back to it. I have yet to see a single negative review of it where the reviewer would not continue to play it for at least ten hours after encountering critical crashes, rampant cheaters, and other atrocities that surely should've made them quit long time ago.
Yes, it has some annoying bugs, that's true - but you quite literally see an early access game that just released. Before any wise guy will try telling me about server slams - I do not really care. Game development cycle has alpha, beta and a full release, and the early access state definitely is not the latter. It's quite ironic to see a person do a "I will continue playing the game, but will not recommend it before devs fix things" kind of review, effectively review-bombing a game that hasn't even properly released yet.
I can write about boundless potential. I can write about a unique genre combination. But, I will not. I'm pretty sure that if you're reading the reviews - you have already seen enough information to get you interested, and now are trying to decide if this game worth your time. It is. It's a first game in years that meda me feel like a kid again, actually wanting to return and play it again.
If you aren't scared by the moderate amount of early access jank you'll experience - try it out. It doesn't have an AAA price and I assure you, you will not be disappointed. If you want a polished experience - I recommend you to wait for a bit. The devs are actively fixing bugs right now, so I am pretty sure that really soon I will be able to say that gameplay is finally perfect.

I’ve played for 7.2 hours so far, and I’ve died at least 12 times to players running around with ridiculous purple plasma weapons while new players are stuck with trash starter gear. I managed to destroy ONE player the entire time. Every other fight felt completely unfair.
The game does absolutely nothing to help new players. There’s no proper balancing, no matchmaking, and no feeling of progression when you constantly get deleted by people who are already insanely overpowered after only a couple of days. It honestly feels like if you didn’t grind the game on day one, you’re already permanently behind.
The worst part is that the core idea of the game is actually really good. Giant moving bases, desert extraction gameplay, PvPvE combat — it sounds amazing on paper. But in reality, it just turns into experienced squads farming new players over and over again.
The servers and balancing also feel unfinished. Between the performance issues, unfair fights, and horrible beginner experience, the game quickly becomes frustrating instead of fun.

But aside from the server issues this game is excellent in so many ways. The combat, and core game mechanics are solid. With some bug fixes this game has amazing potential. You should definitely give it a try. Absolutely can be played solo, in fact that's where I have made most of my progression. I have found so many people that choose to be friendly and I have joined a couple friend groups just in the first few hours of playing this game. Proximity chat is hilarious.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

They let me spend 40 minutes collecting loot. Then they strip all my loot boxes empty, remove my food to deny me respawns, then teleport onto my ship and kill me.
