I felt like needs decayed too rapidly; some decreasing faster than others that I could never really find a set schedule to have meals, shower, or even sleep. Some days, I'd go to bed at 11 pm, other days, I'd go to bed at 3 am, and sometimes, I would sleep during the day. Some days I'd have breakfast and dinner, other days, all I ate was lunch, and other days, all I'd eat would be food from the carts.
Furniture would break randomly, and then most of the time, I'd have to go out and buy the items I need to fix them (Due to me not being able to get my hands on metal), making it beyond frustrating. High level furniture was super overpriced that the only real way for me to make money was to write multiple books. Getting money via the tasks was a pain, especially ones that would ask you to turn in specific paintings, which seemed to be RNG.
Going to college was a fun idea, but didn't work in practice, and by the time you graduated, the rewards didn't really match the amount of time and effort you put into it. The story itself was an interesting idea, but I think the new chapter 3 felt flat and by the time I was done, I was just, 'meh! /shrug'.
I also don't think this game is finished, just based on the fact that in the perks section, the level 10 ability STILL says 'coming soon', and the game just... lacks something to do outside of finishing the main story. Sure you can buy clothes and decorate your house, but the way to get money is so tedious that after 3 hours of finishing the main story, I just got bored and gave up.
If you're looking for something to scratch the Sims itch, I don't think this game will do it. I think the game does have a lot of charm and it does have some good ideas, but I would not consider this game a finished product.
Edit: So the recent 1.1 update put in careers and actually reduced the amount of money you need for furniture, but... I still stand by what I said and can't recommend the game.
Careers feel more like part time jobs, and are rabbit holes. You STILL make way more money publishing books. I had no real reason to grind out a part time job. You can change your schedule, but you have to wait a week to do so, you also only start out making 16.25 coins a hour, which is super low compared to writing a decent book, which you earn every day for 21 days. Also, you can only work 4 hours a day for 3 days, nice if my goal was a part time job, but sucks when I want a full time job. Also, why would I want to do a job when I can write and publish a book and make easy money that way?
While expansions now cost a lot less, furniture is still a bit pricey. I'm also afraid of breaking furniture and having to spend money buying parts, just due to the amount you need. I only played for a few days in game before I shut the game off again because I was just... bored. So I have no idea if furniture breaks more or less often, or if the parts needed to fix them were nerfed. Honestly, get rid of the items needed based on your crafting level would be an easy solution to the problem.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tI've played through the story, and I have a good amount of hours to give a useful review.
The game is like a mix of The Sims and Stardew Valley. It honestly reminds me a lot of weird The Sims 'ports' to handheld consoles that have nothing to do with The Sims. I am not saying that as a bad thing. You have direct control of the character, have attributes to level up, and run around Little London doing tasks while managing your needs. There is also a story, but I honestly didn't pay much attention to it.
There are a lot of issues with the game, I am not gonna lie. I feel like the economy within the game isn't great; at around the 20-hour mark, one activity made double my career income daily, and my house stayed un-upgraded for most of my playtime. The UI is often buggy and a bit clunky to navigate, and you need to get used to the controls; weirdly, there is a learning curve. There are bugged animations at times, and I lost some items because the inventory was full and I got task rewards.
The look of the game is up to personal taste; I can't really say if it is good or bad, as most of the time I don't really care about graphics. I could tell what everything was, which probably means it is good enough.
However, the game has a lot of charm. The characters range from good to insufferable. Which is a good mix. The game also scratches that task completion that Stardew Valley had, and it is very chill. The game doesn't put time limits on completing something. You aren't going to miss any content if you don't do something at a specific time. You have a bunch of collectibles that you fill the museum up with eventually. Maybe. There is absolutely an element where you plan on doing X, but on the way you get distracted and end up doing Y. And because there isn't a time pressure, it is fine.
Heads up: building and decorating is fun, but you may not afford it until late game; that's the economy issue in practice. At least, I only managed to start in my twentieth hour or so.

\n\n\t\t\t\tThe game is like a mix of The Sims and Stardew Valley. It honestly reminds me a lot of weird The Sims 'ports' to handheld consoles that have nothing to do with The Sims. I am not saying that as a bad thing. You have direct control of the character, have attributes to level up, and run around Little London doing tasks while managing your needs. There is also a story, but I honestly didn't pay much attention to it.
There are a lot of issues with the game, I am not gonna lie. I feel like the economy within the game isn't great; at around the 20-hour mark, one activity made double my career income daily, and my house stayed un-upgraded for most of my playtime. The UI is often buggy and a bit clunky to navigate, and you need to get used to the controls; weirdly, there is a learning curve. There are bugged animations at times, and I lost some items because the inventory was full and I got task rewards.
The look of the game is up to personal taste; I can't really say if it is good or bad, as most of the time I don't really care about graphics. I could tell what everything was, which probably means it is good enough.
However, the game has a lot of charm. The characters range from good to insufferable. Which is a good mix. The game also scratches that task completion that Stardew Valley had, and it is very chill. The game doesn't put time limits on completing something. You aren't going to miss any content if you don't do something at a specific time. You have a bunch of collectibles that you fill the museum up with eventually. Maybe. There is absolutely an element where you plan on doing X, but on the way you get distracted and end up doing Y. And because there isn't a time pressure, it is fine.
Heads up: building and decorating is fun, but you may not afford it until late game; that's the economy issue in practice. At least, I only managed to start in my twentieth hour or so.

The dating is a bit lackluster; you become best friends, and go on a few dates. Not a whole lotta gameplay there. It would be cool if you could start a family, or if characters reacted to the fact you're dating someone, but thats pretty nit-picky. The characters are delightfully fleshed out and realistic, the town feels real (as in the dialog is wonderful), and it's altogether a fun game to play! I will definitely be playing more to finish some other characters storys and to get more skills and stuff, but as of now, loved this game! Probably a solid 8/10\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
