The first thing you’ll notice upon starting the game is the great tone, the music and art are incredible. The soundtrack by Mili is haunting which will go from beautiful to the most anxiety inducing sounds.
The gameplay is amazing and will lead you to builds that fit your style and platforming sections that encroach on celeste quality. Defeated enemy spirits serve as your moveset leading to a very fun progression where the more bosses you defeat the more attacks and traversal abilities evolve.
While the story is rather esoteric (to be expected of the tone and genre) it has enough moments that genuinely pull at the heartstrings.

For metroidvania fans the map system actively tells you when a room has been fully cleared, this can be nice as it lets you avoid searching through areas that have nothing left for you but can also lead to exploration and a check list feeling.
Although I praised the art previously, the sentiment is heavily carried by the environment and spritework. The actual animation puppetting the art can make certain enemy attacks rather hard to read and some can even look rather ugly.

Some of the bosses are stinkers unfortunately with large HP pools and boring movesets, but most are good.
Although the interconnectivity of the map and its design are fantastic, fast travel is not.
The travel points are all very spread around the world and instead of letting you select them from the map you have to scroll through the list of all 34 sites, oftentimes in an order that feels disjointed.

In Ender Lilies case, it gives the best of both worlds through it's setting, protagonist, and gameplay!
Story wise, it does follow a lot of the same beats as most grimdark fairy tales, but thankfully it's all done nicely that's easy to follow even with all the lore. Lily's appearance greatly stands out brightly not just from a gameplay perspective, but from a story arc as well that does have proper reasoning outside of being a cute little girl. It's engaging enough to care about the fate of the land, especially for Lily and the "knights" at your command.
On that note, the gameplay itself is very solid too as with any great metroidvania, giving you many options for combat and exploration. Each main boss and spirit you free gives you abilities to explore the world, and prepare for the enemies ahead of you. It's so unique to have those same souls help you towards your journey, and they all have their own strengths, even if some may outshine others. With relics and a special power meter, you have a large number of strategies to better suit whatever comes your way!

You can walk in a straight line to get the first ending, you can explore a bit and find a heckish side area that'll make you tear your hair out for the second ending, or you can backtrack through the entire map twenty some-odd times, unlock every ability, collect every powerup, go slowly insane, lose a week of your life in a pretty red haze, and realize it was all worth it when you get the secret best ending.

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tEnder Lilies is a good game. Peak even. I definitely recommend it. Although the MC herself is a mute protagonist. The circumstances is that the MC are accompanied by spirits. They are the one that do the fighting for MC which feel kinda unique. It take place in post apocalyptic nation.
The music in this game were very beautiful, it carried such melancholic tone and so mesmerized that one would hang out even in dangerous zone just to listen to them. If the mc found herself submerged in water, the music also had mute effect, making it feel immersive. Sometime the music played in safe point, and it set a propriate mood for the coming journey. They were also sing by Mili. So the music really enhanced the atmosphere of the game.
When in a zone where music isn't available. The atmosphere of the game, along with the ambience noise will really make one feel alone. There are no friendly npc in this game. Everyone is an enemy.
The MC herself despite being mute, had her character sprite animated with good body language that she can conveyed her feeling without even speaking. Throughout the journey, one would really feel like they accompanied the MC throughout the game and watching her progression, especially when doing lore hunting through notes or environmental story telling.
The boss fight is ok. Each of them have good music as well. With each boss slain one would feel they get stronger and progressively better at the game.
The artstyle of the game is very nice, it's a beautiful aesthetic that mixed beauty and rot together that resulted in a melancholic arts with high detail to them. The atmosphere of a ruined kingdom, with MC alone being the only living person trudging through the dead kingdom really complimented the overall experience of the game.
Imo, I say its 9/10 for me as a new comer for 2d style game.

While I did find it enjoyable, there is a lot of stuff that makes it difficult to recommend.
The combat system gives a lot of freedom to the player, allowing to customize the entire skill deck for specific locations or boss fights, however, the impact from hitting enemies is pretty dull, which makes fighting overall unsatisfying. For the most part it seems like you´re bashing sacks of meshed potatoes instead of actual monsters.
A lot of enemies are designed in such a way that in most locations they blend in with their surroundings. It´s not a big problem gameplay-wise, but is does make the game look drab. A little more contrast between them and the background would be nice.
The map lacks details, which can make looking for missed collectibles infuriating. It could have at least shown what kind of items weren´t collected in the room (like in Nine Sols) to let the player know what to look for.
Lastly, the final boss, compared to other bosses in the game, is just lame. It is GIANT, which forces it to stay in one place throughout the entire fight, occasionally throwing easily dodgeable areal attacks (most of which can be evaded by staying in the air) and orbs. It would be perfectly fine as a regular boss, but definitely not the FINAL one. They could have made the arena bigger or the boss itself smaller to grant it more flexibility, but they decided to go with the boring option instead.
