An effortlessly charming adventure. If you're okay with the graphics (this was a slight issue for me with some eye strain encountered), then this is one of the easiest game recommendations I can make.
The biggest negative I can point to is the aforementioned eye strain. I really liked the graphics in this game and they absolutely enhanced the journey, but after some time I noticed I would get a headache if I continued to play the game. I normally do not have these issues in games (even playing purely 1-bit graphical games) so I'm not sure what did it this time.
Another slight negative is that the ambient noises are sometimes so numerous and repetitious that it becomes unpleasant. You can't even hear the excellent music when this occurs.
Those are really the only two negatives I can find in this game.

The devs are really dedicated and even gave us a free DLC (Basto) that expands the game with its biggest "world" yet. I definitely appreciated the extra content and it was of the same high quality as the rest of the game. I give the DLC my highest praise, especially for its price point!

The creativity that flowed into this game is astonishing and I love every detail of it. Really enjoyed TOEM!
As an achievement hunter, I was looking for something cozy and enjoyable to 100%, and TOEM delivered exactly that.
The art style is lovely, the music is beautiful, and I loved how relaxed the whole game felt. No rushing, no pressure — just exploring, taking pictures, helping characters and enjoying the world.
The 100% experience is also pretty much perfect. No missables, no annoying grind, just collectibles, quests, stamps and exploring everything the game has to offer.
TOEM probably won't make my list of favorite games ever, but honestly, it doesn't need to. It does exactly what it sets out to do, and it does it perfectly well.
