These devs were made aware that this is happening on multiple platforms before the game was even released and they've done nothing about it. Performance is awfull. Constant frame drops and stutters. Enemy sound cues are terrible, there is constant audio clutter, they use the same sound cues for enemy spawns, deaths and attacks(that is if they are even present). A lot of bosses have terrible modifiers that do not work with them, causing constant frametraps. Traversal is very buggy. Your character is constantly glitching out as if he is falling down from high ground or starts randomly floating in the air if you step on a tiny piece of debris, during which none of your inputs work. Play the first game, it's way better than this mess.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

The sound fx and graphics are icing on the cake. Truly a gem. All the guns feel very different and powerful. Melee is done so well. A 3rd person shooter with souls like bosses...absurd amounts of real secrets with tons of replayability. I bought remnant one on a hunch...it was between that and boarderlands 3 at the time. I knew what i would get with boarderlands...but had no idea that I would love this game this much. I love dark souls games...never thought a 3rd person shooter blend would work so well.
It's hard for me to say that I recommend remnant 2 over 1...1 was so good too, but they just made part 2 10x better. I'm afraid if i recommend part 1 first that people may feel its dated and not play it long enough to see how amazing it is. It is just as good but lacks a lot of quality of life that part 2 has...but I'm telling you that you will still fall in love with it if you play it for more than 5-8h. Then when you play part 2 you will be amazed at how much it improved.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I originally enjoyed it for the combat and co-op for over 200 hours on my PS5, but coming back to it and actually digging into everything has made me appreciate just how much is hidden in this game. There are entire archetypes, weapons, armor sets, bosses, puzzles, alternate rewards, and areas that you can completely miss. Even after you think you've cleared a world, there's a good chance you've barely seen everything it can generate.
The randomized worlds are probably my favorite part. Rerolling doesn't just mean running the exact same content again with enemies shuffled around. Different storylines, dungeons, bosses, events, and secrets can appear, so exploration actually feels rewarding. I've had plenty of moments where I found something and immediately wondered, “How the f*ck was I EVER supposed to know this was here?” .... and I mean that as a compliment.
Co-op is where the game really shines for me. Exploring with friends, finding some bizarre hidden passage, solving a puzzle together, or accidentally discovering an item none of you knew existed is exactly the kind of multiplayer experience I want. It's cooperative without turning the game into an MMO or forcing PvP into the experience.
It's not perfect. Some secrets cross the line from “cleverly hidden” into “there is absolutely no f*cking way I would've figured that out without looking it up,” and the menus/crossplay systems could definitely be explained better. But those annoyances haven't stopped me from wanting to see what's behind the next door.
If you like Souls-style combat but also love exploration, secrets, buildcrafting, loot, and co-op, Remnant II is absolutely worth playing.

\n\n\t\t\t\t- The character feels insanely stiff, making combat very clunky. Getting hit once is almost a death sentence because it's nearly impossible to get away from enemies and you'll get stunlocked if enemies surround you. This sucks even harder on boss fights that summon adds.
- The level designs are extremely poor and are so maze-like. This game is the ultimate "where the ♥♥♥♥ am I supposed to go?" simulator.
- Boss fights vary from "Okay that was pretty cool" to "What the ♥♥♥♥ whoever designed this needs to be shot"
- Literally everything is cryptic and barely explained. This game requires you to be checking the Wiki constantly because the game is nearly impossible to play without it. Pretty much every area, item, and mechanic is a puzzle with vague hints of what to do.
- Maps feel like a chore to walk through, especially if you're trying to figure out where the hell you're supposed to be going. The minimap doesn't even have cardinal directions on them so it's possible to accidentally end up walking south when you really meant to be walking north.
- Everything in this game feels slow. Using items and consumables feels like a challenge because your animations are slower than enemies attacks, so you will get interrupted if you don't time them just right. The same goes with reloading guns.
- There are many unlocks that are available only through multiplayer mechanics. If you don't have anyone to play with to specifically aim for them, there are some things you won't be able to get.
- Ammo starvation is real. If you're on a big map or during some boss fights, it's entirely possible to run out of ammo. There are consumables to restore it (which as I said above, consumables take forever to use) and you can get ammo drops, but it's pure RNG if that happens.
- Replayability is questionable. When you start a new campaign or adventure mode, it's a dice roll of which version of the map you roll and the optional dungeons are also always random. If you're hunting for a specific armor / ring / weapon / amulet, you'll basically need to keep rolling the dice over and over until you get the map you want. The main areas and boss fights stay the same, so it can become repetitive quickly.

Bullet sponges, a slow moving catatonic character, nothing smooth at all, clunky non responsive controls. No skill or prowess shines through regardless of if I have it. That is why it is difficult. It expects you to give it your time grinding and unfairly dying to "upgrade weapons" or "boost stats" and other garbage. That should not be the game. The experience and execution of skill drives gameplay and the rest enhances. I don't understand how anyone would find it fun to unfairly die 20 times on the same mini boss. I mean that, you cannot dodge things in time, get openings to even reload or heal fast enough to function, strategy is scarce... basically just waiting to get lucky in the programming of monster behavior until you are allowed to win by chance. I respect difficulty but there is a difference from a learning curve and having the system stacked against you.
There are so many wonderful fun games to play over a sloppy mess of controls and frustration to make me waste the night... I should get paid to do that. Or go to the gym... but I clearly am playing games instead...... This GAME is GREAT if you want to hit the gym and need motivation to STOP playing games and go lift heavy stuff LOL

\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\tLets first start by saying that i enjoyed this game a lot,i didnt play remnant before and i just started with remnant 2,i played with friends and so it was pretty chaotic and that is what made it more the better.
I really like how each playthrough the map and etc can change and it makes it so the replayability generally high, and by adding different difficulty and making some items like unlockable only by playing that difficulty encourages the players to try other difficulty or even make new characters to try them on.
I also love how depending on your playstyle,you can choose what to use and what to wear,some might prefer drip and some might prefer stats,but nevertheless it gives the freedom of choice. Sound and visual is definetely good for a 2A game,i would even consider this quality a 3A tbh.
