The multiplayer is fast, chaotic and incredibly satisfying, especially when everything starts blowing up around you. It may not have the same atmosphere as BF1, but the gameplay is great and there’s still a lot of fun to be had here. Definitely worth playing if you want a good WWII experience.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

Medics are, far and away, the best class in the game. Phenomenal weapons and the ability to heal infinitely where other classes just get shafted - cannot be overstated how useful it is, especially in a game like Battlefield, where team-focused teammates can be hard to come by sometimes.
Conversely, Support (my favorite class to play in most battlefields) has never felt worse. All the high capacity MMG options have to be fired PRONE 🤮🤮🤮 or on a bipod to be remotely accurate, because that was clearly the issue of LMGs in previous games - the ability to MOVE AND FIRE. Definitely not people just lying prone on a 200+ round LMG firing down a hallway. Support is then stuck with either Shotguns (not a bad thing to be stuck with, but not great in the suppression department) or LMGs (who somehow have less capacity than assault weapons.) At least they have the Lunge Mine.
Despite having a straight-up customization tree, the guns still feel less unique than BF1, a game where the only customization you could do was the zoom, recoil direction, and adding/removing bayonet.
The revive is in theory kind of interesting, but having to sit there EVERY TIME and listen to my player character groan and cry for help was cool the first 5 times it happened, and now it's just annoying. Yep I died, no medics around, bummer.
Vehicles seem near-impossible to deal with or even interact with as a infantry (ESPECIALLY PLANES!) In previous Battlefield Games, a well-equipped player could take out a tank all on their own. In BFV? Good luck. Tank vs. Tank combat is also a complete bore. Tanks have so much health that often it boils down to "ok we're gonna sit still and shoot at each other, until one of us gets too low so we have to run away." Planes are just ridiculous. The sheer inability that most classes have at interacting with them or even dissuading them is unbelievable. If you're playing this game, prepare to be killed multiple times by planes and not be able to do anything about it.
To my knowledge, there is only one active US server, and it's rotation is Strategic Conquest with large open vehicle maps, aka, infantry running for a minute and a half just to get exploded by a plane/tank. A large amount of my complaints could in theory be resolved by playing on more infantry-focused maps/operations, but alas, less active player count than Battlefield 1.
The only parts I "like" about this game are the building, and the more unique options classes have for guns. It's nice to be able to use blatantly different types of weapons per class, and all classes having an option for almost all ranges is really nice. And the building is fun. I like being able to make/repair cover + emplacements, makes it so once an objective is blown to ♥♥♥♥ I don't feel like I'm just running in an open field with no cover waiting to get sniped (like the rest of the map).
Maybe I needed to play this with some friends so I could get an actually reliable and competent squad in order to do stuff with, but this game is, at the very least, quite unbearable solo.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t

I have found the multiplayer excellent in my experience from PS4 to PC, the quality of life improvements in this game such as better crouch controls not to mention crouch sprinting were a welcome enhancement of the gameplay.
On the campaign side the War Stories fragmented narrative returns, which in my view is a fantastic structure for war oriented shooters given it allows the creators to tell disparate stories across what are World Wars after all. While I understand the criticism levied against this game given the way it plays fast and loose with some of the facts I still believe the stories they did tell in a vacuum are good war stories. Whether or not they are good stories about this war in particular is a different debate.
The final War Story, The Last Tiger, is genuinely one of the best first person shooter campaigns I have played. It is among the best campaigns to capture the feeling of hell, hopelessness, and frenetic and always moving moral guardrails that come at the end of a war where reflection paints over the hunger to survive.
I highly recommend this video game, growing up in the 2000s meant being surrounded by a plethora of WW2 set first person shooters and Battlefield V is a great return to form. The graphics are still phenomenally dense and cinematic, levels offer great choice and many weapons to choose from, and the action still feels properly impactful, tense, and fun all the same. I decided to pick it up since it went on sale for 5 bucks and I figured why not give it another try. The main problem I have and why I can't recommend it is because for some reason the games boot up time is absurd, it never goes to the correct resolution and stutters the whole way duing the loading screen. The other issue is once I finally get in a game 20 minutes later it freezes about every 10-15 seconds and the goes right back to normal over and over again. I don't understand what causes it but it would be nice if it could be fixed... we all know EA couldn't fathom this idea. Either way if someone knows what does cause it or a fix PLEASE HELP because I would actually like to give the game another fair shot and play it for longer than 20 seconds without a stutter.\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t
